Im Zug Richtung Grenze begegnet ihm der Amerikaner Paul Scarff, eine Nervensäge, doch mit mexikanischem Pass. Der skrupellose Schaffner beseitigt Scarff und vollzieht einen Identitätstausch. Aber damit reitet er sich noch tiefer rein: Scarff nämlich wird in Mexiko als Mörder gesucht - tot oder lebendig.
Schönes Beispiel für den britischen Film noir mit einem großartigen Rod Steiger in der Hauptrolle.

Полное имя — Кеннет Купер Эннакин (Kenneth Cooper Annakin).
Кеннет Купер Эннакин родился 10 августа 1914 года в Беверли, Великобритания. Из-за крайне неприязненных отношений с родителями (он даже отказывался назвать их имена своим дочерям), не закончив среднее образование в школе Beverley Grammar School, он отправился в путешествия в Австралию, Новую Зеландию и США. Вернувшись на родину, Кен работал страховым агентом, продавал подержанные автомобили, после устроился на службу в ВВС механиком. В 1942 году был ранен под Ливерпулем и был демобилизован, стал работать кинооператором документальных фильмов, снимаемых по заказу Министерств информации и обороны. В том же году, работая в фильме «Мы служим» (англ. We Serve), обратил на себя внимание режиссёра этой ленты Кэрола Рида, который предложил Кену стать своим ассистентом. В том же 1942 году Кен впервые стал режиссёром собственной ленты: «Лондон 1942» (англ. London 1942), рассказывающей о жизни лондонцев под бомбёжками. До 1946 года Эннакин снимал исключительно агитационно-образовательные фильмы, последним в этом ряду стал «Английское уголовное правосудие» (англ. English Criminal Justice).
В 1979 году переехал на постоянное место жительства в США и поселился в Лос-Анджелесе, но несмотря на это в 2002 году стал офицером Ордена Британской империи. Скончался в Беверли-Хиллз 22 апреля 2009 года на 95-м году жизни от заболевания сердца. Кен Эннакин умер в один день с Джеком Кардиффом, кинооператором, который работал у него на съёмках фильма «Пятый мушкетёр» (1979).

Ken Annakin
Kenneth Cooper "Ken" Annakin, OBE (10 August 1914 – 22 April 2009) was a prolific English film director.
His career spanned half a century, beginning in the early 1940s and ending in 2002. His career peaked in the 1960s with large-scale adventure films and in all he directed nearly 50 pictures.
Biography
Annakin was born in and grew up in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire where he attended the grammar school. He began his career in feature films following an early experience making documentaries. Injured in the Liverpool blitz, he joined the RAF Film Unit, where he worked as camera operator on propaganda films for the Ministry of Information and the British Council. We Serve (1942), a recruiting film for women, was directed by Carol Reed, who made Annakin his assistant director, after which Annakin directed several training films for Verity Films, a group led by Sydney Box, who was about to become head of Gainsborough Pictures. His first filmwork was in 1947 with the Rank Organisation. The following year he moved to Gainsborough Pictures to direct three films about the Huggetts, a working-class family living in suburban England. These highly successful films starred Jack Warner, Kathleen Harrison, Petula Clark and Diana Dors, amongst others. Annakin also became known for a series of Walt Disney adventures, including The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952), The Sword and the Rose (1953), Third Man on the Mountain (1959) and Swiss Family Robinson (1960), which Walt Disney’s nephew, Roy E. Disney, considered "one of the greatest family adventure films of all time and a favourite for generations of moviegoers".

Полное имя — Кеннет Купер Эннакин (Kenneth Cooper Annakin).
Кеннет Купер Эннакин родился 10 августа 1914 года в Беверли, Великобритания. Из-за крайне неприязненных отношений с родителями (он даже отказывался назвать их имена своим дочерям), не закончив среднее образование в школе Beverley Grammar School, он отправился в путешествия в Австралию, Новую Зеландию и США. Вернувшись на родину, Кен работал страховым агентом, продавал подержанные автомобили, после устроился на службу в ВВС механиком. В 1942 году был ранен под Ливерпулем и был демобилизован, стал работать кинооператором документальных фильмов, снимаемых по заказу Министерств информации и обороны. В том же году, работая в фильме «Мы служим» (англ. We Serve), обратил на себя внимание режиссёра этой ленты Кэрола Рида, который предложил Кену стать своим ассистентом. В том же 1942 году Кен впервые стал режиссёром собственной ленты: «Лондон 1942» (англ. London 1942), рассказывающей о жизни лондонцев под бомбёжками. До 1946 года Эннакин снимал исключительно агитационно-образовательные фильмы, последним в этом ряду стал «Английское уголовное правосудие» (англ. English Criminal Justice).
В 1979 году переехал на постоянное место жительства в США и поселился в Лос-Анджелесе, но несмотря на это в 2002 году стал офицером Ордена Британской империи. Скончался в Беверли-Хиллз 22 апреля 2009 года на 95-м году жизни от заболевания сердца. Miranda is a 1948 British comedy film, directed by Ken Annakin and written by Peter Blackmore, who also wrote the play of the same name from which the film was adapted. Denis Waldock provided additional dialogue. A light comedy, the film is about a beautiful and playful mermaid played by Glynis Johns and her effect on Griffith Jones. She is a New York based director, her recent credits include SDC Observer for Kathleen Marshall on "Living on Love" on Broadway and assistant directing off-Broadway for "Long Story Short" and "The Underclassman". She is an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers union, as well as a proud alumni of the National Theater Institute and Ithaca College.

Im Zug Richtung Grenze begegnet ihm der Amerikaner Paul Scarff, eine Nervensäge, doch mit mexikanischem Pass. Der skrupellose Schaffner beseitigt Scarff und vollzieht einen Identitätstausch. Aber damit reitet er sich noch tiefer rein: Scarff nämlich wird in Mexiko als Mörder gesucht - tot oder lebendig. Полное имя — Кеннет Купер Эннакин (Kenneth Cooper Annakin).
Кеннет Купер Эннакин родился 10 августа 1914 года в Беверли, Великобритания. Из-за крайне неприязненных отношений с родителями (он даже отказывался назвать их имена своим дочерям), не закончив среднее образование в школе Beverley Grammar School, он отправился в путешествия в Австралию, Новую Зеландию и США. Банда новичков-преступников похищает в Италии знаменитого американского гангстера Чезаре Челли. Главарь дилетантов Гарри Прайс требует выкуп в размере пяти миллионов долларов, уверенный, что криминальные авторитеты готовы заплатить даже больше за освобождение своего старого товарища.
Однако те не спешат собирать деньги, и раздосадованному похитителю приходится выдумывать новый план, чтобы хотя бы покрыть бессмысленные затраты.
Гарри решает украсть огромный груз платины, но тут к нему начинает приставать со своими советами сам Чезаре Челли. В конце концов, у него в таких делах куда больше опыта!
