Police officers have arrested a driver after a chase through three counties and into south Houston.
According to Webster police, the chase began shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when a patrol officer caught a suspect attempting to break into a car at an Academy off the Gulf Freeway and NASA Parkway in the Webster area.
"One of our detectives saw a subject popping a lock on a vehicle and called it in and multiple units responded and the subject fled the scene," officer Gary Wirt said.
The officer tried to stop the suspect when police say the man jumped into a white pickup truck and fled the scene. Authorities say the vehicle had no license plates and was possibly stolen.
Police chased him on I-45 north to Beltway 8 to Highway 288, then back to the South Belt.
The pursuit then went into Missouri City, Pearland and Stafford.
Eventually the suspect pulled over near the South Belt and Highway 288 and was taken into custody.
There were at least two wrecks during the chase. A person driving an Acura was hit on South Gardner Street and was taken to the hospital with injuries. That driver's condition has not been released
Authorities are unsure of what charges will be pressed, but they could possibly include failure to stop and render aid and felony evading arrest.
As of Friday afternoon, Webster Police had not released the suspect's name.

Police have identified two men who were reportedly casing a neighborhood before leading police on a 50-mile chase from Pearland to southwest Houston Thursday afternoon.
Cory Eugene Tauton Jr., 29, and John Durann Turner, 33, were arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity/ burglary of a habitation.
The Pearland Police Department received a call reporting suspicious persons in the 8400 block of Nahas Court. The caller said men were asking for people at a home who did not live there. The officer who responded to the call attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop and a chase began.
The suspects led police on a chase to West Sam Houston Parkway South near West Airport, then fled from their gold minivan, hopped over the median and began running. At least 10 squad cars were seen on the freeway behind the abandoned van and officers began a foot chase.
The men ran from the police and into the sights of security guard Ricky Anderson.
“When I told them to freeze, they continued to run. So I had to draw down on one of them,” he said.
Anderson saw the men run into the truck yard of his warehouse complex. He ran outside and confronted them.
“I asked them what they needed and they turned around and ran,” said Anderson. “I went outside after them. I said, ‘What can I help you with?’ And he said, 'Go, go, go.’ And that’s when I noticed all the commotion. So I drew down on them.”
He didn't stop them, but slowed them down considerably. They jumped a fence and tried to go around the building but gave up when Pearland police caught up with them.
“There was no force needed to detain these guys. They surrendered without incident, although one did fall out,” said Anderson.
With guns drawn, officers handcuffed the men. One was taken into custody immediately, but the other had to receive medical attention at the scene after a possible drug overdose.
Paramedics checked him out, then loaded him onto a stretcher.
Police checked the neighborhood where it all started and discovered a home in the 3200 block of Princess Court Bay had been burglarized. Items recovered from the minivan were linked to the burglary.
Police said a juvenile suspect was also involved. He was transported to the Brazoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Pearland Police Department, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety were involved in the chase.
Police recovered a large screen TV and several purses from the suspects' vehicle.

Houston police captured Justin Johnson, 21, who is accused of violating his parole, after he led them on a 45-mintute, high-speed chase Monday afternoon from Houston to Fort Bend County.
Houston police said the chase started shortly after 1 p.m. at Chimney Rock near Highway 90.
Johnson spoke exclusively to Channel 2 investigators Bill Spencer just minutes after his arrest.
Spencer: "What did you run from the police for? What’s the problem?"
Johnson: "I was on a parole violation run."
Spencer: "Parole violation?”
Johnson: "A run. I had cut the ankle monitor off my leg, just making a dumb decision."
Police said Johnson is a known gang member who shot a man several years ago and served time in prison. There was a probation violation warrant out for his arrest Monday morning when they spotted him driving erratically through a residential neighborhood.
Driving a red sedan, he refused to pull over and led officers on the 59 Southwest Freeway south to Spur 10 north in Fort Bend County, police said.
The driver then went eastbound on Highway 36 toward Rosenberg, then got on Highway 90.
Sky 2 aerials then showed the chase took place at high speeds southbound on 59 Southwest Freeway.
The car then went off the highway and onto a dirt road construction area, where the driver bailed out.
Johnson, wearing a black shirt and shorts, then ran across the northbound lanes of the highway and into a residential area.
He then appeared to get tired and, eventually, he laid on the ground with his arms and legs spread outside an assisted-living facility.
Officers approached, handcuffed him and took him into custody.
Johnson tells Channel 2 News that a month ago he cut the electronic monitoring device off his leg so authorities couldn't track him. When police started chasing him Monday, he knew he would be going back to jail.
"I was in jail a long time and I just wanted to be free. That's it. I was in jail four years and they put this ankle monitor on me last year and I just wanted to be free. Hang out with my friends," Johnson told KPRC 2 News.
Johnson told KPRC 2 what he did Monday was wrong and that he plans to plead guilty to evading arrest charges.
"I made a dumb decision. There isn't no excuse for it. I'm just ready to go to jail because I made a dumb decision," he said.

