60-metre built by Amels exclusively supervised and managed by Imperial, with exterior design by Tim Heywood and interior design by Laura Sessa, EVENT is a remarkable achievement launched during summer 2013 and awarded in 2014 at the World Superyacht Awards.
A motoryacht with contemporary exterior styling complemented by her elegant interior, while the quality of the build was beyond reproach. Characterized by her scimitar bow, which gives a longer waterline to the yacht, EVENT is the first Limited Edition 199 series built by Amels. Highly customized, with notable features include an enclosed sundeck area, helipad, additional folding bulwark and a marvellous spa/sunbathing space on the stern. Additional design part: the tenders are stowed within the bow, giving her a higher behaviour with these stylish details. The yacht is being sold with limo tender designed by Tim Heywood especially for EVENT.
EVENT has exclusive and very expensive interior. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms : full-beam master suite on the main deck with opening balconies, two VIP staterooms on the bridge deck, and a double stateroom + two twins are located on the lower deck. All staterooms have ensuite facilities and stunning assets. The yacht's special feature is a spacious beach club with spa and gym areas.

As her current owner's representative points out, the whole process was simply “stress-free”, something specifically remarkable for a project of this scale. With an LOA of 65.50 metres, renowned British designer Tim Heywood, along with Amels' own team of design specialists, conceived a contemporary exterior design, graciously combining form and function. Imagine's overall set-up is one aimed at living variously and stylishly, whether inside or out, in harbour, at anchor or out at sea. Damen Group
History
Damen was established in 1927 in the town of Hardinxveld-Giessendam in the Netherlands by Jan and Marinus Damen. The two brothers ran a successful, mainly Dutch-oriented, shipyard for decades. Over the years they managed to build up a small, but loyal customer-base.
Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, located about 10 km from Damen’s HQ in Gorinchem, still exists today and is specialised in designing and building workboats, especially Multi Cats ad Shoalbusters.
In 1969 Jan Damen’s son, Kommer Damen, took over. In addition to building reliable vessels at an affordable price, Kommer Damen had a revolutionary idea: the standardisation and series production of workboats. To make this vision become reality he needed the support of several key suppliers and clients, most of which still maintain a close relationship with Damen today.
Today, Damen Shipyards Group is a globally operating company with more than 50 shipyards, repair yards and related companies as well as numerous partner yards that can build Damen vessels locally. Since 1969, Damen has designed and built more than 5,000 vessels and delivers up to 150 vessels annually.

Tim Heywood
Geoffrey Beresford Heywood MBE DL (July 12, 1914 – June 15, 2006), known as Tim Heywood, was a British Army officer and bureaucrat. He served as the chief signals officer of the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG). In later life, he was president of the Country Landowners' Association (CLA) and founder president of the European Landowners' Association.
Heywood was born in Newcastle. His father was a stockbroker. He was educated at Eton, where he built radios in his spare time. He became an accountant, and was commissioned into the Royal Corps of Signals (Middlesex Yeomanry) in 1939. His regiment was sent to Palestine with the 1st Cavalry Division in 1940. He volunteered to join the Long Range Desert Group and was interviewed by Major Ralph Bagnold and Captain Bill Shaw in Cairo. He joined the LRDG and became its chief signals officer in August 1941, in charge of its special radio equipment, its codes, and the communications group at the Group's headquarters. After fighting for three years in North Africa, and a spell in Lebanon and the Greek islands, the Group moved to Bari in south Italy, from which it raided Corfu and operated in the Dalmatian islands and Yugoslavia.

Her build went smoothly from start to finish, and she was delivered 4 weeks ahead of schedule with an unmentionably short snag list of five minor items. As her current owner's representative points out, the whole process was simply “stress-free”, something specifically remarkable for a project of this scale. With an LOA of 65.50 metres, renowned British designer Tim Heywood, along with Amels' own team of design specialists, conceived a contemporary exterior design, graciously combining form and function. Her fresh looks strike one as particularly architectural, with Heywood himself describing the design as “strong, athletic, feminine and sleek”.
Imagine's overall set-up is one aimed at living variously and stylishly, whether inside or out, in harbour, at anchor or out at sea. This is lifestyle, accompanied by every comfort imaginable, is essentially one that most every yacht owner pursues. With this vessel, one can stop imagining and start living.
Externally, this superyacht offers an impressive variety of opportunities for relaxation, be it al-fresco dining, enjoying the sun and a soft breeze, or simply relaxing.
