SYNOPSIS:
Robin Wright, playing the role of herself, gets an offer from a major studio to sell her cinematic identity: she'll be numerically scanned and sampled so that her alias can be used with no restrictions in all kinds of Hollywood films - even the most commercial ones that she previously refused. In exchange she receives loads of money, but more importantly, the studio agrees to keep her digitalized character forever young - for all eternity - in all of their films. The contract is valid for 20 years.
The Congress follows Robin as she makes her comeback after the contract expires, straight into the world of future fantasy cinema.

Robin Wright
Robin Gayle Wright (born April 8, 1966) is an American film and TV actress. She currently stars as Claire Underwood in House of Cards, for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama in 2014, making her the first actress to win a Golden Globe for an online-only web television series.
Wright first gained attention when starring in the NBC soap opera Santa Barbara as Kelly Capwell from 1984 to 1988. She made the transition to film, starring in the romantic comedy fantasy adventure film The Princess Bride in 1987. She then starred in the fantasy-comedy Toys (1992), the epic romantic comedy-drama Forrest Gump (1994), the romantic drama Message in a Bottle (1999), the superhero drama-thriller Unbreakable (2000), the historical drama The Conspirator (2010). She later starred in the biographical sports drama Moneyball (2011), and the mystery thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011).
From 1996 to 2010, she was married to actor Sean Penn, with whom she has two children. During this time, she was credited as Robin Wright Penn.

Ari Folman
Ari Folman (Hebrew: ארי פולמן) (born December 17, 1962) is an Israeli film director, screenwriter and film score composer. He is perhaps best known for directing his animated documentary film Waltz With Bashir as well as directing the live-action/animated film The Congress. He currently plans to direct an animated drama film based on the life of Anne Frank during the holocaust.
Biography
Ari Folman was born in Haifa to Holocaust survivors. His wife is also a film director. They live in Tel Aviv.
Directing career
Waltz with Bashir
Ari Folman's memories of the aftermath of the 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacre which took place when he was a 19-year-old soldier, served as the basis for his movie Waltz with Bashir. The film follows his attempt to regain his memories of the war through therapy as well as conversations with old friends and other Israelis that were present in Beirut around the time of the massacre.
Television career
Since 2006 he has been the head writer of the Hot 3 drama series Betipul.

Max Richter
Max Richter (born 22 March 1966) is a German-born British composer who has been an influential voice in post-minimalist composition and in the meeting of contemporary classical and alternative popular musical styles since the early 2000s. Richter is classically trained, having graduated in composition from the Royal Academy of Music and studied with Luciano Berio in Italy, and is also strongly influenced by punk and electronic music.
Richter is known for his prolific output, composing and recording his own music; writing for stage, opera, ballet and screen; producing and collaborating on the records of others; and collaborating with performance, installation and media artists. He has recorded seven solo albums and his music is widely used in cinema.
Early career
Richter grew up in the United Kingdom in the county town of Bedford where he was educated at Bedford Modern School. After school he studied composition and piano at the University of Edinburgh, the Royal Academy of Music, and with Luciano Berio in Florence. After finishing his studies, Richter co-founded the contemporary classical ensemble Piano Circus. He stayed with the group for ten years, commissioning and performing works by minimalist musicians such as Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe, and Steve Reich. The ensemble was signed to Decca/Argo, producing five albums.

More than two decades after catapulting to stardom, aging actress Robin Wright (playing a version of herself) decides to preserve her digital likeness for a future Hollywood. Her alias will be controlled by Miramount Studios, and will star in any film they want with no restrictions. In return she receives compensation so she can care for her ailing son, and her digitized character will stay forever young. Twenty years later under the creative vision of the studio's head animator, Wright's digital double rises to immortal stardom. Robin Wright, playing the role of herself, gets an offer from a major studio to sell her cinematic identity: she'll be numerically scanned and sampled so that her alias can be used with no restrictions in all kinds of Hollywood films - even the most commercial ones that she previously refused. In exchange she receives loads of money, but more importantly, the studio agrees to keep her digitalized character forever young - for all eternity - in all of their films. The contract is valid for 20 years.
The Congress follows Robin as she makes her comeback after the contract expires, straight into the world of future fantasy cinema.

