चितई गोलू देवता मंदिर
चितई में गोलू देवता का मंदिर स्थित है। यह मंदिर अल्मोड़ा से छह किलोमीटर दूर है। इन्हें न्याय का प्रतीक माना जाता है। इनके बारे में यह मान्यता है कि जिसको कहीं पर भी न्याय नहीं मिले वो इनके दरबार में अर्जी लगाये तो उससे तुरन्त न्याय मिल जाता है।
सड़क से चंद कदमों की दूरी पर ही गोलू देवता का भव्य मंदिर बना हुआ है। मंदिर परिसर में हरे-भरे पेड़, टंगी हुई असंख्य छोटी-बड़ी घंटियां और अर्जियां लोगों को आकर्षित करती हैं।

Anzen Chitai (安全地帯, literally "Safety Zone") is a Japanese rock band, formed in 1973 by five musicians in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan. It debuted in 1982 in Tokyo, Japan. They became one of Japan's most successful rock bands in the 1980s.

1970s: Beginnings
Formed in 1973 as the high-school garage band Invader in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, its original members included vocalist Koji Tamaki, guitarist Yutaka Takezawa and guitarist/keyboardist Toshiya Takezawa, who is also Yutaka's brother. Later, in late 1973, Koji's brother and drummer, Kazuyoshi Tamaki and bassist Takahiro Miyashita joined. In 1977, the band changed its name to Anzen Chitai ("Safety Zone"), and Kazuyoshi Tamaki left the group to be replaced by Ichiji Ohira. By December 1977, Anzen Chitai merged with another band, the Haruyoshi Rokudo Band (六土開正バンド, Rokudō Haruyoshi Bando), and added three more members: bassist Haruyoshi Rokudo, guitarist Wataru Yahagi, and drummer Yuji Tanaka. By this point, they had expanded to an eight-member group. Within the next three years, Toshiya Takezawa and Takahiro Miyashita left. Yuji Tanaka also left at this point.

Golu Devata
Golu Devata or Lord Golu (Hindi: गॊलू दॆवता) is the legendary mythological and historical God of the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand state of India and is their deity.
The Golu Devta Chitai, temple is about 4 km from the main gate of Binsar wildlife sanctuary & about 10 km. from Almora.
Origin
Golu Devata is thought to be as an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav (Shiva), and is worshipped all over the region and regarded as the dispenser of justice by the devotees with extreme faith.
Historically, he is considered as the brave son and General of Katyuri king, Jhal Rai and his mother was Kalinka, and his grandfather was Hal Rai and great-grandfather was Hal Rai. Historically the origin of Golu Devata is accepted at Champawat. His mother Kalinka is believed to be the sister of two other local deities Harishchand Devjyun (the divine spirit of Raja Harish of the Chands) and Sem Devjyun and both these deities are regarded as uncles of Lord Golu.
Another legend suggests that he was a General in the army of Chand king, Baz Bahadur (1638–78), and died displaying exemplary valour at war, the temple at Chitai was erected in his honour, 8 km from Almora city.

