Mahāvīra (Sanskrit: महावीर "Great Hero", Kannada: ಮಹಾವೀರ Mahāvīra, Malayalam: മഹാവീരൻ Mahāvīran and Tamil: அருகன் Arukaṉ) is the name most commonly used to refer to the Indian sage Vardhamāna (Sanskrit: वर्धमान; traditionally 599–527 BCE) who established what are today considered to be the central tenets of Jainism. According to Jain tradition, he was the 24th and the last Tirthankara. In Tamil, he is referred to as Arukaṉ or Arukadevan. He is also known in texts as Vira or Viraprabhu, Sanmati, Ativira,and Gnatputra. In the Buddhist Pali Canon, he is referred to as Nigantha Nātaputta and Gyatra Putta.
In a place called Kundalagrama (Vaishali district) situated close to Besadha Patti, 27 miles from Patna in modern day Bihar, India, Mahavira was born in a royal family to King Siddartha and Queen Trishala on the 13th day under the rising moon of Chaitra (12 April according to the Gregorian calendar). While still in his mother's womb it is believed he brought wealth and prosperity to the entire kingdom, which is why he was named Vardhaman. An increase of all good things, like the abundant bloom of beautiful flowers, was noticed in the kingdom after his conception. Trishala had a number of auspicious dreams before giving birth to Vardhaman (14 according to the Svetambaras and 16 according to the Digambaras), signs foretelling the advent of a great soul.He found "Nirvana" at the age of 72 in 527 BC near Rajgir, Bihar .Vardhaman's birthday is celebrated as Mahavir Jayanti, the most important religious holiday of Jains around the world.

Salma Aghalanguage,hindi-urdu (born october 25, 1965) is a singer and actress from India who sang as well as acted in Indiafilms in the 1980s and the early 1990s.Her first film was B.R ChoprasNikaah She won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award in 1982 for the ghazal "Dil ke Armaan" in Nikaah.
Salma was grand daughter of 30's/40's famous actor and actress Jugal Kishore Mehra And Anwar Begum who played the roles of the first ever made Heer Ranjha (1932).Salma Aghas Mother Nasreen Being Born To a Star Pair Bagged the Lead with [K. L. Saigal]] in A.K KARDAR'S Shahjahan A prised role of those times(1946) and Aik roz (1947). Nasreen was known to be one of the most beautiful faces in asia. Salmas entire family was settled in London.salma studied in london and for further studies went to Switzerland where her father(Liaquat Gul Agha) had a huge business of Persian Carpets and antiques as her father was From a highly respected and reputed family from Iran, known for trading all over the world. Salmas family name from her fathers side is Tajik but the family was given the title of 'Agha' known as a Respected title in iran and only given when highly reputed in the society. (the direct transalation of 'Agha' is 'Sir') Salma Claims to be An indian since her meternal and peternal families were all born in india,though there all British Nationals.

Mahavir Jayanti, the birth anniversary of 24th and last Jain Tirthankar Bhagwan Mahavir is being celebrated across the country today.
President Pranab Mukherjee , Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the nation on the occasion.
"Greetings and good wishes on Mahavir Jayanti to all my fellow citizens and in particular, members of Jain community. Teachings of ahimsa, truth and compassion enunciated by Bhagwan Mahavira hold great significance for today's world. Let us resolve to ceaselessly strive for harmony and amity in our country and across the world on this auspicious day," the President tweeted.
In his message, Vice President Hamid Ansari said that Bhagwan Mahavir's message of truth, non-violence and compassion shows an enlightened path for happiness and progress of humanity.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he bows to the venerable Lord Mahavir, who showed the path of peace and welfare for entire humanity.

In Jainism, Mahavir Jayanti, also known as Mahavir Janma Kalyanak, is the most important religious holiday. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the last Tirthankara. On the Gregorian calendar, the holiday occurs either in March or April.
He was born on the thirteenth day of the rising moon of Chaitra. The chronology accepted by all Jains places Mahavir's birth in 599 BCE.
Birth Legend
Mahavira was born into royalty as the son of King Siddhartha and Queen Trishala. During pregnancy, Trishala was believed to have had a number of auspicious dreams, all signifying the coming of a great leader. The exact number of dreams differs according to the school of Jainism; Svetambaras generally believe that the actual number is fourteen while Digambaras claim sixteen instead. Regardless, the astrologers that interpreted these dreams claimed that the child would become either an emperor or a Tirthankar. It is said that when Trishala finally gave birth to Mahavira, the god-king Indra bathed the newborn himself with celestial milk, a ritual essentially marking him as a Tirthankar.
Celebrations
Local statues of Mahavira are given a ceremonial bath called the abhisheka. During the day, many Jains engage in some sort of charitable act in the name of Mahavira while others travel to temples to meditate and offer prayers. Lectures are typically held in temples to preach the path of virtue as defined by Jain doctrine. Donations are collected in order to promote charitable missions like saving cows from slaughter or helping to feed poor people. Ancient Jain temples across India typically see an extremely high volume of practitioners come to pay their respects and join in the celebrations

President Pranab Mukherjee , Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the nation on the occasion.
"Greetings and good wishes on Mahavir Jayanti to all my fellow citizens and in particular, members of Jain community. Teachings of ahimsa, truth and compassion enunciated by Bhagwan Mahavira hold great significance for today's world. Let us resolve to ceaselessly strive for harmony and amity in our country and across the world on this auspicious day," the President tweeted.
In his message, Vice President Hamid Ansari said that Bhagwan Mahavir's message of truth, non-violence and compassion shows an enlightened path for happiness and progress of humanity.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he bows to the venerable Lord Mahavir, who showed the path of peace and welfare for entire humanity.

