Summarized in a two line dialogue (courtesy Degrassi):
“You’re dancing in bikinis for Joey’s music video? That’s degrading!”
“There’s nothing degrading about making 20 bucks.”
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
By “hiatus” I meant that this will be updated about as often as I have internet access, and sex work-related content. Which won’t be as often. I just needed to share this gem, from the original Degrassi, of course. For those similarly addicted, it turns out you can watch season 7 and 8 online. So good!

Hey! ^_^
I’ve always had a question I’ve wanted to ask ya so here it goes: just like any other job, people gotta gear themselves up and “keep themselves in shape for it” (<–I’m not refering to exercise per se with that phrase).
For example, since I tend to work alotta office jobs I try to keep myself up to date with the latest software and also try to get some good tunes in before my shift so I can keep myself from losing my shit at work. Once in a while, I used to run for half hour in the morning before my shifts cuz I find that when I’m moving a lot, I think less so it helps calm my brain before I’m bombarded by info and constant telephone rings.
So how do you do it? What are the ways you keep or get yourself geared up for work?

yes! questions! thanks for the comment, let’s see…
Having an outlet is probably the most important thing, kind of like any job. Music, writing, art, people to rant at. Since I didn’t have anyone I felt comfortable talking about work with in the small city, writing this blog became more of a necessity to maintain my sanity. Far more so than as a forum to “educate” or “share my perspective,” though I hope those have been achieved to an extent. Since coming here to the big sexy city, there’s tons of people who want to talk about sex, my work, and/or their work in the industry. Decompression ends up being a lot more important for me than getting ready right before a shift, but I guess that cycles back around and if it doesn’t happen then I get burned out and have to take a week or longer off.
And sleep, a good amount of sleep.
