Dallas (/ˈdæləs/) is a major city in the state of Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines. The bulk of the city is in Dallas County, of which it is the county seat; however, sections of the city are located in Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. According to the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 1,197,816. The United States Census Bureau's estimate for the city's population increased to 1,281,047, as of 2014.
Victoria Principal (born January 3, 1950) is an American actress, author and businesswoman best known for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the CBS nighttime soap opera Dallas (1978–87).
Vicki Ree Principal was born in Fukuoka, Japan, the elder daughter of United States Air Force sergeant Victor Rocco Principal (1918–2001), who was then stationed in Fukuoka. Her paternal grandparents were emigrants from Italy, originally surnamed Principale. Her mother, Ree (née Veal) Principal (1924-2009), was born in Gordon, Georgia, and was of English descent. She has a younger sister, Kim, who is married to composer Russell Fetherolf.
As her father was in the US military, they moved often; she grew up in London, Puerto Rico, Florida, Massachusetts, and Georgia, among other places. She attended 17 different schools, including studying at the Royal Ballet School while her family was stationed in England.
She began her career in TV commercials, appearing in her first at age five. After graduating from South Dade Senior High School in 1968, she enrolled at Miami-Dade Community College, intending to study medicine. However, months before completing her first year of studies, she was seriously injured in a car crash while driving home from the library. The other driver was convicted of drunk driving and served jail time. Principal spent months in recovery and was faced with the prospect of having to take her first year of studies over again. After a period of serious introspection, she drastically changed her life by moving to New York City to pursue her acting career, and shortly thereafter to Europe. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and then in 1971 moved to Los Angeles.
Sue Ellen Ewing (maiden name Shepard) is a fictional character and one of the female leads in the CBS primetime soap opera Dallas and its continuation series. Sue Ellen is portrayed by actress Linda Gray, and has appeared on the show since its pilot episode, first broadcast on April 2, 1978. Dallas follows the trials of the wealthy Ewing family in the city of Dallas, Texas, into which Sue Ellen married when she wed the notoriously evil J. R. Ewing. Gray played Sue Ellen until the twelfth season of Dallas, when her character finally leaves Texas after beating J.R. at his own game, seen in the episode "Reel Life". However, Gray later returned for the series finale "Conundrum Part II", the subsequent Dallas telemovies ("J.R. Returns" and "War of the Ewings"), and the reunion special entitled Dallas Reunion: The Return to Southfork, which aired in 2004, and reunited her with former castmates.
Sue Ellen's storylines in the first season focus on the character's bout with alcohol and her slowly deteriorating relationship with her husband. The final episode of the season focused on the birth of her son with J.R., John Ross Ewing III. While her relationship with J.R. is not always harmonious, it's a significant aspect of her overall character. As the series progressed, Sue Ellen came into her own as an individual character. The actress has said of her character's personality: "I never wanted her to be boring. She was never boring before – she started out kind of boring, but I think that's the kiss of death because people will expect her to be interesting." Gray later described Sue Ellen as being, "one of the most interesting characters on TV in the 1980s. She was the original Desperate Housewife. She led the way for all those girls."
Linda Ann Gray (born September 12, 1940) is an American film, stage and television actress, director, producer and former model, best known for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing, the long-suffering wife of Larry Hagman's character on the long-running CBS television drama series Dallas (1978–1989), for which she was nominated for the 1981 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The role also earned her two Golden Globe Award nominations.
Gray began her career in the 1960s in television commercials. In the 1970s, she appeared in numerous TV series before landing the role of Sue Ellen Ewing in 1978. After leaving Dallas in 1989, she appeared opposite Sylvester Stallone in the 1991 film Oscar. From 1994-1995, she played a leading role on the Fox drama series Models Inc.. She has also starred in several TV movies, including Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? (1993) and Accidental Meeting (1994) and reprised her role of Sue Ellen in Dallas: J.R. Returns (1996) and Dallas: War of the Ewings (1998)
This video was created as an homage to a great 80s show and a great 80s heroine (aka Dallas and Sue Ellen Ewing). Sue Ellen made a lot of bad choices on the show, Peter Richards was just one of many. This video depicts their short lived but drama filled love affair.

Betting that this well was going to make him a very rich man, Cliff asked Sue Ellen to marry him. Her loving request to for a little time to think things over led him to believe that there was a very good chance that she'd accept. Cliff was completely flabbergasted when JR walked into his office one day, grinning from ear to ear, and announced that he had tricked Cliff into buying a dry hole. When Cliff cited the geological reports, JR said they were fake. Cliff was stunned and redoubled drilling efforts for a short while, but then finally accepted the fact that he had been swindled out of $4,500,000. He was now frantic because the loss of $4,000,000 could put Wentworth Tool & Die out of business and, not knowing where to turn, he went to Sue Ellen to borrow the money to pay back the...

Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area. Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hos...
For more destinations: http://www.craig.reviews/united-states/ For more information on Dallas: http://www.craig.reviews/a-weekend-in-dallas/ Each weekend that I travel to a different city I try to pack in as many fun and interesting attractions as possible. To showcase how easy and cheap it can be to see the country, I do not take any time off of work (I have to work a full 40 hours on each side of the weekend). Additionally, I use a couple money saving techniques like couch surfing and kayak explore. This weekend I am in Dallas, and here is my itinerary: 1) Spirit/DART 2) Farmer's Market (Free) 3) Christmas Parade (Free) 4) Thanksgiving Square (Free) 5) Pioneer Park (Free) 6) Fountain Place (Free) 7) Klyde Warren Park ($10.71 for lunch) 8) Dallas World Aquarium (Some Free Exhibits) 9) 6...

He would probably have settled on any beat up old truck, but everything she seemed to like was way out of their price range. "Look!" she said. "I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in 4 seconds or less. And my birthday is coming up. You could surprise me." So, for her birthday, he bought her a brand new bathroom scale.
