It’s high time for a Japanese supercar smackdown, and we present a good one on this episode of Head 2 Head presented by Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com )! Ever since the Nissan GT-R finally came to America for the 2009 model year, it’s lacked a hometown rival. For 2017, Godzilla gets a refresh just in time to do battle with the brand-new Acura NSX. The NSX is a rolling tech showcase, combining a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged, 75-degree, 3.5L V-6 and (for the first time ever) two electric motors up front, providing real torque vectoring across the front axle. It also features a third electric motor sandwiched between the gasoline engine and a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic to provide torque-fill, boosting output while the turbochargers are spooling up. This new tech makes the GT-R sound decidedly old-school—its front-mounted, 3.8L twin-turbo V-6 mates to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic, with no electric motors to help it out. Motor Trend Senior Features Editors Jason Cammisa and Jonny Lieberman discuss the two supercar slayers before handing the keys over to SCCA Hall of Fame driver Randy Pobst to lap them both around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (本田技研工業株式会社, Honda Giken Kōgyō KK, IPA: [hoɴda]; /ˈhɒndə/) is a Japanese public multinational corporation primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles and power equipment.
Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959, as well as the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. Honda became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001. Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R is a 2-door 2+2 sports car produced by Nissan and unveiled in 2007. It is the successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R although no longer part of the Skyline range itself.
History
Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline sedan called the Nissan Skyline GT-R. This car proved to be iconic for Nissan and achieved much fame and success on both road and track. The Nissan GT-R, although no longer carrying the "Skyline" badge, has heritage in the Nissan Skyline GT-R, which was only available in the United States as a grey market car.
Similar to the later generations of the Skyline GT-Rs, the Nissan GT-R is four-wheel drive with a twin-turbo 6 cylinder engine and has the signature four round tail lights. However, the GT-R is an entirely new model sharing little with its Skyline siblings and is a complete redesign from previous Skylines rather than an incremental evolution; the four-wheel-steering HICAS system has been removed and the former straight-6 RB26DETT engine has been replaced with a new V6 VR38DETT. Because of the GT-R's heritage, the chassis code for the all-new version has been called CBA-R35, or 'R35' for short (where CBA is the prefix for emission standard), carrying on the naming trend from previous Skyline GT-R generations. The GT-R has also retained its Skyline predecessor's nickname Godzilla, given to it by the Australian motoring publication Wheels in its July 1989 edition.

I got a chance to take a look at the all new 2017 Acura NSX! I even got to drive it about 100 feet which was pretty awesome! This is totally the car of the future with a hybrid twin turbo power plant and AWD! The casino white color looked silver inside, but then is pearl white outside. Dark wheels with red brake calipers and the $10,000 carbon ceramic disc brakes. This has a 9 speed DCT, 1st gear is a launch gear and 9th is a cruise gear. So technically it is a normal 7 speed dual clutch with 2 extra gears. The 3.5L V6 has two turbos with about 500hp and then an electric motor on the trans, and a motor for each front wheel. The interior was black and red leather with black alcantara and looks super cool! This was ordered in the begining of 2016 and arrived late November. MSRP was $201,000 but should go for about $250,000. It only has 4 miles on it and still had the coverings on the interior because this car needs to stay presteine! Such an amazing car to see in person! Ever since the Nissan GT-R finally came to America for the 2009 model year, it’s lacked a hometown rival. For 2017, Godzilla gets a refresh just in time to do battle with the brand-new Acura NSX. The NSX is a rolling tech showcase, combining a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged, 75-degree, 3.5L V-6 and (for the first time ever) two electric motors up front, providing real torque vectoring across the front axle. It also features a third electric motor sandwiched between the gasoline engine and a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic to provide torque-fill, boosting output while the turbochargers are spooling up. This new tech makes the GT-R sound decidedly old-school—its front-mounted, 3.8L twin-turbo V-6 mates to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic, with no electric motors to help it out. Q. How fast is the Acura NSX?
A. Acura estimates that 0-60-mph acceleration will take just 3.0 seconds. In this acceleration test, however, the 2017 Acura NSX's zero-to-60 times range from 3.2 seconds to 4.1 seconds, depending on whether the car is put in Track mode.
Q. Is the Acura NSX all-wheel drive?
A. Yes, the 2017 Acura NSX is a much more complex machine than its rear-wheel-drive predecessor, boasting all-wheel drive.

Today was awesome to say the least! I got a chance to take a look at the all new 2017 Acura NSX! I even got to drive it about 100 feet which was pretty awesome! This is totally the car of the future with a hybrid twin turbo power plant and AWD! The casino white color looked silver inside, but then is pearl white outside. Dark wheels with red brake calipers and the $10,000 carbon ceramic disc brakes. This has a 9 speed DCT, 1st gear is a launch gear and 9th is a cruise gear. So technically it is a normal 7 speed dual clutch with 2 extra gears. The 3.5L V6 has two turbos with about 500hp and then an electric motor on the trans, and a motor for each front wheel.
The interior was black and red leather with black alcantara and looks super cool! This was ordered in the begining of 2016 and arrived late November. MSRP was $201,000 but should go for about $250,000. It only has 4 miles on it and still had the coverings on the interior because this car needs to stay presteine!
Such an amazing car to see in person!
