Choir master: James Thomas
For over 1,000 years, the site of Suffolk 's Cathedral has been one of worship and pilgrimage. The death of Edmund, King of the East Angles, at the hands of the Danes in 869 led to the building of an abbey to house his remains. St James's Church was built within the precincts of the Abbey, becoming a Cathedral in 1914.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral Choir is a voluntary organisation working to the highest standards to provide music for the worship in St Edmundsbury Cathedral, the mother church of the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich in the county of Suffolk. Ours is a fairly young cathedral (the diocese was created in 1914): thus there is no cathedral choir school -- the boys attend many different local primary and middle schools, and some travel considerable distances each day to attend.
The full choir of 22 boys and 10 men sings four services a week, while the boys sing an extra one each week on their own and rehearse most mornings before school. On top of this considerable commitment, the Cathedral Choir also provides music for special civic and diocesan events, termly visits to parishes in the diocese, and occasional concerts.

For All the Saints
"For All the Saints" was written as a processional hymn by the Anglican Bishop of Wakefield, William Walsham How. The hymn was first printed in Hymns for Saints' Days, and Other Hymns, by Earl Nelson, 1864.
Tune
The hymn was sung to the melody Sarum, by the Victorian composer Joseph Barnby, until the publication of the English Hymnal in 1906. This hymnal used a new setting by Ralph Vaughan Williams which he called Sine Nomine (literally, "without name") in reference to its use on the Feast of All Saints, 1 November (or the first Sunday in November, All Saints Sunday in the Lutheran Church). It has been described as "one of the finest hymn tunes of [the 20th] century."
Although most English hymn tunes of its era are written for singing in SATB four-part harmony, Sine Nomine is primarily unison (verses 1,2,3,7 and 8) with organ accompaniment; three verses (4, 5 and 6) are set in sung harmony. The tune appears in this forms in most English hymnbooks (for example English Hymnal (641), New English Hymnal (197), Common Praise (232)) and American hymnals (for example, The Hymnal 1982 and the Lutheran Service Book (677)).

St Edmundsbury
St Edmundsbury is a local government district and borough in Suffolk, England. It is named after its main town, Bury St Edmunds. The second town in the district is Haverhill.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 (with the abolition of West Suffolk) by the merger of the Borough of Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill Urban District, Clare Rural District and Thingoe Rural District.
Until March 2009 its main offices were in Bury St Edmunds (Angel Hill and Western Way). Thereafter a purpose built complex, West Suffolk House housed both St Edmundsbury and Suffolk County Council staff.
In 2008 the Council submitted a proposal to the Boundary Commission which would see it as central to a new West Suffolk unitary council. Despite the considerable energies used to promote this concept the proposal was rejected and no unitary scheme for Suffolk was adopted. (For more details see also Suffolk.)
In October 2011 St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Forest Heath District Council agreed to have one chief executive, a shared management team and a combined workforce, creating initial savings of more than £2million.

Saint
A saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, or likeness to God. While the English term "saint" originated in Christianity, historians of religion now use the appellation "in a more general way to refer to the state of special holiness that many religions attribute to certain people," with the Jewish Tzadik, the Islamic Mu'min, the Hindu rishi or Sikh guru, and the Buddhist arhat or bodhisattva also being referred to as "saints". Depending on the religion, saints are recognized either by official ecclesiastical declaration/denomination or by popular acclamation (see folk saints).
In Christianity, "saint" has a wide variety of meanings, depending on the context and denomination. The original Christian denotation was any believer who is "in Christ" and in whom Christ dwells, whether in Heaven or on earth. In Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic doctrine, all of their faithful deceased in Heaven are considered to be saints, but some are considered worthy of greater honor, emulation, or veneration, with official ecclesiastical recognition given to some saints by canonization or glorification.

The death of Edmund, King of the East Angles, at the hands of the Danes in 869 led to the building of an abbey to house his remains. St James's Church was built within the precincts of the Abbey, becoming a Cathedral in 1914.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral Choir is a voluntary organisation working to the highest standards to provide music for the worship in St Edmundsbury Cathedral, the mother church of the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich in the county of Suffolk. Ours is a fairly young cathedral (the diocese was created in 1914): thus there is no cathedral choir school -- the boys attend many different local primary and middle schools, and some travel considerable distances each day to attend.
The full choir of 22 boys and 10 men sings four services a week, while the boys sing an extra one each week on their own and rehearse most mornings before school. On top of this considerable commitment, the Cathedral Choir also provides music for special civic and diocesan events, termly visits to parishes in the diocese, and occasional concerts.

