Chotti Bahu is an Indian television soap opera that aired on Zee TV,starring Avinash Sachdev as Dev and Rubina Dilaik as Radhika. The serial focuses on the love saga of Radhika, a great devotee of the Hindu god Krishna (often referred in the serial as "Kanha") and Dev.
The show had two seasons titled Chotti Bahu – Sindoor Bin Suhagan and Chhoti Bahu - Sawar Ke Rang Rachi. Chotti Bahu season one created history by extending the prime time slot to early prime time 7:30 pm. The second season was brought back on public demand after the abrupt ending of the previous season. However,it was not as successful as the first season.
Chotti Bahu - Sindoor Bin Suhagan (Season 1) was scheduled to premiere on 10 November 2008, but was delayed until 8 December 2008 due to the "Indian Television Strike" . Chotti Bahu season one is the pioneer of 7.30 time slot. It delivered numbers which beat some of the best shows across GEC's in the prime time and thereby extending the prime time slot to early prime time 7.30.

Dadi tries to poison Devkis mind against Radhika. Radhika and Dev are lost in thoughts, and they decide to take life as it comes. Devki tries to explain to Dadi how destiny is trying to prove that Radhika is Devs wife. Shastriji comes to meet Vishakha at the police station, where she tells him that she does not wish to become a housewife, but aspires to become a film actress. Purab backs out to avoid the trouble. Shastriji requests Vishakha to come back home. Dadima notices Radhika while she is doing all the puja preparation.
With Vishakha's shadow erased from their lives, Dev gets eager to spend some intimate moments with Radhika. Dadi tells Radhika that she can consider her to be her best friend as well. Dadi observes Dev's attempts call Radhika cl ose to him and just to annoy him, asks Radhika to spend the night in her room. But later on she allows Radhika to leave. Vaishali entrusts the house keys to Radhika. Shastriji informs Dev that he found Vishakha, but he couldnt stop her. Radhika is shocked when Dadima tells Dev that he will be able to see his wifes face soon. Mrinalini taunts Vivek when Dev says that he is taking his guidance on how to carry on the family responsibilities. The police take Purab and Vishakha into custody. Blissfully unaware that Radhika is the one whom he loves, Dev confesses to her that he loves another.
Mata Ramji wonders what is so important to Abhay more than her. Vaishali asks Dev to make Radhika wear the locket which he had gifted to her. Mata Ramji visits the Purohits and is shocked to see Abhay as Dev. Abhay is in a dilemma how to tell the Purohits that he is not Dev. Stereo Audio
Barkha is shocked when Daima tells her that Radhika was at home throughout the day. Barkha finds it hard to believe, but there is nothing that she can do to prove her point. Later, Balram tells Lord Krishna that he feels that Radhika does not deserve the death which she got. At this Lord Krishna tells him that Radhika is not dead. He then narrates the entire story to Balram. Lord Krishna tells Balram that the body which Barkha had buried was just an illusion and the real Radhika is very much alive. He further tells Balram that once he settles scores with Barkha and Maheshwari, he will bring the real Radhika.
Though Radhika is seriously injured, she is alive. She is stunned as she never thought that Barkha would stoop so low to try and kill her. Radhika decides to reach the mutt at the earliest, but Barkha again runs her car over her. Radhika falls on the other side of the road. Radhika's injury does not deter her from going to the mutt and she starts running. Barkha follows her and once again rams her with her car. Radhika is seriously injured and bleeding profoundly. Barkha then walks towards a semi-conscious Radhika and brutally kills her. Meanwhile, Dev starts feeling uneasy and senses something is wrong but cannot decipher the indications.