In Jainism, Mahavir Jayanti, also known as Mahavir Janma Kalyanak, is the most important religious holiday. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the last Tirthankara. On the Gregorian calendar, the holiday occurs either in March or April.
He was born on the thirteenth day of the rising moon of Chaitra. The chronology accepted by all Jains places Mahavir's birth in 599 BCE.
Birth Legend
Mahavira was born into royalty as the son of King Siddhartha and Queen Trishala. During pregnancy, Trishala was believed to have had a number of auspicious dreams, all signifying the coming of a great leader. The exact number of dreams differs according to the school of Jainism; Svetambaras generally believe that the actual number is fourteen while Digambaras claim sixteen instead. Regardless, the astrologers that interpreted these dreams claimed that the child would become either an emperor or a Tirthankar. It is said that when Trishala finally gave birth to Mahavira, the god-king Indra bathed the newborn himself with celestial milk, a ritual essentially marking him as a Tirthankar.
Celebrations
Local statues of Mahavira are given a ceremonial bath called the abhisheka. During the day, many Jains engage in some sort of charitable act in the name of Mahavira while others travel to temples to meditate and offer prayers. Lectures are typically held in temples to preach the path of virtue as defined by Jain doctrine. Donations are collected in order to promote charitable missions like saving cows from slaughter or helping to feed poor people. Ancient Jain temples across India typically see an extremely high volume of practitioners come to pay their respects and join in the celebrations

The film opens with Narayana (Prabhu) and his son escaping from a gangster (Abhimanyu Singh) who intend to kill them. The film then shifts to 2001 where a young boy named White, an orphan entering the Ongole market. He manages to catch the attention of many people including the chairman of the market, Adikeshavulu (Prakash Raj) who is god to the people of the market, with his tactical ways of business and establishes him as a Businessman there. Years later, White (Ram Pothineni), still a leading merchant in the market is the owner of four shops. On the innaugrational event of his of his fouth shop, he meets Sandhya a.k.a Sandy (Kriti Kharbanda), Adikeshavulu's daughter and falls for her. The MLA (Ahuti Prasad) wants to buy the market so he can shift it to a land on the outskirts of the city. During this it is also revealed that Adikeshavulu is not a good man but is pretending to be a good one. Whenever he returns home after difficultly pretending to be a good person he stands in front of the mirror and removes all of his clothes. Out of anger for Adikeshavulu not giving him the market, The MLA makes White the chairman of the market. Adikeshavulu beats the MLA to a pulp and makes him announce Adikeshavulu the chairman. When the White agrees on the condition that Adikeshavulu's daughter must marry him. Out of greed for the market, Adikeshavulu agrees and gets White and Sandy engaged. On the night after their engagement, White goes to Sandy's house to meet her. But she escapes from him and reaches outside the house with her grandmother and mother and complains on White. Just then, Adikeshavulu comes in drunk but controlled but White understands and goes away but his father-like business partner in a drunk mode reveals that White has a father who lives in Tripura. Adikeshavulu uses this information and sends his man Durga (Abhimanyu Singh) to find White's father. But at Tripura, Durga bumps into White while trying to kill an old enemy. It is now revealed that the 'old enemy' (Prabhu) is White's father. White's partner finds out and blames White of being the son of the person who murdered his family. It is now that White reveals his past. Years back, Narayana used to be the chairman of the Ongole market. Adikeshavulu was the brother of another man (Jaya Prakash Reddy), who envied Narayana and wanted his post. The man commits suicide as he could not get the post and taking pity, Narayana appoints Adikeshavulu his man and the market continues to prosper with Adikeshavulu pretending to be good. One day, Adikeshavulu starts collecting money from the sellers as the funds for building shelter and giving food for the sellers were insufficient. Narayana comes there, stops Adikeshavulu and tells him that he will give the money. Another man in the market who envies Narayana blames him of acting in front of the people and accuses him of telling Adikeshavulu to collect the money. But nobody believes him and continue to trust Adikeshavulu. The forthcoming will form the crux of the story.

He was born on the thirteenth day of the rising moon of Chaitra. The chronology accepted by all Jains places Mahavir's birth in 599 BCE.
Birth Legend
Mahavira was born into royalty as the son of King Siddhartha and Queen Trishala. During pregnancy, Trishala was believed to have had a number of auspicious dreams, all signifying the coming of a great leader. The exact number of dreams differs according to the school of Jainism; Svetambaras generally believe that the actual number is fourteen while Digambaras claim sixteen instead. Regardless, the astrologers that interpreted these dreams claimed that the child would become either an emperor or a Tirthankar. It is said that when Trishala finally gave birth to Mahavira, the god-king Indra bathed the newborn himself with celestial milk, a ritual essentially marking him as a Tirthankar.
Celebrations
Local statues of Mahavira are given a ceremonial bath called the abhisheka. During the day, many Jains engage in some sort of charitable act in the name of Mahavira while others travel to temples to meditate and offer prayers. Lectures are typically held in temples to preach the path of virtue as defined by Jain doctrine. Donations are collected in order to promote charitable missions like saving cows from slaughter or helping to feed poor people. Ancient Jain temples across India typically see an extremely high volume of practitioners come to pay their respects and join in the celebrations

President Pranab Mukherjee , Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the nation on the occasion.
"Greetings and good wishes on Mahavir Jayanti to all my fellow citizens and in particular, members of Jain community. Teachings of ahimsa, truth and compassion enunciated by Bhagwan Mahavira hold great significance for today's world. Let us resolve to ceaselessly strive for harmony and amity in our country and across the world on this auspicious day," the President tweeted.
In his message, Vice President Hamid Ansari said that Bhagwan Mahavir's message of truth, non-violence and compassion shows an enlightened path for happiness and progress of humanity.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he bows to the venerable Lord Mahavir, who showed the path of peace and welfare for entire humanity.
