"Transformers: The Last Knight" held its star-studded premiere in Chicago on June 20, 2017. On the red carpet, Adam Fendelman of HollywoodChicago.com asked voice artist Frank Welker to jump into character to voice Decepticons including Megatron and Soundwave.
The film, which opened on June 21, 2017, stars Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock and Stanley Tucci from director Michael Bay.

Frank Welker
Franklin Wendell "Frank" Welker (born March 12, 1946) is an American actor, who for most of his career has specialized as a voice actor.
Early life
Welker was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 12, 1946. He then moved to California and attended Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California, where he majored in Theatrical Arts. In 1966, he received honors for his performance as the Cowardly Lion in the college's theater production of The Wizard of Oz. During his transition between college and his voice acting career, his first voice-over role was in a commercial for Friskies dog food. The producer's girlfriend informed him of auditioning for Hanna-Barbera during the casting of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! where he initially auditioned for the title character but instead won the role of Fred Jones.
Career
Live action acting career
Welker's first on-camera film role was as a college kid from Rutgers University who befriends Elvis Presley in The Trouble with Girls (1969). His next film role was in the Disney film The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969), which starred Kurt Russell. He later co-starred with Don Knotts in Universal's How to Frame a Figg (1971). Welker also appeared in Now You See Him, Now You Don't (1972) and Dirty Little Billy (1972).

Rhode Island
Rhode Island (
i/ˌroʊdˈaɪlənd/, officially the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is a state in the New England region of the United States. Rhode Island is the smallest in area, the eighth least populous, and the second most densely populated (behind New Jersey) of the 50 U.S. states; its official name is also the longest of any state in the Union. Rhode Island is bordered by Connecticut to the west, Massachusetts to the north and east, and the Atlantic Ocean (via Rhode Island Sound and Block Island Sound) to the south.
On May 4, 1776, Rhode Island became the first of the Thirteen Colonies to renounce its allegiance to the British Crown, and later, was the fourth to ratify—February 9, 1778—the Articles of Confederation between the newly sovereign states. It boycotted the 1787 convention that drew up the United States Constitution, and initially refused to ratify it. On May 29, 1790, Rhode Island became the thirteenth and last state to ratify the Constitution.

Peter Cullen
Peter Claver Cullen (born July 28, 1941) is a Canadian voice actor. He is best known as the original voice of Optimus Prime (as well as Ironhide) in the original 1980s Transformers animated series, and most other appearances, as well, and Eeyore in the Winnie-the-Pooh franchise. He also voiced Monterey Jack in Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers from season one through some of season two. Starting in 2007, Peter Cullen has reprised his role as Optimus Prime in related Transformers media, starting with the first live-action film.
Early life
Cullen was born on July 28, 1941 in Montreal, Quebec to Henry L. and Muriel (née McCann) Cullen. He has three siblings: Michaela (Mrs. Tomlinson), Sonny, and Larry. Cullen attended Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. He is a member of the first graduating class of the National Theatre School of Canada, which graduated in 1963. His brother, Larry Cullen, was a retired Captain in the United States Marine Corps, and helped inspire the voice of Optimus Prime.

Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime (formerly Orion Pax) is a fictional character from the Transformers franchise. Optimus Prime is consistently depicted as having strong moral character, excellent leadership, and sound decision-making skills, and possesses brilliant military tactics, powerful martial arts, and advanced alien weaponry. Optimus Prime has a strong sense of honor and justice, being dedicated to building peaceful and mutually beneficial co-existence with humans, the protection of life and liberty of all sentient species.
As the current Matrix of Leadership bearer, Optimus Prime is the de facto leader of the Autobots, a faction of a transforming species of synthetic intelligence from the planet Cybertron. The Autobots are constantly waging civil war against a rival faction of transforming robots called Decepticons. According to Bob Budiansky, co-writer of the Transformers series, Dennis O'Neil was responsible for his name.

