ASX aspirant Propel Funeral Partners' non-deal roadshow is set to get under way on Monday, Street Talk can reveal.

It is understood Bell Potter Securities has booked some 25 fund managers to meet Propel's management, led by managing director and co-founder Albin Kurti, in Sydney and Melbourne next week.

Propel hired Bells in May to explore an initial public offering as it seeks to raise further growth capital and consolidate the trans-tasman funeral and cremation industry.

It is understood InvoCare - the $1.5 billion ASX-listed funeral sector player - will be the key comparable.

Propel is the second largest funeral services provider in Australia and New Zealand with 68 properties.

Its board is chaired by Brian Scullin and includes Naomi Edwards, former Freehills partner Jonathan Trollip and Fraser Henderson.
