Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball league. A total of 30 teams now play in two divisions, the American League (AL) and National League (NL), with 15 teams in each. The AL and NL operated as separate legal entities from 1901 and 1876 respectively, until 2000, when they were merged into a single organization known as Major League Baseball. After cooperating but remaining legally separate entities since 1903, in 2000 the leagues merged into a single organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball. The organization also oversees minor league baseball leagues, which comprise about 240 teams affiliated with the major-league clubs. With the World Baseball Softball Confederation, MLB manages the international World Baseball Classic tournament.
Baseball's first professional team was founded in Cincinnati in 1869. The first few decades of professional baseball were characterized by rivalries between leagues and by players who often jumped from one team or league to another. The period before 1920 in baseball was known as the dead-ball era; players rarely hit home runs during this time. Baseball survived a conspiracy to fix the 1919 World Series, which came to be known as the Black Sox Scandal. The sport rose in popularity in the 1920s, and survived potential downturns during the Great Depression and World War II. Shortly after the war, baseball's color barrier was broken by Jackie Robinson.
MLB Tonight is the signature program that airs on MLB Network and is simulcast on MLB Network Radio. The show offers complete coverage of all Major League Baseball games from 6pm ET till 1am ET during the regular season, and gives news from all 30 MLB teams during the offseason. It is taped live in Studio 3 of the MLB Network facility in Secaucus, New Jersey, but also features segments taped in Studio 42. The program aired from the beginning of Spring Training to the end of the World Series and was replaced in the offseason by Hot Stove, until it started to air in the offseason, and Hot Stove became MLB Network's weekday morning show. The show won the Sports Emmy Award for best Daily Outstanding Studio Show for 2010, 2011 and 2012.
MLB Tonight airs seven days per week, starting at 6 P.M. ET on weekdays until the last MLB game of the night has ended. MLB Tonight is followed by Quick Pitch, MLB Network's highlights show of record.
On Saturdays, the show airs before and/or after the Saturday Night Baseball game. In 2012, the Sunday edition of MLB Tonight was expanded to air from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. ET.

INFO While freelancing at SF's finest Autofuss, Munkowitz conceived and directed this pitch for the mighty Fox Sports MLB package. The concept, dubbed Kinetic Theory, explores the motion and dynamics of baseball, using imagery inspired by Time Manipulation, the Science of Optics, and Data Imaging Techniques including Projections and Prismatic Aberrations. The execution was a blend of these imaging techniques while being supplemented by delicate, modern design elements... B-ROLL STYLEFRAMES Info: Perhaps the most important aspect of the package was the B-Roll delivered to FOX Sports to allow them to make promotional edits on their own within their usual small production timeframes.. The plan was to have Autofuss prepare an easily executable toolkit that could simulate the visual of baseb...

MLB Network came to us already in development on a title Open for there much watched daily news show MLB Tonight. Their own initial efforts had made it clear they needed some extra horsepower to achieve what they were going for in the short production schedule leading up to the preseason. The concept was to take current baseball heroes and place them in their team’s city AND create a seamless edit venturing from one city connected to the next. A tall order - but one our designers were excited to tackle.
[Intro:]
Ain't nothing new nigga, just something new
[Verse 1:]
I never trust faith with my trust funds
I keep it in a safe place nigga, lump sum
Camera surveillance a bunch of fucking stun guns
I'm a snare to the drum, burum-bum-bum
Her virgin homicide I show her how we drum-a-drum
She doesn't come for me, the bitch only say she come for fun
What's up hunny bun, wanna feel your tummy rum?
Rumbling in a ring with pills of fucking numb
Your system is my fucking dick-dom
Feel the friction of my children with down syndrome
I'm rehearsin' for my funeral, triple six are the numerals
MellowHype musical talking to wolves like Dolittle
Think with a migraine like a fucking eye strain
Break bottles of champagne on a fucking biplane
If it doesn't add up then ask the students my name
I'm fucking Einstein, I'm sane
[Hook:]
Knock, knock! Delivery, I'm the rhetorician
Body decomposition, rippin' through your rhythms
I suggest you stop and listen to this non-prescription
Fuck your contradiction, here's my composition
[Verse 2:]
Leprechaun, hexagon, transform Decepticon
Rasputin, I'm half mutant, fucked financially, cash students
I'm too pursuant to over-do shit, super fluent
My flow is overheated it needs coolin' shit
Fuck being poor and return to the school and shoot it up
While I shoot it like a porno bitch with cool whip
I dive scuba, barracuda, shark water in Cuba
Chicken head of the sea, but I don't fuckin' eat tuna
I sneak her in my room like Puma
My bedroom rules Jerusalem and I'm Judah, suck on my messiah
Or die and cry a fire, it's true, so is the curse of lying
So is Mrs. Doubtfire, fat bitches and dope beats
Are what my niggas acquire, if you're broke, get the cash
Bitch I'm dope, do the math, triple six slipping through a golden flask
All hail Mr. Mustard Gas, I ain't gay but I'm a fuckin' ass
[Hook:]
Knock, knock! Delivery, I'm the rhetorician
Body decomposition, rippin' through your rhythms
I suggest you stop and listen to this non-prescription
