January 13th sees Riva Starr’s acclaimed Snatch! Records return with the third installment of their popular compilation series, entitled ‘In Dubb Vol.3’, ahead of their upcoming showcase at Mexico’s The BPM Festival at Playa del Carmen’s Salon Salsanera Raices on January 11th.

Following their sold-out party during 2016’s edition of the festival, Riva Starr and Snatch! return to the prestigious event once again, this time seeing Starr headline alongside Spain’s Dennis Cruz, Germany’s rising House talent Emanuel Satie, Italy’s dynamic duo Paul C & Paolo Martini and Miky J.

To coincide with their showcase, Starr has meticulously handpicked 15 exclusive tracks – from some of Snatch! Records most promising artists – to appear on their forthcoming compilation, which aims to provide a taster of what people can expect to hear at their highly anticipated event plus reflect the ‘dubbier’ side of the imprint.

Nico Cabeza’s excellent deep-groover ‘Heavy Body’ kicks off the release, and makes way for further highlights such as Joe Red and Kostha’s pounding Tech-House roller ‘Vladimir’Click Click & DJ Glen’s pulsating synth-driven ‘Birdhain’, the tribal-tinged ‘At The Club’ by A.S.R and Ruben Mandolini’s gorgeously soulful House number, ‘Sweet As The Sun’.

In addition, the compilation also boasts a fine array of dancefloor-ready cuts from Italian artists Riky Ild, Squicciarini and Roberto Surace, America’s Dateless, Tech-House talent DJ Fronter, DJ/producer Franz Costa, dynamic duo AleVtina & Rich Hila, Canada’s Daniel Dubb & Jonathan Rosa plus the UK’s Muirdel and Allen (Italy) & Filix.

Overall, ‘In Dubb Vol.3 perfectly highlights the kind of talent that can be found on one of Dance music’s most celebrated House labels, providing an excellent soundtrack to set the tone for what promises be an exceptional showcase event from Starr and his team in Mexico.

‘In Dubb Vol.3’ is available via Beatport on January 13th and the rest of the world two weeks later.

Di Chiara Brothers and Stefano Esposito – Lost In Chicago EP

unnamed-1

30th December sees dynamic duo Di Chiara Brothers team up with fellow Italian Stefano Esposito to release their collaborative EP, ‘Lost In Chicago’, distributed via Mar-T’s celebrated imprint, Wow! Recordings.

Although this is the first time either act have released on Mar-T’s label, both have previously produced on some of Dance music’s most established imprints, with the Di Chiara Brothers releasing on Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records, Kerri Chandler’s Madtech Records and Elrow’s Elrow Music, whilst Stefano Esposito has also put music out on Madtech Records, as well as Kisk’s Apparel Music and Definition & Def:Play’s Definition:Music amongst others.

Kicking off proceedings is the EP’s title track, ‘Lost In Chicago’, leading with a thumping Jackin’ House rhythm that remains throughout the six-minute number, as a selection of old-skool synth stabs and vocal snippets are expertly introduced.

‘Materia’
follows, and once again the pair utilise the euphoric, funk-driven style of Chicago House, with the steady four-to-the-floor groove perfectly accompanied by soulful vocals, pulsating synths and a killer selection of cymbals and other percussive elements.

Closing this excellent three-track EP is Italy’s acclaimed DJ/producer Flashmob’s remix of ‘Materia’, transforming the track into a dazzling Tech House workout, stripping-away some of the original’s up-tempo layers and replacing them with warm synths and various build effects.