Rhode Island Comic Con
Rhode Island Comic Con (RICC) is an three day comic convention held during November at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The convention was Rhode Island's first Comic Con.
Programming
The convention typically offers artists, celebrity guests, cars, comic book authors, a costume contest, gaming, kids-con, professional wrestlers, vendors, video game tournaments, and voice artists. In 2013, the convention also hosted several wedding ceremonies.
History
Rhode Island Comic Con held its first event in 2012 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and took two years to prepare.David Anders, Anthony Michael Hall, Madison Lintz, Jett Lucas, Nichelle Nichols, Chanel Ryan, and Raphael Sbarge could not make it to the 2013 convention due to the 2013 Los Angeles International Airport shooting. A Halloween party was held on Friday before the convention in 2014. The fire marshal shutdown RICC temporarily on Saturday due to over capacity caused by poor attendance flow. Rhode Island Convention Center has a maximum occupancy of 17,000 and attendance at the time of shutdown was over 20,000. It was the first time in Rhode Island Convention Center history a shutdown due to over capacity occurred. An estimated 1,500 or more attendees were unable to enter the convention. Many were attendees who left the convention but could not re-enter. The attendees in line suffered from poor weather conditions and chants for refunds began. Attendees were later allowed to enter in small groups (100 people) or could exchange tickets for Sunday. Refunds were later issued for attendees who purchased tickets but could not enter the convention. Crowding was also caused by the convention's 50 percent growth, not using all available space, and the convention center not being prepared for attendees to stay so long. Sunday did not experience the same levels of crowding and ticket sales were capped.

Transformers The Last Knight, Megatron and his origins have finally been revealed. Join me as I reveal his epic history. What's up you guys? My name is RBG and welcome to my new video segment, Transformers Movie Universe History. In a previous episode did a video covering the origins of Optimus Prime and to my surprise that upload got a huge response. As mentioned in the last episode I myself am well aware of the hate the Bay films receive and have to agree that most of it is warranted. But I wanna take you guys on a journey and show you some of the positives this universe has to offer because if we're gonna be honest there are certain characters in the films that don't get their just due. Just a heads up if you haven't seen the movies or read the comic book material used in this video, it will come off a bit spoilerish. So be advised. As promised it's only right that I do a origin video pertaining to Optimus Prime's longtime rival, Megatron. Now I have to be completely honest, I'm very disappointed in how Megatron has been written in the movie universe. It started off as something good. In the beginning possessed all the good traits that made him who he was, from his dark vinacular, to his manipulative and cunning personality. I'd say he was 1 of the shining stars in the 1st film because when he stepped on the scene shit got wrecked. But that's where it stopped. In the films that followed he became nothing more than a secondary attraction that was just there to fill in certain gaps of the plot. He's sorta just there in a sense. I mean yeah he made an impact by killing Optimus in the second film but that was only for a brief moment. He was nothing more than an errand boy doing someone else's bidding and it's been that way in each film. From being a servant to the Fallen, to being punked by Sentinel Prime. Those two particular Primes he's worked under serve a major purpose in his origins so I'll give them a pass but I can't get over the fact that he was a partial servant to humans in Age of Extinction.
As we all are aware Megatron will be making a return in the The Last Knight but we don't know if this is Galvatron denouncing his ties as KSI and taking on the name again or if the two are separate characters. I heard that his classic G1 voice actor Frank Welker would be reprising his role as Megatron for the 1st time in the live action films so I'm willing to bet they're 1 in the same. I mean Frank did voice Galvatron in Age of Extinction so it's a no brainer. But what do you guys think about this origin story? Did you find it interesting? I really hope that you guys enjoy this Transformers The Last Knight - "Megatron's Origin story/History Explained" video that I have provided, going back and rewatching some of the scenes brought back so much nostalgia. The Megatron vs Optimus fight was the most epic battles but the death scene of Optimus will be the most memorable moment. All the cutscenes kind of remind me of the Kingdom Hearts' cutscenes and the gameplay is very similar with the Action/ RPG aspect.
All in All it was fun making this cutscenes movie foe you guys and if you like it please be my guest and leave a LIKE on the video but if you didn't like it or don't like me for some odd reason do me a favor and DISLIKE the video. It took me multiple times to get this right since I had to deal with frame rate issues and remastering problem within Megatron's origin story but I think I finally got it right and this will be the best movie of it thus far.

