After a bunch of running around to find some cubes, and getting lost one last time, we start the final trek into the end game.
"After weeks of unexplained murders, the ominous unknown killer is still on the rise. After little evidence has been found, a young boy states that he survived one of the killer's attacks and bravely tells his story.
"I had a bad dream and I woke up in the middle of the night," says the boy, "I saw that for some reason the window was open, even though I remember it being closed before I went to bed. I got up and shut it once more. Afterwards, I simply crawled under my covers and tried to get back to sleep. That's when I had a strange feeling, like someone was watching me. I looked up, and nearly jumped out of my bed. There, in the little ray of light, illuminating from between my curtains, were a pair of two eyes. These weren't regular eyes; they were dark, ominous eyes. They were bordered in black and... just plain out terrified me. That's when I saw his mouth. A long, horrendous smile that made every hair on my body stand up. The figure stood there, watching me. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he said it. A simple phrase, but said in a way only a mad man could speak.
"He said, 'Go To Sleep.' I let out a scream, that's what sent him at me. He pulled up a knife; aiming at my heart. He jumped on top of my bed. I fought him back; I kicked, I punched, I rolled around, trying to knock him off me. That's when my dad busted in. The man threw the knife, it went into my dad's shoulder. The man probably would've finished him off, if one of the neighbors hadn't alerted the police."

Motek welcomes German duo Slow Hearts for their first EP on the label. Following the single "Skyfall" on Motek VA "Out Of The Shadows", the boys have delivered an exciting and eclectic 2 track EP. Firstly "Juno" is a Techno/Deep cross full of driving elements from bass through to percussion, providing the tracks identity. Off this, airy pads, bouncy lead lines and a variety of quirky, bold effect and synth additions create the story in the piece. The second production in this EP "Ceres" takes on an entirely different feel, moving into the world of electronica. Ceres keeps a slow four to the floor kick drum but is given a faster 6/8 feel. These 2 rhythmic elements work beautifully together to bring interest and intrigue throughout the different sections of the track. Remixing for this release are Death on the Balcony and Ominous. Death on the Balcony have created a straight down groove based remix of Juno. Punchy bass and percussive elements over a strong kick drive the track, growing with string pads and vocal effects which explore the spaces left. Ominous have put their take on Ceres, moving it into a faster space with many quick elements including open and washy drum parts alongside pulsing synth sections. This has given the track a peak time option whilst subtly keeping the identity of the original.

Motek welcomes German duo Slow Hearts for their first EP on the label. Following the single "Skyfall" on Motek VA "Out Of The Shadows", the boys have delivered an exciting and eclectic 2 track EP. Firstly "Juno" is a Techno/Deep cross full of driving elements from bass through to percussion, providing the tracks identity. Off this, airy pads, bouncy lead lines and a variety of quirky, bold effect and synth additions create the story in the piece. The second production in this EP "Ceres" takes on an entirely different feel, moving into the world of electronica. Ceres keeps a slow four to the floor kick drum but is given a faster 6/8 feel. These 2 rhythmic elements work beautifully together to bring interest and intrigue throughout the different sections of the track. Remixing for this release are Death on the Balcony and Ominous. Death on the Balcony have created a straight down groove based remix of Juno. Punchy bass and percussive elements over a strong kick drive the track, growing with string pads and vocal effects which explore the spaces left. Ominous have put their take on Ceres, moving it into a faster space with many quick elements including open and washy drum parts alongside pulsing synth sections. This has given the track a peak time option whilst subtly keeping the identity of the original.

I fought him back; I kicked, I punched, I rolled around, trying to knock him off me. That's when my dad busted in. The man threw the knife, it went into my dad's shoulder. The man probably would've finished him off, if one of the neighbors hadn't alerted the police."

Motek welcomes German duo Slow Hearts for their first EP on the label. Following the single "Skyfall" on Motek VA "Out Of The Shadows", the boys have delivered an exciting and eclectic 2 track EP. Firstly "Juno" is a Techno/Deep cross full of driving elements from bass through to percussion, providing the tracks identity. Off this, airy pads, bouncy lead lines and a variety of quirky, bold effect and synth additions create the story in the piece. The second production in this EP "Ceres" takes on an entirely different feel, moving into the world of electronica. Ceres keeps a slow four to the floor kick drum but is given a faster 6/8 feel. These 2 rhythmic elements work beautifully together to bring interest and intrigue throughout the different sections of the track. Remixing for this release are Death on the Balcony and Ominous. Death on the Balcony have created a straight down groove based remix of Juno. Punchy bass and percussive elements over a strong kick drive the track, growing with string pads and vocal effects which explore the spaces left. Ominous have put their take on Ceres, moving it into a faster space with many quick elements including open and washy drum parts alongside pulsing synth sections. This has given the track a peak time option whilst subtly keeping the identity of the original.

