This is just hilarious on so many levels. Of course they are talking about penalties next, but as I explain they are going to have to implement some HEAVY penalties if they want to force these companies to change their behavior. Responding to government pressure, big Japanese companies, like Toyota, Hitachi and Panasonic, have announced the most generous pay raises in years. It is seen as a victory for the Tokyo government's efforts to kick-start a durable recovery and end deflation - that is where people put off spending as they believe prices will fall further. There are already 1650 companies and a lot has been inquiring about the transfer. This could easily lead as high as 200 – 300 companies. Most of the companies concern Information Technology (IT) and some are automotive part builders. Recently, Shimano just opened a 1.2 Billion PHP plant in Batangas. The continuing dispute between Japan and China over the ownership of the Senkaku Islands, known as Diaoyu in Chinese, is causing worries among Japanese businesses concerning their future Chinese plans. Many of Japan's larger dispatch companies have very corrupt business practices which abuse their employees lack of knowledge about Japan when they arrive. I focus specifically on the 29.5 hr work week that allows companies to circumvent helping their employees with health insurance. This is only the tip of the iceberg and there are many other examples. Allow me to say as well, which will echo my sentiment in the video itself, this is not a dream crusher video. I have made this hoping to educate and empower people, and to create more awareness of an issue that is plaguing English teaching dispatch companies in Japan. I want accountability and change, nothing more nothing less. Knowle...

The analysis is structured around four principal themes, namely the role of shareholders, the role of the main bank, the role of employees, and the role of senior management in the governance of these companies. The book suggests that a system of reciprocal responsibilities, obligations, and trust within and between companies act as an important means by which most Japanese companies are governed.

Japanese companies have been notorious for their dismal Return on Equity (ROE) compared to their western piers. ROE at Japanese companies averaged roughly 6% over the past decade whereas companies in the U.S. and Europe averaged above 13%. We believe that Japanese companies are finally paying attention and taking ...