"Oscar Newley has perfected a new fuel injection system for his racing car and approaches the Saint for financial backing. However the car breaks down during a race and he believes that it has been sabotaged by Ellington, a rival owner-driver. Suspicions are compounded when Oscar is nearly killed in a fire at his workshop and the car is again sabotaged. The chief culprit would seem to be Oscar's driver Alec but then he is murdered. The Saint must race to find the perpetrator in every sense."
An ominous beginning, a villainous middle with a happy ending.
The 1964 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch was used as the back drop for this episode of The Saint, which was already into it's fourth season by 1965.
Did Jack Brabham know he was in this show? He can be seen at 9:41 in his #5 Brabham-Climax pulling out into the pit lane having a look at Dan Gurney's #6 car (also a Brabham-Climax). Also spotted is John Surtees in his #7 Ferrari.
Tim & I are old enough to remember when this show was Prime Time television. That's cool! To tell the truth, we were probably a bit too young to watch it at the time but got to know it better when the reruns started in the '70s.
Roger Moore is perfect in the role and for some unknown reason, in this episode, Simon Templar drives a Bentley instead of his trademark Volvo 1800.
In the real (1964) race, Jim Clark came first, with Graham Hill second. Note at the end, the TV show cars had to be #1 and #3 to match the Clark and Hill footage.

I am not exactly sure what are requirements for Angel of Death:Part 2 even after completing it. Here is what I think I've done. Killed every saint and merc wearing ONLY black 47 suit (there has been reports that wearing robe is ok too) . The whole level must be done without restarting ANY checkpoints. If you get spotted restart the whole level. Once again, I am guessing here. I've killed everyone but one person using fiber wire (not sure if that has something to do with this but doubt it) Please comment regarding your experiences.
So far (this is unconfirmed by me and is a compilation of what has been reported to work)
- level has to be completed in one sitting from start to finish without any check point restarts without being spotted.
- can use any disguise you want
- all saints must be killed with accidents or fiber wire
- civilians can be spared or killed
- evidence has no baring on this
- can NOT use explosives for any of the kills
just FYI I've completed the level guns blazing without any restarts while being spotted and using disguises. challenge stayed locked.
I give thanks to everyone who has participated in trying to figure this challenge out. RulezMac was the one that helped to make it happen the most for me.
Personally I think Angel of Death 2 does not belong in this game. The most out of character to Silent Assassin challenge ever.

Dos músicos nacidos en Ytororó, una localidad situada a unos 14 kilómetros de Asunción, están listos para dar un show más con Forbidden Saints, una banda de new age conformada por artistas de varias nacionalidades. El grupo ahora se presentará en Paraguay y busca que este sea el primero de los muchos conciertos en tierra guaraní.
Llegaron hace unos días. Están ilusionados, la sonrisa los delata. Antes de pisar la capital paraguaya, tocaron en California, Europa del Este y Asia. Hoy, la motivación es otra: conquistar al público paraguayo con el sonido de Forbidden Saints.
La banda, nació hace dos años en Miami, con dos paraguayos los hermanos Víctor y Fito Espínola- y un cubano, quienes anteriormente integraban el grupo "Payé". Hoy por hoy, Forbidden Saints tiene 12 músicos provenientes de varios países del mundo, entre ellos Rusia, Armenia, México, Puerto Rico, Perú, y Venezuela.

¿dónde viene el nombre? "Estábamos haciendo una reunión cuando éramos solteros. Y estaban unas chicas que nos conocían bien. Estaban hablando y la gente nos conoce por tocar música clásica entonces decían estos muchachos son unos santos. Entonces decían estas chicas: sí, son unos santos, todo lo que hacen es prohibido", explica Víctor Espínola entre risas.
"Es un sonido de Payé con un sonido más sinfónico. Usamos mucha orquestación", dice el compatriota durante una visita a ABC Color. Acompañado de su hermano Fito y el violinista del grupo, Víctor también tiene ganas de hablar de su pasado.
Aún recuerda que a sus 16 años con arpa en mano, VIAJÓ Israel en busca de un mejor horizonte. "Tuve como un gusanito que me decía que se podían hacer muchas cosas más con el arpa. Y empecé a experimentar con la música. Primero empecé tocando salsa, después fui para el jazz, experimenté con el new age", menciona.
Forbidden Saints se presentará en el Banco Central del Paraguay el 24, 25 y 26 de noviembre. "Estamos preparando cosas especiales para el público. Unos temas paraguayos. Mucha música paraguaya estilizada a lo Forbidden Saints. Es música compuesta por nosotros también. En el grupo, como es internacional tenemos diversidad entonces agarramos un poquito de los países que tenemos y los estilos", menciona Víctor.