The Golu Devta Chitai, temple is about 4 km from the main gate of Binsar wildlife sanctuary & about 10 km. from Almora. Novel on Goludev story can read -"Sanyasi-Yodha" writer Kaustubh anand chandola. Golu Devata is thought to be as an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav (Shiva), and is worshipped all over the region and regarded as the dispenser of justice by the devotees with extreme faith. Historically, he is considered as the brave son and General of Katyuri king, Jhal Rai and his mother was Kalinka, and his grandfather was Hal Rai and great-grandfather was Hal Rai. Historically the origin of Golu Devata is accepted at Champawat. His mother Kalinka is believed to be the sister of two other local deities Harishchand Devjyun (the divine spirit of Raja Harish of the Chands) and Sem Devjyun and both these deities are regarded as uncles of Lord Golu. Golu devta is known as God of justice and prayed with great pride and enthusiasm. Golu Devta is offered with White Cloths, white pagari and white shaal. There are many temples of Golu Devata in Kumaun, and the most popular are at Chitai, Champawat, Ghorakhal. It is popular belief that Golu Devta dispenses quick justice to the devotee. Devotees in turn offer bells and sacrifice animals after the fulfillment of their wishes. Thousands of bells of every size can be seen hanging over the temple premises. Many devotees file a lot of written petitions daily, which are received by the temple. Golu Devata
Golu Devata or Lord Golu ( गॊलू दॆवता) is the legendary mythological and historical God of the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand state of India and is their deity.
The Golu Devta Chitai, temple is about 4 km from the main gate of Binsar wildlife sanctuary & about 10 km. from Almora. Novel on Goludev story can read -"Sanyasi-Yodha" writer Kaustubh anand chandola.
Golu Devata is thought to be as an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav (Shiva), and is worshipped all over the region and regarded as the dispenser of justice by the devotees with extreme faith.
Historically, he is considered as the brave son and General of Katyuri king, Jhal Rai and his mother was Kalinka, and his grandfather was Hal Rai and great-grandfather was Hal Rai. Historically the origin of Golu Devata is accepted at Champawat. His mother Kalinka is believed to be the sister of two other local deities Harishchand Devjyun (the divine spirit of Raja Harish of the Chands) and Sem Devjyun and both these deities are regarded as uncles of Lord Golu.
Golu devta is known as God of justice and prayed with great pride and enthusiasm. Golu Devta is offered with White Cloths, white pagari and white shaal.
There are many temples of Golu Devata in Kumaun, and the most popular are at Chitai, Champawat, Ghorakhal. It is popular belief that Golu Devta dispenses quick justice to the devotee.
Devotees in turn offer bells and sacrifice animals after the fulfillment of their wishes. Thousands of bells of every size can be seen hanging over the temple premises. Many devotees file a lot of written petitions daily, which are received by the temple.

A great place to relax and meet some locals over a beer, takoyaki or yakitori skewer. There's lots of Yokocho dotted all over Tokyo, each with it's own particular style and atmosphere, mostly down to the neighbourhood itself. You'll typically find all eateries are fairly cheap and almost exclusively Japanese style cusine, like yakitori, yakiniku, grilled fish, and some street food favourites like takoyaki.
Nonbei Yokocho in Shibuya, a series of tiny bars sandwiched together just next to the rail tracks - about 2 mins walk from the famous Hachiko meeting spot.
Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, a busy spot with all kinds of eateries and patrons.
Sanchoku Inshokugai in Yurakucho, a down to earth and old fashioned feel tucked away just next to the glitzy and expensive Ginza district.

During our cruise we enjoy an excursion to the pilgrimage town of Vézelay, one of Burgundy’s most famous treasures with the Romanesque Basilica of St Mary Magdalene, craft shops and fine views of the surrounding countryside.
Vézelay is an historic hilltop town in the Cure Valley and a Christian shrine. It was the site of the Call to the Second Crusade by St-Bernard in 1146. During the Middle Ages it was a major pilgrimage site and a special stop on the way to Compostella. Pilgrims still stop here on their way to St-Jacques-de-Compostel.
The imposing Roman Basilica of Ste-Madeleine (12th - 13th century) is perched high above the “eternal hill”. The interior, with its immense Christ in Glory, is one of the greatest Romanesque works of art in the west.
What is hotel barging?
Despite the growing popularity of cruising, especiallly on large river vessels, hotel barging is still a little known niche concept. Most hotel barges started life as cargo vessels but have since been painstakingly converted to offer luxury boutique accommodation for small groups of up to 20 passengers.
This is cruising, but in a very different style to ships plying the big rivers or oceans. The pace is slow, with a 6 day cruise covering maybe just 50 miles along a rural canal. Passengers can walk or bike the towpaths as their floating hotel glides gently along. Guests enjoy an intimate atmosphere, high levels of personal service and immersion into the culture, history and gastronomy of regions of Europe such as Burgundy, the Midi, or the Italian Veneto.

BINSAR is 9KM trekking /walk on the ridge from PEETHSAIN OR you can steep climb approx. 6 KM from CHOUND.
(PEETHSAIN is known for freedom fighter “Veer Chandra Singh Garwali”. )
We chose 9 km trekking coz on way to BINSAR there is BHARAM DHUNGI and CHHAU CHAURI and we wanted to feel the rustic atmosphere around.
This is a story of a place where Faith, love and spirituality becomes one.

BINSAR is 9KM trekking /walk on the ridge from PEETHSAIN OR you can steep climb approx. 6 KM from CHOUND.
(PEETHSAIN is known for freedom fighter “Veer Chandra Singh Garwali”. )
We chose 9 km trekking coz on way to BINSAR there is BHARAM DHUNGI and CHHAU CHAURI and we wanted to feel the rustic atmosphere around.
This is a story of a place where Faith, love and spirituality becomes one.
