Good night!
That was quite an enjoyable shift, actually. Adelaide looked like a magnificent event, topped off by a sensational finish. Last minute tries by Kyle Feldt seem to be his stock in trade and how good was it to see Benji Marshall terrorising a defence again? I'll be writing about the crowds too in Monday's Set Of Six. As some of you might be aware, I've got a book coming out soon. You can read about it (and order it, if you must) here
Fulltime at Adelaide Oval: SYDNEY ROOSTERS 25 MELBOURNE 24 in golden point time
A MITCHELL Pearce field goal has give Sydney Roosters an amazing 25-24 overtime victory against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.
Melbourne, with the big three of Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk being rested, looked safe with nine minutes to go when they led 24-12 on the back of some outstanding rookie performances.
But the comeback began with winger Daniel Tupou's try. Fullback Michael Gordon had to convert this from one touchline, and Blake Ferguson's 79th minute try from the other, in order to invoke extra time.
The winning point came from 40 metres out and a difficult angle.
COMMENT: Still augers better for the future of the losers than the winners.
Heard the entertainment at the @NRL in Adelaide was pretty good. Still, nothing compares to the time Chubby Checker played at the Rams. pic.twitter.com/S0rkLnTLb5

84 min: Pearce field goal
Mitchell Pearce has made up for the disappointment of NSW's Origin defeat by landing an overtime field goal to give Sydney Roosters victory over Melbourne at Adelaide Oval. Pearce was about 40 metres out and in front when he made the winning strike.Sydney Roosters 25-24.

End of regulation time at Adelaide Oval: SYDNEY ROOSTERS 24 MELBOURNE 24
SYDNEY Roosters have staged a gutsy comeback to send their match against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval into golden point extra time.
Centre Blake Ferguson scored off Luke Keary's kick with just over a minute left in regulation time, leaving it to Michael Gordon to tie the match with a sideline conversion. For most of the 80 minutes, the Roosters were outclassed by an inexperienced Storm team. Two converted tries in the final eight minutes from the Roosters gave them a chance.'This isn't over yet!#NRLRoostersStorm #NRL pic.twitter.com/CMYOm0w9he

79 min: Ferguson try, Gordon goal
And are we headed for golden point. Luke Keary kicks for Blake Ferguson with less than two minutes left and Ferguson holds off Josh Addo-Carr to score. Michael Gordon to tie up the game ... It's there! 24-24.

72 min: Tupou try, Gordom goal
Daniel Tupou finds his way over in the left corner; Connor Watson was very involved. Michael Gordon is able to convert from the sidelines. Melbourne 24-18.

68 min: Hughes try
Young Jahrome Hughes finally gets his try after the Bunker chalked off one earlier. He just takes on the defence from close range and bustles his way over. The crowd is a magnificent 21,492. Munster is unable to convert. Melbourne 24-12.

60 min: Mitchell try, Gordon goal
A nicely-worked left-side move from the Roosters, with Luke Keary passing to Daniel Tupou and centre Latrell Mitchell backing up inside to dot down for an important Roosters try. It's hard to see them winning this but you never know. Michael Gordon's conversion is good! The Roosters almost score again from the resumption of play. Mark Nicholls has failed a HIH test and won't be back. Melbourne 20-12.

51 min: Vunivalu try
Melbourne's Fiji international Suiliasi Vunivalu scores a remarkable try on the right wing in which his entire body was outside the field of play but he still gets the ball down. It goes to the Bunker and there is insufficent evidence to rule it out, even thought there was a hint of the right hand into touch. Something very special, that. Munster can't land the conversion. Melbourne 20-6.
How'd he do that?!#NRLRoostersStorm#NRL pic.twitter.com/Ng6CiSJI6a

44 min: Hughes NO TRY
The Storm are over again after the Roosters let a kick bounce at the back. But alas, no, the Bunker says at least one chaser was off-side. Tohu Haris has a medial ligament injury but will be back.Melbourne 16-12.

41 min: Addo-Carr try
A wonderful cut-out pass from Cameron Munster and Addo-Carr launches himself into the night sky to touch down just inside the corner-post. Great footy all around. Cameron Munster is unable to convert. Melbourne 16-6.

Halftime at Adelaide Oval: MELBOURNE 12 SYDNEY ROOSTERS 6
MELBOURNE'S emerging talent is enjoying another red letter night as they lead a strong Sydney Roosters line-up by six at halftime at Adelaide Oval.
The tricolours scored first and looked the better side in the opening stages but an intercept from Storm winger Josh Addo-Carr changed momentum and the prodigy Brodie Croft finished off a sweeping movement almost from the restart of play.
A week after the golden point win against North Queensland, the Storm's back-up brigade is again covering itself in glory.
COMMENT: It's actually a worry for the Roosters, with the side they have out there, that they would struggle against such an understrength Melbourne team.

26 min: Croft try, Munster goal
Brodie Croft has a try now, almost from the kick-off. He just trailed down the middle and finished off flopping between the posts. Cameron Munster's conversion is a simple one. Melbourne 12-6.

24 min: Addo-Carr try, Munster goal
Mebourne winger Josh Addo-Carr snatches an Aiden Guerra pass out of the air and races 90 minutes, singeing he grass as he goes, to score his side's first try. It's his 10th touchdown of the year. Huge crowd, by the looks. I think we can see a pattern here: play games in Sydney and no-one goes. Play them elsewhere and there is still a novelty factor. Munster converts. 6-6.

11 min: Aubusson try, Gordon goal

Fulltime at GIO Stadium: BRISBANE 30 CANBERRA 20
BRISBANE have moved into the NRL's top two with a 10-point win in Canberra.
It was a back-and-forth contest in which Benji Marshall starred for the Broncos. Second rower Matt Gillett posted a brace of tries, his second in the final minute. The Raiders held a narrow halftime advantage and there is little doubt Marshall was the difference,
The Broncos will be without stars Darius Boyd and Anthony Milford for an extended period.
COMMENT: Like North Queensland in the earlier game, the Broncos were missing some huge names and still managed to eke out a win
80 min: Gillett try, Kahu goal
And Matt Gillett scores his 51st top grade try right on fulltime as Brisbane move into the top two. Jordan Kahu converts. Brisbane 30-20.
