Rochdale /ˈrɒtʃdeɪl/ is a market town in Greater Manchester, England, positioned at the foothills of the South Pennines on the River Roch, 5.3 miles (8.5 km) north-northwest of Oldham, and 9.8 miles (15.8 km) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. Rochdale is surrounded by several smaller settlements which together form the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, population 211,699. Rochdale is the largest settlement and administrative centre, with a total population of 95,796.
Historically a part of Lancashire, Rochdale's recorded history begins with an entry in the Domesday Book of 1086 under Recedham Manor. The ancient parish of Rochdale was a division of the hundred of Salford and one of the largest ecclesiastical parishes in England comprising several townships. By 1251, Rochdale had become important enough to have been granted a Royal charter. Subsequently, Rochdale flourished into a centre of northern England's woollen trade, and by the early 18th century was described as being "remarkable for many wealthy merchants".
Britain First is a far-right,fascist and British nationalist political party and movement formed in 2011 by former members of the British National Party. The party is led by a former BNP councillor Paul Golding, and was founded by Jim Dowson, an anti-abortion campaigner linked to Ulster loyalist militants.
Britain First campaigns primarily against immigration, multiculturalism and what it sees as the Islamisation of the United Kingdom, and advocates the preservation of traditional British culture. The group is inspired by Ulster loyalism and has a vigilante wing called the "Britain First Defence Force". It attracted attention by taking direct action such as protests outside homes of alleged Islamists, and what it describes as "Christian patrols" and "invasions" of British mosques, and has been noted for its online activism. It has contested elections to the House of Commons, the European Parliament and the mayoralty of London, but has not held any elected posts.
Britain First was created by Jim Dowson, who ran a call centre in Dundonald, East Belfast, for the British National Party (BNP). Dowson's links with the BNP as a fundraiser ended acrimoniously in October 2010 when he was accused of groping a female activist. A former Calvinist minister, Dowson is a Scottish Christian fundamentalist. Based in Ballygowan, Northern Ireland, he also led an anti-abortion campaign, the UK Life League.

Blackburn Rovers Football Club /ˈblækbɜːrn ˈroʊvərz/ is an English professional association football club based in the town of Blackburn, Lancashire. The team competes in the Football League Championship from the 2012–13 season. They were relegated from the Premier League, the top tier of English football, at the end of the 2011–12 season.
The club was established in 1875, becoming a founding member of The Football League in 1888. It is one of only three clubs to have been both a founder member of the Football League and the Premier League (the others being Aston Villa and Everton). In 1890 Rovers moved to its permanent home at Ewood Park. Prior to the formation of the Premier League in 1992, most of the club's successes were before 1930, when it had gained league and FA Cup trophies on several occasions. Relegation in 1965–66 was followed by 26 successive seasons of football outside the top flight.
In 1992, Blackburn gained promotion to the new Premier League a year after being taken over by local steel baron Jack Walker, who installed Kenny Dalglish as manager. In 1995, Blackburn became Premier League champions, having spent millions of pounds on players like Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton. However, the title-winning team was quickly split up and, in the 1998–99 season, the club was relegated. It was promoted back to the Premier League two years later, in the 2000–01 season, just after Walker's death. During this time it has qualified for the UEFA Cup four times: once as League Cup winners, twice as the Premier League's sixth-placed team and once via the Intertoto Cup. The 2011–12 season marked the club's 72nd, non-consecutive, year in the top flight. Blackburn are currently one of only five clubs to have won the Premier League, along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.

MDL (Muslim Defence League) held a counter protest against Britain First in Rochdale. Britain First supporters were chased after abusing Muslim women near the train station and a few Britain First supporters were beaten up by locals. The police were heavy handed on MDL supporters punching and pushing them which created a lot of tension between local Muslims and police officers.
Hannah was just 15 when she was groomed and used for sex. After being lured with free gifts, she was plied with alcohol and systematically abused for seven months by a gang of Muslim men. Hannah was just one of up to fifty girls to be passed around by the gang. The girls, who were all under 16, were forced to have sex with up to 20 men in one night. Hannah shares the story of how she went from a young Rochdale schoolgirl to a key witness in the trial of Britain's most notorious child sex ring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochdale_sex_trafficking_gang

Hollingworth Lake, Rochdale by 0161 www.facebook.com/ohonesixone Hollingworth Lake is a 130-acre (53 ha) reservoir at Smithy Bridge, in Littleborough — part of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester, England. The lake was originally built as the main water source for the Rochdale Canal, but developed as a tourist resort from the 1860s, and became known as the Weighver's Seaport. Hotels were built around it, at least two of which had outdoor dancing stages with gas lighting.[citation needed] Tourism was helped by the arrival of the railway in 1839, which brought day-trippers and weekend visitors from Manchester, Bradford and Leeds. The popularity of the lake as a resort declined in the early twentieth century, and the area was used as an army camp during the First Wo...

Congregational singing Metropolitan Tabernacle, London (Peter Masters) Text: Charles Wesley | Tune: MAGDALEN Leader of faithful souls, and Guide Of all who travel to the sky, Come, and with us, e’en us abide, Who would on Thee alone rely; On Thee alone our spirits stay, While held in life’s uneven way. Strangers and pilgrims here below, This earth, we know, is not our place; We hasten through this vale of woe, And, restless to behold Thy face, Swift to our heavenly country move, Our everlasting home above. We’ve no abiding city here, But seek a city out of sight; Thither our steady course we steer, Aspiring to the plains of light, Jerusalem, the saints’ abode, Whose founder is the living God. Raised by the breath of love divine, We tread the way the saints have trod; The Church of the ...