Recorded LIVE October 28, 2013. HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police were pursuing a suspect in southwest Houston, occasionally at slow speeds through residential neighborhoods, for about half an hour before he gave himself up. The driver appeared to be cautious, not driving at high speeds, and even using turn signals, although he ran through some stop signs and traffic signals. It's unknown why Houston police officers began chasing the suspect, who was driving a dark colored sedan. The pursuit started at about 11:15m in the 5600 block of S. Braeswood. The driver traveled on the Beltway 8 feeder roads, making a repeated loop back and forth. At one point, the driver pulled through a gas station, and kept going. On a second pass into the same gas station, the man stopped the car, got out and laid down on the ground. He was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries or collisions have been reported. It's not yet known what charges the driver may face.

Eyewitness News
Eyewitness News is a style of news broadcasting that is used by local television stations in different markets around the world. It refers to a particular style of television newscast with an emphasis on visual elements and action video. It replaced the traditional "man-on-camera" newscast.
History
Pioneered by Westinghouse
The earliest known use of the Eyewitness News name in American television was in April 1959 when KYW-TV - at the time, based in Cleveland, Ohio and owned by Westinghouse Broadcasting - launched the nation's first 90-minute local newscast (under the title Eyewitness), which was combined with the then 15-minute national newscast. The name was then adopted for use by Westinghouse's other television stations – KPIX in San Francisco, California; WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland; WBZ-TV in Boston, Massachusetts and KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – for their local newscasts.
After the KYW-TV call letters, management, and some staffers moved from Cleveland to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1965 (the result of a government-ordered reversal of a 1956 station swap involving it and Cleveland's WNBK (the current day WKYC) between Westinghouse and NBC) its then-news director, Al Primo, created the Eyewitness News format. In this format, which was meant to be faster in pace than the standard newscast format (in which an anchor simply read headlines), a reporter in the field would be the "eyewitness" to a news event to the anchor in the studio and the viewer at home. The anchors became personalities instead of presenters with the introduction of banter, or "happy talk" as it was named by Al Primo. Anchors would give their own personal comments in between stories to let viewers know their personalities.

The Raven
"The Raven" is a narrative poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language, and supernatural atmosphere. It tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. The lover, often identified as being a student, is lamenting the loss of his love, Lenore. Sitting on a bust of Pallas, the raven seems to further instigate his distress with its constant repetition of the word "Nevermore". The poem makes use of a number of folk, mythological, religious, and classical references.
Poe claimed to have written the poem very logically and methodically, intending to create a poem that would appeal to both critical and popular tastes, as he explained in his 1846 follow-up essay, "The Philosophy of Composition". The poem was inspired in part by a talking raven in the novel Barnaby Rudge: A Tale of the Riots of 'Eighty by Charles Dickens. Poe borrows the complex rhythm and meter of Elizabeth Barrett's poem "Lady Geraldine's Courtship", and makes use of internal rhyme as well as alliteration throughout.

Steven Wilson
Steven John Wilson (born 3 November 1967) is an English musician and record producer, most associated with the progressive rock genre. Currently a successful solo artist, he became known as the founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands. He has also worked with artists such as Opeth, King Crimson, Pendulum, Jethro Tull, XTC, Yes, Marillion, Orphaned Land and Anathema.
Wilson is a self-taught producer, audio engineer, guitar and keyboard player, playing other instruments as needed, including bass guitar, autoharp, hammered dulcimer and flute. He currently lives in Hemel Hempstead, the town he grew up in, but has also spent time living in London and Tel Aviv, Israel, although he does not hold a residence in Tel Aviv anymore.
His music has received wide acclaim. He has been four times nominated for the Grammy Awards, twice with Porcupine Tree, with his collaborative band Storm Corrosion and as a soloist on one occasion. In 2015, he received three awards at the London Progressive Music Awards for his services to the world of progressive rock music and crowned "the king of prog rock".

