2016 Gravely Tractor Club of America Mow In Walk Around Part 1 Point Pleasant WV

In the not to distant future I will be adding photo voltaic solar panels to our home. Since we live in a vary wooded area, love our trees, hate to kill anything (but gypsy moths n black ants), it truly pains my wife n I to cut trees down.
All the above being a reality, it seems a solar tracker as seen at http://youtube.com/watch?v=ayjVNouuIqQ or http://youtube.com/watch?v=6j46qfuK72I or http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ArPZA1uRZ8&feature;=related will be the best approach (bang for the buck / watt).
So this tree U C in this vid is the first of 8 that need to go. With out using a tracker I would need to remove lots more trees that 8. Trees that also shade our roof and Winter Garden room's south facing windows from the summer sun, thus need more solar panels to compensate for the extra air condition needed because of cutting down the shade trees...................

Gravely 5865 Rusty Quick Hitch Fun - Trying to remove a snow plow that was permanently rusted on this quick hitch when I got this machine last fall. Ouch :( I can't get it off, it will need a new Quick hitch pin since I hammered that to death , lol.... if anyone has any ideas on how to remove the pin from the plow mount let me know. Thanks

Gravely barrel train pulled by a John Deere LX 280. 4 Gravely sulkies modified and fitted with barrels to safely carry small riders. Looks like fun, right? The kids sure did have a blast. The expandability of this train is endless, maybe I will ask Dad if he wants to ad another 4 or 5 sulkies to his collection.
My father did all the engineering himself - he fitted each sulky with a long piece of angle iron and attached each one with a bolt and locking nut. Sounds simple but he worked on it for quite a while to get the weight distribution & balance correct.
He dedicated the Gravely barrel train to the grandchildren.

From the top of a 6km climb up Telegraph valley is this excellent descent. A mixture of wide open rolling grassy fun into the Snowdon Ranger path for some loose gravely turns.
Shot on GoProHD2 with the red light flashing and pointed a bit too far down.

Thanks to Joe and Mindy for their warm hospitality. Christine and I took Devon & Carter out to hang out on the Kelly's property this August long weekend. The kids had a really great time as Joe introduced them to the Gravely zero steer lawn tractor. We all had a great time hanging in the sun. The Oil & Gas time was awesome, and Christine thanks you again for the care package from your Garden.
Fun times to remember for years to come! Cheers!

A short video about my motorcycle trip in Northern Thailand, and some of the landscape, food, culture and old friends encountered along the way. A full accompanying article to the video below: Northern Thailand has a staggering 59 National parks, all flush with green forests , murky rivers, a diverse array of wildlife and the tallest mountains in the country. Yet for many travellers, Chang Mai - the gateway to the north - is quite often where the buck stops. Indeed, it's all too easy to get sucked into the enjoyable vortex of tourism in the scenic, fortified town ; lively backpacker bars, organised 'treks' and the sheer hedonism of a nightlife catered to the taste of tourists. While it can undoubtedly be a lot of fun, there comes a point where it can all feel a bit, well, 'soulless'. The best way to escape? Two wheels, no windows to confine the senses, and hitting the, at times very bumpy, open road. Thus I found myself rising at dawn, taking the helm of a Honda CBR; with only a rucksack full of clothes, food rations and the task of navigating the twists and gravely turns of the hilltop towns of Samoeng , Mae Rim - and eventually revving my way towards the mountains of Doi Tung and Chiang Kham. The slight nervousness of being a relatively inexperienced biker was lulled by adrenaline , south-east asian lawlessness ('you no need licence here!') and the will to soak up the landscape, people and culture of the lesser known towns and villages that lay dotted amongst the national parks. From the quest for 'freedom' in Easy Rider to the motorcycle being the go-to vehicle for unfulfilled middle- aged men, the idea of escaping life and embracing liberty on two wheels has been well documented to the point of becoming a dreamy fallacy. But cliches certainly exist for a reason , and with the wind flinching your face as you rumble up and between the evergreen Northern Thai mountains ,theres no denying the sense of freedom that comes with a two-wheeled voyage amidst an ethereal part of the planet. In earlier teenage travels and backpacking trips, I was the atypical young, exploratory traveller struck with wanderlust; a copy of On The Road in hand, a passing interest in Buddhism and a will to keep exploring the ups, downs and thrilling uncertainties of a nomadic lifestyle. Age, a dose of realism, and, probably most of all, 'maturity' weaned most of these sentiments away. However, I've never quite lost the belief that travelling almost always inspires revelations, new perspectives and enriches the self. In Hindi, these journeys - where the voyager embarks on a pilgrimage in search of 'something' - are known as ''Yatras''. In my mind, the motorcycle, can quite literally be a very fast way to embark on your very own ''Yatra''. Especially amidst the backdrop of the flush Northern Thai mountainscape. -

