Will Welch is editor-in-chief of GQ Style, GQ’s quarterly fashion magazine and website.

Welch joined GQ in May 2007 as an associate editor covering fashion, design, art, and music. He was promoted to senior editor in 2012 and style editor in 2014, before becoming GQ Style’s first E.I.C. in December 2015. In nearly nine years on the fashion beat for GQ, Welch spearheaded the publication’s annual April Style Bible issue, its list of The 20 Most Stylish Men Alive, as well its new franchise The GQ 100 — a ranking of the 100 best men’s stores in America. Welch has covered the collections in Milan, Paris, and New York. He has interviewed fashion-world luminaries including Ralph Lauren, Christopher Bailey, Kim Jones, Tom Ford, Michael Kors, Thom Browne, Neil Barrett, Kanye West, and many more. He has captained the magazine’s cover shoots with Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Drake, and Beyoncé, and also serves as the producer and host of GQ.com’s weekly fashion video series. Prior to joining GQ, Welch spent four years at the music, fashion, and lifestyle magazine The Fader, where he was deputy editor.

Welch graduated from Columbia University.

Howard Mittman

Chief Business Officer

Howard Mittman is the chief business officer of GQ, GQ Style, Golf Digest, Golf World, Pitchfork, and the Wired Media Group, which includes Ars Technica, Backchannel, and WIRED.

Most recently, Mittman served as chief revenue officer and publisher of GQ and GQ Style. Under his leadership, GQ was named to the Adweek Hot List for three consecutive years, and in 2014, Mittman was recognized as Advertising Age’s Publisher of the Year.

In his three years at the helm of GQ, Mittman successfully launched the luxury quarterly print publication GQ Style, created the coveted GQ Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles, and established the invitation-only private club The Gent in New York City. Also, under Mittman, GQ’s traffc doubled and web and video revenue more than tripled.

Before taking over at GQ, Mittman was vice president and publisher of WIRED, which under his leadership became the first Condé Nast brand to derive half of its revenue from digital offerings. While there, he oversaw the launch of many successful brand extensions, including WIRED Business Conference, WIRED Café at Comic-Con, and WIRED Data | Life Conference. Mittman also initiated and led the development of WIRED’s groundbreaking iPad app.

Prior to joining Condé Nast, Mittman served as acting publisher for Time Inc.’s Popular Science. He also held positions at New York magazine, Mutual Funds, Financial Planning magazine and Sanford C. Bernstein and Co.

Mittman was named to the Crain’s New York Business 40 Under 40 list in 2011, appointed to the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement in 2012, recognized as Condé Nast Publisher of the Year in 2012, and elected to the Media Industry News Hall of Fame in 2016.

Mittman is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He currently resides in New York City with his wife and two sons.