Houston police captured Justin Johnson, 21, who is accused of violating his parole, after he led them on a 45-mintute, high-speed chase Monday afternoon from Houston to Fort Bend County. Houston police said the chase started shortly after 1 p.m. at Chimney Rock near Highway 90. Johnson spoke exclusively to Channel 2 investigators Bill Spencer just minutes after his arrest. Spencer: "What did you run from the police for? What’s the problem?" Johnson: "I was on a parole violation run." Spencer: "Parole violation?” Johnson: "A run. I had cut the ankle monitor off my leg, just making a dumb decision." Police said Johnson is a known gang member who shot a man several years ago and served time in prison. There was a probation violation warrant out for his arrest Monday morning when they spotted him driving erratically through a residential neighborhood. Driving a red sedan, he refused to pull over and led officers on the 59 Southwest Freeway south to Spur 10 north in Fort Bend County, police said. The driver then went eastbound on Highway 36 toward Rosenberg, then got on Highway 90. Sky 2 aerials then showed the chase took place at high speeds southbound on 59 Southwest Freeway. The car then went off the highway and onto a dirt road construction area, where the driver bailed out. Johnson, wearing a black shirt and shorts, then ran across the northbound lanes of the highway and into a residential area. He then appeared to get tired and, eventually, he laid on the ground with his arms and legs spread outside an assisted-living facility. Officers approached, handcuffed him and took him into custody. Johnson tells Channel 2 News that a month ago he cut the electronic monitoring device off his leg so authorities couldn't track him. When police started chasing him Monday, he knew he would be going back to jail. "I was in jail a long time and I just wanted to be free. That's it. I was in jail four years and they put this ankle monitor on me last year and I just wanted to be free. Hang out with my friends," Johnson told KPRC 2 News. Johnson told KPRC 2 what he did Monday was wrong and that he plans to plead guilty to evading arrest charges. "I made a dumb decision. There isn't no excuse for it. I'm just ready to go to jail because I made a dumb decision," he said. -

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police were pursuing a suspect in southwest Houston, occasionally at slow speeds through residential neighborhoods, for about half an hour before he gave himself up. The driver appeared to be cautious, not driving at high speeds, and even using turn signals, although he ran through some stop signs and traffic signals. It's unknown why Houston police officers began chasing the suspect, who was driving a dark colored sedan. The pursuit started at about 11:15m in the 5600 block of S. Braeswood. The driver traveled on the Beltway 8 feeder roads, making a repeated loop back and forth. At one point, the driver pulled through a gas station, and kept going. On a second pass into the same gas station, the man stopped the car, got out and laid down on the ground. He was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries or collisions have been reported. It's not yet known what charges the driver may face. Stay with ABC13 Eyewitness News for the latest on this developing situation. -

Friday, June 13, 2014 Police officers have arrested a driver after a chase through three counties and into south Houston. According to Webster police, the chase began shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when a patrol officer caught a suspect attempting to break into a car at an Academy off the Gulf Freeway and NASA Parkway in the Webster area. "One of our detectives saw a subject popping a lock on a vehicle and called it in and multiple units responded and the subject fled the scene," officer Gary Wirt said. The officer tried to stop the suspect when police say the man jumped into a white pickup truck and fled the scene. Authorities say the vehicle had no license plates and was possibly stolen. Police officers have arrested a driver after a chase through three counties and into south Houston.
According to Webster police, the chase began shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when a patrol officer caught a suspect attempting to break into a car at an Academy off the Gulf Freeway and NASA Parkway in the Webster area.
"One of our detectives saw a subject popping a lock on a vehicle and called it in and multiple units responded and the subject fled the scene," officer Gary Wirt said.
The officer tried to stop the suspect when police say the man jumped into a white pickup truck and fled the scene. Authorities say the vehicle had no license plates and was possibly stolen.
Police chased him on I-45 north to Beltway 8 to Highway 288, then back to the South Belt.
The pursuit then went into Missouri City, Pearland and Stafford.
Eventually the suspect pulled over near the South Belt and Highway 288 and was taken into custody.
There were at least two wrecks during the chase. A person driving an Acura was hit on South Gardner Street and was taken to the hospital with injuries. That driver's condition has not been released
Authorities are unsure of what charges will be pressed, but they could possibly include failure to stop and render aid and felony evading arrest.
As of Friday afternoon, Webster Police had not released the suspect's name.

