At the Point

At the Point is a live album by Matt Nathanson, released in April 2006. The title refers to The Point, the venue where Nathanson recorded the album over the course of four sold-out shows during the summer of 2005.

The point (ice hockey)

The point is a term in ice hockey to indicate a position inside the opposition's blue line along the edges of the rink.

Description

A player in the opponent's end zone at the junction of the blue line with the boards is said to be at the point. Usually the players at the two points are the defencemen. On the power play the players playing at these positions are always known as the points, though one of the positions is sometimes played by a forward.

The point's responsibilities include attempting to keep the puck in the offensive zone when the defensive team attempts to clear (see also Offside (ice hockey)), receiving a pass from the forwards to allow the play to reset, and taking slapshots at the goal, hoping to score, create a rebound or a deflection. On the power play, one of the players playing the point is typically the "quarterback" - that is, the one who controls (through passing) where the puck goes, and also takes lots of shots.

Given the difficulty of scoring directly from the point due to the distance to the goal, goals scored from the point are typically either on screens, or are tipped goals.

Action Bronson

Arian Asllani (born December 2, 1983), better known by the stage name Action Bronson, is an American rapper and former chef. In August 2012, he signed to Warner Bros. Records, but was later moved to Atlantic Records' imprint, Vice Records.

Bronson has released several mixtapes, such as Rare Chandeliers (2012), with American hip hop producer The Alchemist and Blue Chips 2 (2013), with longtime producer Party Supplies, before releasing his major label debut, an extended play (EP) titled Saaab Stories, with frequent collaborator Harry Fraud, in 2013. He released his major label debut album, Mr. Wonderful, on March 23, 2015.

Biography

1983–2010: Early life and career beginnings

Bronson was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, the son of a Muslim Albanian immigrant father and a Jewish New Yorker mother. Before embarking on a career as a rapper, which was originally just a hobby, Bronson was a respected fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City. He hosted his own online cooking show titled Action in the Kitchen. After breaking his leg in the kitchen, Bronson concentrated solely on his music career.

Party Supplies are an American record production and songwriting team, composed of Justin Nealis and Sean Mahon. On August 27, 2013, Justin Nealis and Sean Mahon released their first album as a group, titled Tough Love, on Fool's Gold Records.Rolling Stone rated Tough Love as the 13th best dance album of 2013 and described the album as being "dance music for introverts."
