Nikon Corporation (株式会社ニコン, Kabushiki-gaisha Nikon) (UK /ˈnɪkɒn/ or US /ˈnaɪkɒn/; listen [nikoɴ]), also known just as Nikon, is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, specializing in optics and imaging products.

Its products include cameras, camera lenses, binoculars, microscopes, ophthalmic lenses, measurement instruments, and the steppers used in the photolithography steps of semiconductor fabrication, of which it is the world's second largest manufacturer. The companies held by Nikon form the Nikon Group. Founded on July 25, 1917 as Nippon Kōgaku Kōgyō Kabushikigaisha (日本光学工業株式会社 "Japan Optical Industries Co., Ltd."), the company was renamed Nikon Corporation, after its cameras, in 1988. Nikon is one of the subsidiaries of Mitsubishi.

My "ULTIMATE" Nikon Full Frame Lens Kit I own a lot of NIKON lenses and wanted to share with you what I think makes up My "ULTIMATE" full frame lens kit. Whether your own the Nikon D5, D4s, D4, D3s, Df, D810, D800, D750 or D610 these are the lenses I think make up the Ultimate Nikon Lens Kit. If I was to travel the world and could only take a handful of lenses I would take the Hebrew Trinity plus one. Nikon 14-24 2.8 Nikon 24-70 2.8 VR Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR II Nikon 300 F4 PF With these three lenses I could shoot anything anywhere at any time. If I needed to do video or stills I would be covered from 14-300mm. But if I could take more lenses I would add the Nikon 105 F1.4 which is an absolutely INSANE piece of glass. That is not saying that one is better it's simply saying Nikon has updated their lineup more recently than Canon. Keep in mind this is a never ending cycle that one company will have newer cameras before the other. The way I look at it is the D850 is a solid wedding, portrait, landscape, nature and even sports camera though the files are super huge. It's a well rounded camera that gives you amazing still and video capabilities. On the flip side the D5 is a flat out beast of a camera from build quality to speed to low light shooting. I love it for concerts, sports, portraits and pretty much anything I want to shoot. I do have access to both cameras but my go to is the Nikon D5. But a lot of this comes down to money. Can you afford to drop double the price of a D850 on a D5? At the end of the day you will not go wrong with either of the bodies.