In a previous episode did a video covering the origins of Optimus Prime and to my surprise that upload got a huge response. As mentioned in the last episode I myself am well aware of the hate the Bay films receive and have to agree that most of it is warranted. But I wanna take you guys on a journey and show you some of the positives this universe has to offer because if we're gonna be honest there are certain characters in the films that don't get their just due. Just a heads up if you haven't seen the movies or read the comic book material used in this video, it will come off a bit spoilerish. So be advised. As promised it's only right that I do a origin video pertaining to Optimus Prime's longtime rival, Megatron. Now I have to be completely honest, I'm very disappointed in how Megatron has been written in the movie universe. It started off as something good. In the beginning possessed all the good traits that made him who he was, from his dark vinacular, to his manipulative and cunning personality. I'd say he was 1 of the shining stars in the 1st film because when he stepped on the scene shit got wrecked. But that's where it stopped. In the films that followed he became nothing more than a secondary attraction that was just there to fill in certain gaps of the plot. He's sorta just there in a sense. I mean yeah he made an impact by killing Optimus in the second film but that was only for a brief moment. He was nothing more than an errand boy doing someone else's bidding and it's been that way in each film. From being a servant to the Fallen, to being punked by Sentinel Prime. Those two particular Primes he's worked under serve a major purpose in his origins so I'll give them a pass but I can't get over the fact that he was a partial servant to humans in Age of Extinction.
As we all are aware Megatron will be making a return in the The Last Knight but we don't know if this is Galvatron denouncing his ties as KSI and taking on the name again or if the two are separate characters. I heard that his classic G1 voice actor Frank Welker would be reprising his role as Megatron for the 1st time in the live action films so I'm willing to bet they're 1 in the same. I mean Frank did voice Galvatron in Age of Extinction so it's a no brainer. But what do you guys think about this origin story? Did you find it interesting? I really hope that you guys enjoy this Transformers The Last Knight - "Megatron's Origin story/History Explained" video that I have provided, going back and rewatching some of the scenes brought back so much nostalgia. The Megatron vs Optimus fight was the most epic battles but the death scene of Optimus will be the most memorable moment. All the cutscenes kind of remind me of the Kingdom Hearts' cutscenes and the gameplay is very similar with the Action/ RPG aspect.
All in All it was fun making this cutscenes movie foe you guys and if you like it please be my guest and leave a LIKE on the video but if you didn't like it or don't like me for some odd reason do me a favor and DISLIKE the video. It took me multiple times to get this right since I had to deal with frame rate issues and remastering problem within Megatron's origin story but I think I finally got it right and this will be the best movie of it thus far.
Transformers/Megatron and all it's properties are owned and developed by Hasbro and Paramount. This video was uploaded to get the viewers to support the series by buying the comics and movies for themselves.

Transformers The Last Knight, Megatron and his origins have finally been revealed. Join me as I reveal his epic history. What's up you guys? My name is RBG and welcome to my new video segment, Transformers Movie Universe History. In a previous episode did a video covering the origins of Optimus Prime and to my surprise that upload got a huge response. As mentioned in the last episode I myself am well aware of the hate the Bay films receive and have to agree that most of it is warranted. But I wanna take you guys on a journey and show you some of the positives this universe has to offer because if we're gonna be honest there are certain characters in the films that don't get their just due. Just a heads up if you haven't seen the movies or read the comic book material used in this video, it will come off a bit spoilerish. So be advised. As promised it's only right that I do a origin video pertaining to Optimus Prime's longtime rival, Megatron. Now I have to be completely honest, I'm very disappointed in how Megatron has been written in the movie universe. It started off as something good. In the beginning possessed all the good traits that made him who he was, from his dark vinacular, to his manipulative and cunning personality. I'd say he was 1 of the shining stars in the 1st film because when he stepped on the scene shit got wrecked. But that's where it stopped. In the films that followed he became nothing more than a secondary attraction that was just there to fill in certain gaps of the plot. He's sorta just there in a sense. I mean yeah he made an impact by killing Optimus in the second film but that was only for a brief moment. He was nothing more than an errand boy doing someone else's bidding and it's been that way in each film. From being a servant to the Fallen, to being punked by Sentinel Prime. Those two particular Primes he's worked under serve a major purpose in his origins so I'll give them a pass but I can't get over the fact that he was a partial servant to humans in Age of Extinction.
As we all are aware Megatron will be making a return in the The Last Knight but we don't know if this is Galvatron denouncing his ties as KSI and taking on the name again or if the two are separate characters. I heard that his classic G1 voice actor Frank Welker would be reprising his role as Megatron for the 1st time in the live action films so I'm willing to bet they're 1 in the same. I mean Frank did voice Galvatron in Age of Extinction so it's a no brainer. But what do you guys think about this origin story? Did you find it interesting? I really hope that you guys enjoy this Transformers The Last Knight - "Megatron's Origin story/History Explained" video that I have provided, going back and rewatching some of the scenes brought back so much nostalgia. The Megatron vs Optimus fight was the most epic battles but the death scene of Optimus will be the most memorable moment. All the cutscenes kind of remind me of the Kingdom Hearts' cutscenes and the gameplay is very similar with the Action/ RPG aspect.
All in All it was fun making this cutscenes movie foe you guys and if you like it please be my guest and leave a LIKE on the video but if you didn't like it or don't like me for some odd reason do me a favor and DISLIKE the video. It took me multiple times to get this right since I had to deal with frame rate issues and remastering problem within Megatron's origin story but I think I finally got it right and this will be the best movie of it thus far.
Transformers/Megatron and all it's properties are owned and developed by Hasbro and Paramount. This video was uploaded to get the viewers to support the series by buying the comics and movies for themselves.