Gail Janiak and her husband, Tim, had just returned from their annual “March Madness” vacation to the NCAA Basketball Tournament, when she became gravely ill. Within 36 hours of arriving home, Gail was fighting for her life in the St. Vincent Healthcare Intensive Care Unit. She had contracted a very rare bacterial infection. While Gail received round-the-clock care from the specialized medical team at SVH, her family made her hospital room their home away from home for two weeks. Today, Gail has her health back and she enjoys her evening walks with Tim and their dogs. Craig Canape was a fun-loving, passionate person who prioritized his family and friends above all else. That love was returned as he fought to defeat cancer in his hospital room on 3Fortin, surrounded by his loved ones. Room 370 transformed into Craig’s “home” as dozens of friends and family members remained by his side until the very end. Craig was only 22 years old when he passed away. Although the grief was overwhelming, his parents, Tom and Susan, were so grateful for the loving care their son received from St. Vincent Healthcare staff during the final days of his life.

Northern Thailand has a staggering 59 National parks, all flush with green forests , murky rivers, a diverse array of wildlife and the tallest mountains in the country. Yet for many travellers, Chang Mai - the gateway to the north - is quite often where the buck stops. Indeed, it's all too easy to get sucked into the enjoyable vortex of tourism in the scenic, fortified town ; lively backpacker bars, organised 'treks' and the sheer hedonism of a nightlife catered to the taste of tourists. While it can undoubtedly be a lot of fun, there comes a point where it can all feel a bit, well, 'soulless'.
The best way to escape? Two wheels, no windows to confine the senses, and hitting the, at times very bumpy, open road. Thus I found myself rising at dawn, taking the helm of a Honda CBR; with only a rucksack full of clothes, food rations and the task of navigating the twists and gravely turns of the hilltop towns of Samoeng , Mae Rim - and eventually revving my way towards the mountains of Doi Tung and Chiang Kham.
The slight nervousness of being a relatively inexperienced biker was lulled by adrenaline , south-east asian lawlessness ('you no need licence here!') and the will to soak up the landscape, people and culture of the lesser known towns and villages that lay dotted amongst the national parks. From the quest for 'freedom' in Easy Rider to the motorcycle being the go-to vehicle for unfulfilled middle- aged men, the idea of escaping life and embracing liberty on two wheels has been well documented to the point of becoming a dreamy fallacy. But cliches certainly exist for a reason , and with the wind flinching your face as you rumble up and between the evergreen Northern Thai mountains ,theres no denying the sense of freedom that comes with a two-wheeled voyage amidst an ethereal part of the planet.
In earlier teenage travels and backpacking trips, I was the atypical young, exploratory traveller struck with wanderlust; a copy of On The Road in hand, a passing interest in Buddhism and a will to keep exploring the ups, downs and thrilling uncertainties of a nomadic lifestyle. Age, a dose of realism, and, probably most of all, 'maturity' weaned most of these sentiments away. However, I've never quite lost the belief that travelling almost always inspires revelations, new perspectives and enriches the self. In Hindi, these journeys - where the voyager embarks on a pilgrimage in search of 'something' - are known as ''Yatras''.
In my mind, the motorcycle, can quite literally be a very fast way to embark on your very own ''Yatra''. Especially amidst the backdrop of the flush Northern Thai mountainscape.

