  1. UPDATE: It’s long-overdue, but it appears that TriCare has listened and acted. They have appointed a demolition firm and, like all local residents, I’m looking forward to seeing the derelict Salvin Park Nursing Home site cleared and cleaned-up.

UPDATE RE: OLD SALVIN PARK NURSING HOME. After collecting around 1,500 signatures in the last two days demanding action on this derelict site, this morning I received the following letter from TriCare. In the meantime, Council will continue to pursue all legal compliance avenues.

I’ve had a gut-full of the lack of action on this derelict & dangerous eyesore. Last year, the owners of this site, TriCare, committed in writing that demolition of the derelict buildings would kick-off in early 2018. I’m yet to see any evidence that this is going to happen.

Lol. So the Greens now think they own the colour. When are they going to admit that they are far more red than they are green? 🍉🍉🍉

7 yrs ago today, the amazing people of Brisbane came out in force to form a volunteer Mud Army after the 2011 Flood. This was a uniquely Brisbane response to those in need. Let’s to celebrate the caring, generous Spirit of Brisbane & make sure we never lose it!

Fantastic to see listing Council’s a Queensland ‘Must Do’. With more than 2.2 million rides taken so far, and an average of 2,000+ trips being taken every day, more and more people are having a spin. Now, let’s make those helmets optional!

Fantastic to see that Brisbane’s top spots for koalas are all areas where Council has invested heavily in purchasing & protecting bushland, inc. Burbank, Whites Hill, Toohey Forest, Carindale & Mansfield along Bulimba Crk 🐨🌳

Getting more people on buses, trains and ferries is critical in the fight against congestion & high fares have consistently been raised a key concern. Simple question: Does this government want more people on PT or not? (2/2)
