This channel is certainly enjoying some heavyweight acclaim at the moment, and one of its more vocal supporters gets the honour of curating today’s schedules. As we know, when Vic gets interested in something, he gets really interested in it, so he’s surely the perfect person to rummage through the archives. Perhaps surprisingly there’s not so much comedy as Vic’s real favourites are kitchen sink dramas, hence Saturday Night And Sunday Morning and Woman In A Dressing Gown, while we’re also interested to see Villain, if only because it was the film BBC1 interrupted to announce the start of the Gulf War, fact fans. And in between all the films Vic will be popping up to talk about his picks and his love for British cinema in general, so it all sounds great fun, even if he hasn’t picked any episodes of Runaround.