Police have identified two men who were reportedly casing a neighborhood before leading police on a 50-mile chase from Pearland to southwest Houston Thursday afternoon.
Cory Eugene Tauton Jr., 29, and John Durann Turner, 33, were arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity/ burglary of a habitation.
The Pearland Police Department received a call reporting suspicious persons in the 8400 block of Nahas Court. The caller said men were asking for people at a home who did not live there. The officer who responded to the call attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop and a chase began.
The suspects led police on a chase to West Sam Houston Parkway South near West Airport, then fled from their gold minivan, hopped over the median and began running. At least 10 squad cars were seen on the freeway behind the abandoned van and officers began a foot chase.
The men ran from the police and into the sights of security guard Ricky Anderson.
“When I told them to freeze, they continued to run. So I had to draw down on one of them,” he said.
Anderson saw the men run into the truck yard of his warehouse complex. He ran outside and confronted them.
“I asked them what they needed and they turned around and ran,” said Anderson. “I went outside after them. I said, ‘What can I help you with?’ And he said, 'Go, go, go.’ And that’s when I noticed all the commotion. So I drew down on them.”
He didn't stop them, but slowed them down considerably. They jumped a fence and tried to go around the building but gave up when Pearland police caught up with them.
“There was no force needed to detain these guys. They surrendered without incident, although one did fall out,” said Anderson.
With guns drawn, officers handcuffed the men. One was taken into custody immediately, but the other had to receive medical attention at the scene after a possible drug overdose.
Paramedics checked him out, then loaded him onto a stretcher.
Police checked the neighborhood where it all started and discovered a home in the 3200 block of Princess Court Bay had been burglarized. Items recovered from the minivan were linked to the burglary.
Police said a juvenile suspect was also involved. He was transported to the Brazoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Pearland Police Department, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety were involved in the chase.
Police recovered a large screen TV and several purses from the suspects' vehicle.

Houston police said the chase started shortly after 1 p.m. at Chimney Rock near Highway 90.
Johnson spoke exclusively to Channel 2 investigators Bill Spencer just minutes after his arrest.
Spencer: "What did you run from the police for? What’s the problem?"
Johnson: "I was on a parole violation run."
Spencer: "Parole violation?”
Johnson: "A run. I had cut the ankle monitor off my leg, just making a dumb decision."
Police said Johnson is a known gang member who shot a man several years ago and served time in prison. There was a probation violation warrant out for his arrest Monday morning when they spotted him driving erratically through a residential neighborhood.
Driving a red sedan, he refused to pull over and led officers on the 59 Southwest Freeway south to Spur 10 north in Fort Bend County, police said.
The driver then went eastbound on Highway 36 toward Rosenberg, then got on Highway 90.
Sky 2 aerials then showed the chase took place at high speeds southbound on 59 Southwest Freeway.
The car then went off the highway and onto a dirt road construction area, where the driver bailed out.
Johnson, wearing a black shirt and shorts, then ran across the northbound lanes of the highway and into a residential area.
He then appeared to get tired and, eventually, he laid on the ground with his arms and legs spread outside an assisted-living facility.
Officers approached, handcuffed him and took him into custody.
Johnson tells Channel 2 News that a month ago he cut the electronic monitoring device off his leg so authorities couldn't track him. When police started chasing him Monday, he knew he would be going back to jail.
"I was in jail a long time and I just wanted to be free. That's it. I was in jail four years and they put this ankle monitor on me last year and I just wanted to be free. Hang out with my friends," Johnson told KPRC 2 News.
Johnson told KPRC 2 what he did Monday was wrong and that he plans to plead guilty to evading arrest charges.
"I made a dumb decision. There isn't no excuse for it. I'm just ready to go to jail because I made a dumb decision," he said.

The driver traveled on the Beltway 8 feeder roads, making a repeated loop back and forth. At one point, the driver pulled through a gas station, and kept going. On a second pass into the same gas station, the man stopped the car, got out and laid down on the ground. He was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries or collisions have been reported. It's not yet known what charges the driver may face.

The album was written between January-July and recorded in Los Angeles in September with Steven's current band line up of Guthrie Govan - lead guitar, Nick Beggs - bass guitar, Marco Minnemann - drums, Adam Holzman - keyboards, Theo Travis - saxophone / flute, and engineered by legendary producer/engineer Alan Parsons. The 6 tracks on the album are all based on stories of the supernatural, and the deluxe 4 disc edition comes in the form of a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories illustrated by Hajo Mueller. In addition to the deluxe edition there will be regular CD, CD/DVDV media book, Blu-Ray and 2LP vinyl editions, with the DVDV and Blu-ray editions featuring a 5.1 mix of the album and other bonus material.
Pre-order date for the limited deluxe edition will be announced soon. The tour to promote the album starts on 1st March in Europe, and will continue throughout the rest of the year visiting many other countries, see confirmed dates on Steven's website.

