YHMC - Hamilton International Airport Expansion Project
YHMC's Hamilton Airport Expansion sought to address the influx in passenger and cargo air traffic at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM). YHMC focused the upgrades to the airport on the design of a new terminal building and pavement upgrades to the runway. The L-shaped terminal building was required to adequately fit three passenger jet bridges, while the open concept lobby was structurally designed to accommodate modern architectural standards. The runway extension features a 300 m Runway End Safety Area to prevent airplane overruns, and the parallel taxiway system allows for tighter scheduled arrivals and departures.