On one side you have seas filled with swimming Cadillac’s with razors for teeth, the other is barren land full of jackals and the last of the tribesman, the cities are over flowing and the mentality is full-on scrum. But from this rugby crazy and lager fueled country comes some of the fiercest bar bands to ever blaze a path across the global strata. AC/DC, Midnight Oil, Rose Tattoo, The Saints and Nick Cave all cut their teeth on Perth and Sydney outlier pubs with the harshest critics armed with beer bottles and cycle chains if the set wasn’t up to snuff. It’s mean, it’s nasty, it’s a blood sport, but it’s also the breeding ground to make you bullet proof. And if history is any indication then Melbourne’s The Ugly Kings are Kevlar-coated and ready for incoming.
Their latest album may sound familiar from the instant the needle is dropped since it’s a healthy dose of all those great Aussie assets: thick, groove induced chords, deep baritone vocals and a “harden the fuck up” ethos. However its not the bronzed sound that draws upon your skull, it’s the Lodi, New Jersey most famed son that seems to be a ghost upon these recordings, Glen Danzig. Of Sins oozes the rattlesnake desert shake of Danzig’s “creepy crawl” metal blues. But not ones to jump someone else’s train, The Ugly Kings tip their hats to Mr. Cave, Duane Eddy, Morphine and others who’ve succeeded at dwelling on the dark side of men’s souls, albeit with their own unique twists. Certainly sinister and stark, Of Sins is full of bounce and verve as well especially on the title track and “Wicked Witch Of Wonder” with vocalist “Rusty” summoning the deep belly blues of the Southern States whilst wrestling with a libertine. The initial track off Of Sins “Control Freak” is a metallic gem; full of slinky guitar lines and a full throated “ I ain’t nobody’s master” pronouncement that lurches into the bar for one last round.
Opener “Devil Heart” is the type of track that the Bad Seeds would solicit to David Lynch for his latest head-fuck cinematic art piece but with the kind of groove that sold Zeppelin a billion albums. If all sins are created equal than it’s the track “Goodbye” featuring female vocalist Pierina O’Brien that digs the band its deepest hole as the root cause of all of man’s ruin. O’Brien takes center stage spitting venom evoking the Medusa syndrome, where man is turned to stone before her eyes. Never, ever give a woman a microphone especially when she looks like that. “Out Of Time” bounces back and forth from Mississippi porch paean to bonfire séance leading one to believe how easy it was for Robert Johnson to sell his soul because the Devil, well he likes to dance too. The Ugly Kings may hail from Down Under but their souls and sound dwells much deeper where good men have been cast for their unfortunate decisions. Of Sins plays out like an evening of bad turns one drink too many and if it wasn’t so damn enticing I’d say “best set it afire and wash your hands of the whole affair”, but you won’t. You see, men for all their good intent are acutely tuned into their “dark journey” and Of Sins helps set the roadmap.

The deepest mystery of existence is the haunting question, why does anything exist? Anything of any kind, anywhere. Lump together everything that exists and might exist—physical, mental, platonic, spiritual, God, other nonphysical. Physical: include all matter, energy, space and time, and all the laws and principles that govern them (known and unknown). Mental: imagine all kinds of consciousness and awareness (known and unknown). Platonic: gather all forms of abstract objects (numbers, logic, forms, propositions, possibilities—known and unknown). Spiritual / God: embrace anything that could possibly fit these nonphysical categories (if anything does). Other nonphysical: let's leave nothing unclassified. Lump together literally everything contained in ultimate reality. Now call it all "Something." Why is there "Something" rather than "Nothing?"
I explore a wide variety of solutions to what must be the ultimate mystery. Some answers are philosophical, some are theological or religious, while others come from physics and cosmology—fields in which debate on the deep origin of all reality continues to rage. I present five possible "solutions" to the "Why-is-there-Something-rather-than-Nothing" puzzle: (i) a blank is absurd; (ii) no explanation needed; (iii) chance; (iv) value/perfection as ultimate; and (v) mind/consciousness as ultimate.
Did the universe, or multiverse, begin with a quantum-fluctuation big bang or in the creative consciousness of a divine designer? Or did the universe, or multiverse, always exist as a purely physical world or as the expression of a primordial cosmic consciousness? I show the many diverse paths the human imagination and human ingenuity have followed when confronted by this most baffling of all enigmas.