Within 36 hours of arriving home, Gail was fighting for her life in the St. Vincent Healthcare Intensive Care Unit. She had contracted a very rare bacterial infection. While Gail received round-the-clock care from the specialized medical team at SVH, her family made her hospital room their home away from home for two weeks. Today, Gail has her health back and she enjoys her evening walks with Tim and their dogs.
Craig Canape was a fun-loving, passionate person who prioritized his family and friends above all else. That love was returned as he fought to defeat cancer in his hospital room on 3Fortin, surrounded by his loved ones. Kubota and Gravely fun - Solar tacker wattsun
In the not to distant future I will be adding photo voltaic solar panels to our home. Since we live in a vary wooded area, love our trees, hate to kill anything (but gypsy moths n black ants), it truly pains my wife n I to cut trees down. All the above being a reality, it seems a solar tracker as seen at http://youtube.com/watch?v=ayjVNouuIqQ or http://youtube.com/watch?v=6j46qfuK72I or http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ArPZA1uRZ8&feature;=related will be the best approach (bang for the buck / watt). So this tree U C in this vid is the first of 8 that need to go. With out using a tracker I would need to remove lots more trees that 8. Trees that also shade our roof and Winter Garden room's south facing windows from the summer sun, thus need more solar panels to compensate for the extra air ...

Gravely 5865 Rusty Quick Hitch Fun
Gravely 5865 Rusty Quick Hitch Fun - Trying to remove a snow plow that was permanently rusted on this quick hitch when I got this machine last fall. Ouch :( I can't get it off, it will need a new Quick hitch pin since I hammered that to death , lol.... if anyone has any ideas on how to remove the pin from the plow mount let me know. Thanks

Gravely Barrel Train made- made with Gravely sulkies
Gravely barrel train pulled by a John Deere LX 280. 4 Gravely sulkies modified and fitted with barrels to safely carry small riders. Looks like fun, right? The kids sure did have a blast. The expandability of this train is endless, maybe I will ask Dad if he wants to ad another 4 or 5 sulkies to his collection. My father did all the engineering himself - he fitted each sulky with a long piece of angle iron and attached each one with a bolt and locking nut. Sounds simple but he worked on it for quite a while to get the weight distribution & balance correct. He dedicated the Gravely barrel train to the grandchildren.

From the top of a 6km climb up Telegraph valley is this excellent descent. A mixture of wide open rolling grassy fun into the Snowdon Ranger path for some loose gravely turns. Shot on GoProHD2 with the red light flashing and pointed a bit too far down.

A fun day for all at Texaco Joe's
Thanks to Joe and Mindy for their warm hospitality. Christine and I took Devon & Carter out to hang out on the Kelly's property this August long weekend. The kids had a really great time as Joe introduced them to the Gravely zero steer lawn tractor. We all had a great time hanging in the sun. The Oil & Gas time was awesome, and Christine thanks you again for the care package from your Garden. Fun times to remember for years to come! Cheers!

Gail Janiak and her husband, Tim, had just returned from their annual “March Madness” vacation to the NCAA Basketball Tournament, when she became gravely ill. Within 36 hours of arriving home, Gail was fighting for her life in the St. Vincent Healthcare Intensive Care Unit. She had contracted a very rare bacterial infection. While Gail received round-the-clock care from the specialized medical team at SVH, her family made her hospital room their home away from home for two weeks. Today, Gail has her health back and she enjoys her evening walks with Tim and their dogs.
Craig Canape was a fun-loving, passionate person who prioritized his family and friends above all else. That love was returned as he fought to defeat cancer in his hospital room on 3Fortin, surrounded by his loved ones. Room 370 transformed into Craig’s “home” as dozens of friends and family members remained by his side until the very end. Craig was only 22 years old when he passed away.