After weeks of unexplained murders, the ominous unknown killer is still on the rise. After little evidence has been found, a young boy states that he survived one of the killer’s attacks and bravely tells his story.
“I had a bad dream and I woke up in the middle of the night,” says the boy, “I saw that for some reason the window was open, even though I remember it being closed before I went to bed. I got up and shut it once more. Afterwards, I simply crawled under my covers and tried to get back to sleep. That’s when I had a strange feeling, like someone was watching me. I looked up, and nearly jumped out of my bed. There, in the little ray of light, illuminating from between my curtains, were a pair of two eyes. These weren’t regular eyes; they were dark, ominous eyes. They were bordered in black and… just plain out terrified me. That’s when I saw his mouth. A long, horrendous smile that made every hair on my body stand up. The figure stood there, watching me. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he said it. A simple phrase, but said in a way only a mad man could speak.
“He said, ‘Go To Sleep.’ I let out a scream, that’s what sent him at me. He pulled up a knife; aiming at my heart. He jumped on top of my bed. I fought him back; I kicked, I punched, I rolled around, trying to knock him off me. That’s when my dad busted in. The man threw the knife, it went into my dad’s shoulder. The man probably would’ve finished him off, if one of the neighbors hadn’t alerted the police.
“They drove into the parking lot, and ran towards the door. The man turned and ran down the hallway. I heard a smash, like glass breaking. As I came out of my room, I saw the window that was pointing towards the back of my house was broken. I looked out it to see him vanish into the distance. I can tell you one thing, I will never forget that face. Those cold, evil eyes, and that psychotic smile. They will never leave my head.”

The Demonstration is the second full-length LP by Drab Majesty, released on Dais Records in January 2017. The album is inspired by 80s new wave and the infamous "Heaven's Gate" alien space cult of the late 90s. Join us as we enter the next level of human evolution... I'll see you in due time.

"Drab Majesty is the solo project of Deb DeMure, the androgynous alter-ego of L.A.-based musician Andrew Clinco. With its combination of reverb-drenched guitars, synth bass lines, commanding vocals, and rhythmic drum machine beats, this project is a stark departure from Clinco’s previous stints as drummer in Marriages and Black Mare. Dubbed “Tragic Wave” and “Mid-Fi” by DeMure, Drab Majesty eloquently blends classic 80s New Wave and hints of early 4AD with a futuristic originality.
Drab Majesty’s first release, a limited-edition cassette of 100 copies titled Unarian Dances, was self-released in 2012 and re-pressed by Lolipop Records shortly thereafter. Drab Majesty then signed with Dais Records and put out the debut LP Careless in 2015. Careless was met with high praise from critics and fans alike, and the original pressing is now a sought-after gem. A year after the initial pressings of Careless sold out, Dais released a compilation titled Completely Careless, featuring Drab Majesty’s entire discography, including two previously unreleased tracks. In 2016, Drab Majesty added a live member to the band named Mona D. In January 2017, they released their second LP entitled The Demonstration on Dais Records.
A talented multi-instrumentalist, DeMure composes all of the elements of Drab Majesty (not including Mona D's recent contributions). However, rather than taking personal credit for the music, DeMure insists that the inspiration for the songs is received from an other-worldly source and that Deb is merely a vessel through which outside ideas flow inward. But Drab Majesty is more than just a musical project — it’s a methodical experiment in the identity of creativity. The character Deb DeMure is an enigma that eludes all expectations of gender and ego. When DeMure’s imposing 6’ 4” figure assumes the stage, Deb’s playful, harlequinesque appearance, tempered by an ominous body language, and clashing with the dreamy, ethereal melodies comes across as a web of contrasts. The result is a perfect balance between seemingly conflicting messages, between the high and the low, the drab and the divine." - Dais Records
