Faith Renée Evans (born June 10, 1973) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, and author. Born in Florida and raised in New Jersey, Evans relocated to Los Angeles in 1993 for a career in the music business. After working as a backing vocalist for Al B. Sure and Christopher Williams, she became the first female artist to contract with Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment recording company in 1994, for which she collaborated with several label mates such as Mary J. Blige and Carl Thomas and released three platinum-certified studio albums between 1995 and 2001, including Faith (1995), Keep the Faith (1998) and Faithfully (2001).
In 2003, she ended her relationship with the company to sign with Capitol Records. Her first album released on the label, The First Lady (2005) became her highest-charting album at the time, reaching the top of the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, while the holiday album A Faithful Christmas, released the same year, would become her last release before the company was bought in 2007. Following a longer hiatus, Evans released her fifth album Something About Faith on the independent label Prolific/E1 Music in 2010.

Plot: Michael is not thrilled about his family's move to New Hope, a small, close-knit southern town. After all, it is his senior year. He is even less enthused about joining the town's high school basketball team, especially when he begins to bump heads with the team's star player, Lucas. Lucas is fiercely loyal to the memory of his brother Chase -- the victim of a suicide that shook the entire town to its core. To Lucas, Michael is reaping everything Chase left behind -- an insult he refuses to accept. Jasmine, Chase's longtime girlfriend, still has not found peace a year after his tragic death -- until a chance meeting with Michael. Michael's faith is tested as he endures confrontations with Lucas on and off the basketball court and through his growing fascination with Jasmine. With topics including peer pressure, alcohol, sex, suicide, relationships, and acceptance, New Hope captures the life of the modern teenager.

Faith Evans stops by Sirius XM to sit down with Dj Kayslay to build about her new Duo album with the late Notorious BIG "The King & I" and also reminisce about a few moments with BIG.
One of the few things that made Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.‘s beef personal was the involvement of Faith Evans. During their rap tiff, she was still married to Biggie and rumors circulated that Shakur had sexual relations with Evans (“That’s why I f—ed your bitch you fat motherf—er on,” he rhymes on ‘Hit ‘Em Up‘). In a previously unreleased interview with Video Music Box, the songstress addresses all of the rumors. In the footage, which seems to be from the late ’90s, Evans denies having such a relationship with Shakur. The two previously collaborated on ‘Wonder Why They Call U Bitch‘ off ‘All Eyez on Me.’ She says “there really never was a situation,” and heard the rumors after working with him. “I come back home and the first thing I hear that has nothing to do with his record ...

Baby, if I just been a little different lately.
But I wanna understand you so much more.
Open the door. anything just tell me.
Open up and say it baby.
Lately, I've been tryin to keep my distance crazy.
It's not what I expected at first
But now I undersatnad you gotta be a man.
And now it so clear to me so you can keep it real with me.
You ever wondered what makes a woman cry
you ever wondered why sometimes you make me cry
you ever wondered what makes a woman smile
its just the little things, you do to make me smile
Maybe, we jumped into this situation to early
But it's something that our bodies can't ignore
Now you want more but I think I'm ready
Just open up and say it baby
Baby, not to mention that you got me feelin' crazy
Everytime you walk through my door
My emotions won't let me say no
And now I'm wonderin' if after this you'll want me more
You see I'm feelin' you
You know I'm wantin' to
Put all my trust in you
'cause aint no guarantee
And I'm so glad you do
I feel the same way too