The album was written between January-July and recorded in Los Angeles in September with Steven's current band line up of Guthrie Govan - lead guitar, Nick Beggs - bass guitar, Marco Minnemann - drums, Adam Holzman - keyboards, Theo Travis - saxophone / flute, and engineered by legendary producer/engineer Alan Parsons. The 6 tracks on the album are all based on stories of the supernatural, and the deluxe 4 disc edition comes in the form of a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories illustrated by Hajo Mueller. In addition to the deluxe edition there will be regular CD, CD/DVDV media book, Blu-Ray and 2LP vinyl editions, with the DVDV and Blu-ray editions featuring a 5.1 mix of the album and other bonus material.
Pre-order date for the limited deluxe edition will be announced soon. The tour to promote the album starts on 1st March in Europe, and will continue throughout the rest of the year visiting many other countries, see confirmed dates on Steven's website.

Steven and his band hit the road touring in support of the new record from March 1, kicking off in the UK and moving into Europe. The tour will continue throughout the rest of 2013, visiting many other countries for which the dates are yet to be revealed. Shows are currently announced in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

On Thursday 9 April 2009 three choristers and Jeff Symms had the opportunity to be interviewed live on air on ABC 666 Canberra - and to have one of their repertoire played on air.
On Monday 13 April they and forty other choristers left for France, Belgium and England for ANZAC Day celebrations - and a lot of fun.
Thanks to the ABC for allowing me to record this, thanks to Jeff for inviting me, and huge thanks to Heather.
One last thing - this is the very first video I've produced, so I'd really appreciate constructive criticism.

Friday, June 13, 2014 Police officers have arrested a driver after a chase through three counties and into south Houston. According to Webster police, the chase began shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when a patrol officer caught a suspect attempting to break into a car at an Academy off the Gulf Freeway and NASA Parkway in the Webster area. "One of our detectives saw a subject popping a lock on a vehicle and called it in and multiple units responded and the subject fled the scene," officer Gary Wirt said. The officer tried to stop the suspect when police say the man jumped into a white pickup truck and fled the scene. Authorities say the vehicle had no license plates and was possibly stolen. Houston police captured Justin Johnson, 21, who is accused of violating his parole, after he led them on a 45-mintute, high-speed chase Monday afternoon from Houston to Fort Bend County. HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police were pursuing a suspect in southwest Houston, occasionally at slow speeds through residential neighborhoods, for about half an hour before he gave himself up. The driver appeared to be cautious, not driving at high speeds, and even using turn signals, although he ran through some stop signs and traffic signals. It's unknown why Houston police officers began chasing the suspect, who was driving a dark colored sedan. The pursuit started at about 11:15m in the 5600 block of S. Braeswood. Police officers have arrested a driver after a chase through three counties and into south Houston.
According to Webster police, the chase began shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when a patrol officer caught a suspect attempting to break into a car at an Academy off the Gulf Freeway and NASA Parkway in the Webster area.
"One of our detectives saw a subject popping a lock on a vehicle and called it in and multiple units responded and the subject fled the scene," officer Gary Wirt said.
The officer tried to stop the suspect when police say the man jumped into a white pickup truck and fled the scene. Authorities say the vehicle had no license plates and was possibly stolen.
Police chased him on I-45 north to Beltway 8 to Highway 288, then back to the South Belt.
The pursuit then went into Missouri City, Pearland and Stafford.
Eventually the suspect pulled over near the South Belt and Highway 288 and was taken into custody.
There were at least two wrecks during the chase. A person driving an Acura was hit on South Gardner Street and was taken to the hospital with injuries. That driver's condition has not been released
Authorities are unsure of what charges will be pressed, but they could possibly include failure to stop and render aid and felony evading arrest.
As of Friday afternoon, Webster Police had not released the suspect's name.

