Peter Henry Fonda (born February 23, 1940) is an American actor. He is the son of Henry Fonda, brother of Jane Fonda, and father of Bridget and Justin Fonda (by first wife Susan Brewer, stepdaughter of Noah Dietrich). Fonda is an icon of the counterculture of the 1960s.
Fonda was born in New York City, the only son of actor Henry Fonda and his wife Frances Ford Seymour; he is the younger brother of actress Jane Fonda. He and Jane had a maternal half-sister, Frances de Villers Brokaw (1931-2008), from their mother's first marriage. Their mother committed suicide in a mental hospital when Peter, her youngest, was ten.
On his eleventh birthday, he accidentally shot himself in the stomach and nearly died. He went to Nainital and stayed for a few months for recovery. Years later, he referred to this incident while with John Lennon and George Harrison and taking LSD. He said, "I know what it's like to be dead." This inspired The Beatles' song "She Said She Said".
Early on, Fonda studied acting in Omaha, Nebraska, his father's home town. While attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Fonda joined the Omaha Community Playhouse, where many actors (including his father and Marlon Brando) had begun their careers.
Actors: Emily Booth (actress), Jonathan Ross (actor), Robert Black (actor), Eileen Daly (actress), David Warbeck (actor), Mark Lamarr (actor), Alex Chandon (writer), Alex Chandon (actor), Alex Chandon (director), Jason Moola (actor), Shend (actor), Howard J. Ford (actor), Geraldine Geraghty (producer), Geraldine Geraghty (actress), François Evans (composer),
Plot: This is the story of the beautiful young Pervirella. Set in the mythical English land of Condon, the grotesque, power-mad Queen Victoria builds a wall around the country and establishes a "Monarchy of Terror." Intellectuals and "pervs" are prosecuted and killed, or driven underground to form the "Cult of Perv." Their leader, the Demon Nanny gives birth to a possible savior, then dies. The infant Pervirella grows to maturity with supernatural speed and shows amazing abilities, including raging nymphomania whenever her magical necklace is removed. Pervirella is sought by various rebels, agents of Victoria, the Cult of Perv, and a trio of witches. Eventually she teams up with Amicus Reilly, a James Bond spoof played to stiff, campy perfection by the late David Warbeck. Wild adventures ensue!

Westerns lost their appeal in the seventies with the emergence of a younger audience, who were in the process of revising long held legends of the American west. A number of Westerns made in the seventies, are, as a result, definitely not conventional re-tellings of heroism and the taming of the frontier. Instead, they make a new space for themselves which allows little room for the glorification of violence, the genocide of the American Indian, stultifying gender roles, or a style of myth-making that has little to do with the reality of a hard scrabble life lived on the borders of civilisation. "The Hired Hand" directed by and starring Peter Fonda, is a perfect and lovely example of this.

New Hollywood had arrived with Bonnie and Clyde in 1967, and already by 1968 it was changing how Hollywood thought and acted. The student film scene was getting ready to explode, and it knew it. The details on when this documentary, The New Cinema, were made are a little vague. IMDb lists it as 1968, but it contains clips from Easy Rider, which was released in 1969. It's possible it had early access, especially given the inclusion of interviews with Peter Fonda; but regardless it did a remarkable job of getting ...
You’ll be surprised to learn that Vernon Courtland Johnson—the man who created some of the toughest, coolest, most awe-inspiring-est skate graphics at the dawn of modern skateboarding—is something of a hippie. In fact, he’s more than a hippie—he’s a goddamn draft-dodging, haircut-evading, positive-vibe-spreading beatnik. That’s neither here nor there, and has nothing to do with the interview in issue 45, but we thought we better warn you before you read it and wonder if Mike Giant (the interviewee) didn’t converse with Peter Fonda circa 1967 by accident. We've got issue 45 up for pre-sale right now. Go on, treat yourself to a copy. http://shop.monsterchildren.com/products/issue-45 Directed and filmed by Ryan Allan
