Great, typically 70s, funk-inflected action cue from this early Peter Hyams' buddy-cop thriller.
Music clip culled from the season 1 television film of "Columbo" entitled "Murder by the Book" in which writer Ken Franklin (actor Jack Cassidy) is creating mess inside the office of his partner writer James Ferris (actor Martin Milner) to simulate an attack and drives him to his private house in the countryside to gun him down. Composer Billy Goldenberg writes a foe character theme with a harpsichord and an electric sitar combined with touches of reverberation to highlight the sophistication and the evil in the man.
One of my favorite movies; 'Duel' (1971) was Steven Spielberg's public debute as a film director. It was a TV movie based on a story by Richard Matheson that appeared in Playboy Magazine. The story is very simple: David Mann (Dennis Weaver) has an appointment but encounters an old tank truck, he decides to overtake it. The trucker then begins his deadly game. The music was composed by Billy Goldenberg and captures the primal emotions of the film really well. 'Duel' and its music are property of Universal Pictures

Music clips culled from the season 2 television film of "Columbo" entitled "A Stitch In Crime" in which heart surgeon Dr. Barry Mayfield (actor Leonard Nimoy) is hidden in the dark in a hospital's parking garage to knock and kill nurse Sharon Martin (actress Ann Francis) near her car and then he is waiting in the dark motel room of his next victim Harry Alexander (actor Jared Martin) to drug him and simulate an overdose. Composer Billy Goldenberg writes a music score that contains gloomy orchestral music combined with electronics and filled with distortions, echo and psychedelic arrangements for the murder scenes. The last four seconds feature a cue from Dick De Benectis' "The Most Crucial Game" score.

Music clip culled from the season 1 television film of "Columbo" entitled "Ransom for a Dead Man" in which lawyer Leslie Williams (actress Lee Grant) is preparing a ransom note, tricks a recording, and finally guns down her husband Paul (actor Harlan Warde) on his way home. Composer Billy Goldenberg first plays a delicate harpsichord to introduce the female criminal and then uses electronic instruments to emphasize the sudden brutality of the crime.