Police have identified two men who were reportedly casing a neighborhood before leading police on a 50-mile chase from Pearland to southwest Houston Thursday afternoon.
Cory Eugene Tauton Jr., 29, and John Durann Turner, 33, were arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity/ burglary of a habitation.
The Pearland Police Department received a call reporting suspicious persons in the 8400 block of Nahas Court. The caller said men were asking for people at a home who did not live there. The officer who responded to the call attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop and a chase began.
The suspects led police on a chase to West Sam Houston Parkway South near West Airport, then fled from their gold minivan, hopped over the median and began running. At least 10 squad cars were seen on the freeway behind the abandoned van and officers began a foot chase.
The men ran from the police and into the sights of security guard Ricky Anderson.
“When I told them to freeze, they continued to run. So I had to draw down on one of them,” he said.
Anderson saw the men run into the truck yard of his warehouse complex. He ran outside and confronted them.
“I asked them what they needed and they turned around and ran,” said Anderson. “I went outside after them. I said, ‘What can I help you with?’ And he said, 'Go, go, go.’ And that’s when I noticed all the commotion. So I drew down on them.”
He didn't stop them, but slowed them down considerably. They jumped a fence and tried to go around the building but gave up when Pearland police caught up with them.
“There was no force needed to detain these guys. They surrendered without incident, although one did fall out,” said Anderson.
With guns drawn, officers handcuffed the men. One was taken into custody immediately, but the other had to receive medical attention at the scene after a possible drug overdose.
Paramedics checked him out, then loaded him onto a stretcher.
Police checked the neighborhood where it all started and discovered a home in the 3200 block of Princess Court Bay had been burglarized. Items recovered from the minivan were linked to the burglary.
Police said a juvenile suspect was also involved. He was transported to the Brazoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Pearland Police Department, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety were involved in the chase.
Police recovered a large screen TV and several purses from the suspects' vehicle.

Houston police said the chase started shortly after 1 p.m. at Chimney Rock near Highway 90.
Johnson spoke exclusively to Channel 2 investigators Bill Spencer just minutes after his arrest.
Spencer: "What did you run from the police for? What’s the problem?"
Johnson: "I was on a parole violation run."
Spencer: "Parole violation?”
Johnson: "A run. I had cut the ankle monitor off my leg, just making a dumb decision."
Police said Johnson is a known gang member who shot a man several years ago and served time in prison. There was a probation violation warrant out for his arrest Monday morning when they spotted him driving erratically through a residential neighborhood.
Driving a red sedan, he refused to pull over and led officers on the 59 Southwest Freeway south to Spur 10 north in Fort Bend County, police said.
The driver then went eastbound on Highway 36 toward Rosenberg, then got on Highway 90.
Sky 2 aerials then showed the chase took place at high speeds southbound on 59 Southwest Freeway.
The car then went off the highway and onto a dirt road construction area, where the driver bailed out.
Johnson, wearing a black shirt and shorts, then ran across the northbound lanes of the highway and into a residential area.
He then appeared to get tired and, eventually, he laid on the ground with his arms and legs spread outside an assisted-living facility.
Officers approached, handcuffed him and took him into custody.
Johnson tells Channel 2 News that a month ago he cut the electronic monitoring device off his leg so authorities couldn't track him. When police started chasing him Monday, he knew he would be going back to jail.
"I was in jail a long time and I just wanted to be free. That's it. I was in jail four years and they put this ankle monitor on me last year and I just wanted to be free. Hang out with my friends," Johnson told KPRC 2 News.
Johnson told KPRC 2 what he did Monday was wrong and that he plans to plead guilty to evading arrest charges.
"I made a dumb decision. There isn't no excuse for it. I'm just ready to go to jail because I made a dumb decision," he said.

The driver traveled on the Beltway 8 feeder roads, making a repeated loop back and forth. At one point, the driver pulled through a gas station, and kept going. On a second pass into the same gas station, the man stopped the car, got out and laid down on the ground. He was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries or collisions have been reported. It's not yet known what charges the driver may face.

The 6 tracks on the album are all based on stories of the supernatural, and the deluxe 4 disc edition comes in the form of a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories illustrated by Hajo Mueller. In addition to the deluxe edition there will be regular CD, CD/DVDV media book, Blu-Ray and 2LP vinyl editions, with the DVDV and Blu-ray editions featuring a 5.1 mix of the album and other bonus material.
Pre-order date for the limited deluxe edition will be announced soon. The tour to promote the album starts on 1st March in Europe, and will continue throughout the rest of the year visiting many other countries, see confirmed dates on Steven's website.

On Monday 13 April they and forty other choristers left for France, Belgium and England for ANZAC Day celebrations - and a lot of fun.