The Congress mine is centred near the north shore of Carpenter Lake, latitude 50° 52' 00", longitude 122° 43' 35", west of the mouth of Gun Creek, six kilometres northeast of Gold Bridge on Highway 40 (Figure 10a). The property was first visited in 1985. Geological mapping was completed by the writer during several visits to the property in 1986 and Ace adit was examined and sampled. The Howard adits and Lou decline surveyed in July 1988.
History
The property, consisting of the Congress mine and several nearby mineral prospects, is owned jointly by Levon Resources Limited and Veronex Resources Limited. The claim block includes a number of reverted Crown-granted claims including Stibnite 1-4, Snowflake fraction, Turner 1, Turner 2, Robert fraction, David fraction, Nap 1, 3 to 9 and Ace 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, 28.
The history of the Congress property began about 1910 when the 'Northstar-University' vein was found, following the earlier discovery of placer gold on Gun Creek. The Congress vein was staked by E.J. Taylor and J. Shuster in 1913 and, according to Cooke et al.(1986), C.H. Allan and Associates produced a small amount of gold-antimony ore from a short adit. Congress Gold Mines Limited acquired the property from T. Turner in 1933 and developed three adit levels on the Congress zone between 1934 and 1937. During this period 940 tonnes of ore was tested at the Wayside mill; this yielded 2.58 kilograms of gold, 1.31 kilograms of silver and 38 kilograms of copper.
From 1946 to 1950 Sheep Creek Gold Mines Limited managed the property and developed two additional underground levels at the Congress mine and connected the workings with an inclined shaft. In 1959 the Howard vein was discovered 900 metres west of the Congress mine. Ownership of the property passed to the Ace Mining Company Limited then, under option agreement, to Bralorne Pioneer Mines Limited from 1960 to 1964. In this period Bralorne Pioneer Mines Limited did underground work on the Howard vein and continued drifting at the Congress mine while also carrying out programs of surface and underground drilling. The Howard vein was drifted on for about 160 metres at this time, also several new mineralized zones were discovered, including the Bluff zone northeast of the Congress mine and the Paul zone on the north side of Gun Creek, 1.5 kilometres north of the previous discoveries. In 1965 the Ace Mining Company drilled the Paul zone and did other prospecting on the property. Additional exploration was undertaken by Rayrock Exploration Limited. in 1964 and Alice Arm Mining Limited in 1972. In 1975 Alice Arm was reorganized as New Congress Resources, Limited and, over the next five years completed much drilling and drifting on the Howard zone. The property was acquired by Levon Resources Limited in 1982 and under option agreement Veronex Resources Limited funded continuation of the exploration program. The principal exploration has been diamond drilling and underground development of the Howard and Lou zones in 1984 to 88, and a bioleaching pilot project in 1988 and 1989. (Due to the overall fine-grained nature of the ore and the association of gold and silver with arsenopyrite and stibnite, a 250,000-litre capacity biological leaching pilot plant was installed in the Plateau Pond area near the west boundary of the property with the collaboration of Giant Bay Resources Limited. A 600-tonne test sample for this plant was mined from the Howard and Ace workings of the mine). No further work has been done on the property because of disappointing results at a time of low metal prices.

The Congress property is underlain by a panel of Pioneer pillow lavas and associated basalt feeder dikes and small cogenetic gabbro bodies (Church, 1986a; Cooke, 1986c). These rocks are bounded on the east and west by cataclastic facies of the Fergusson assemblage, including milled ribbon chert, phyllite, graphitic schist, and some marble lenses (Figure 11a). Feldspar porphyry dikes of Tertiary age are conspicuous in the mine workings as well as areas of fracturing and faulting. The ore is relatively simple consisting mainly of pyrite, arsenopyrite and stibnite in discontinuous northerly trending quartz veins accompanied by carbonate alteration.

Things haven't been going right for the Congress party ever since the 2014 Lok Sabha debacle, unlike the BJP which seems to be riding a winning wave. But the irony is as the main opposition party it is the onus of the Congress to cobble together some sort of a Modi versus rest coalition. Dr. Sanjaya Baru, a panelist on The Roundtable stated that Mamata Banerjee has the aptitude to revive Congress party as she is a former Congress woman.

April 10, 2017 | The Indian National Congress was founded in 1885 during the British Raj in India, and after independence in 1947, the Congress Party became India’s dominant political party, winning an outright majority on six occasions and leading the dominant coalition four times, thereby ruling the central government for 49 years. There have been seven prime ministers from this center-left, social liberal party.
In the 2014 general election, the Bharatiya Janata Party, a right-wing Hindu nationalist party, won 282 seats in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s parliament, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in as the fifteenth prime minister of India, ending the Congress Party’s long ruling streak.
On April 10, the India Initiative hosted Ramachandra Guha, Indian historian and award-winning author, for a conversation on “The Long Life and Lingering Death of the Indian National Congress.” Ramachandra Guha, once named “Indian democracy’s preeminent chronicler” by Time Magazine, analyzed the long term electoral success of the Congress Party, examined the reasons for its decline, and grappled with questions about India’s political future.
