BET’s “Being Mary Jane” has cast Sonia Rockwell for a guest starring role in Season 4.

Rockwell will play Emma, a former weather girl turned correspondent who will work alongside Gabrielle Union’s Mary Jane. Rockwell has previously appeared on CBS’ “MacGyver,” “Scandal,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “Drop Dead Diva.” She is repped by Sol Talent and Media Artists Group.

Harvey Atkin, 'Cagney & Lacey' and 'Meatballs' Actor, Dies at 74

Harvey Atkin, best known for playing staff sergeant captain Ronald Coleman on Cagney and Lacey and Judge Ridenour on the NBC crime drama Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, has died. He was 74.

His longtime agent Larry Goldhar on Tuesday announced that Atkin died Monday night in Toronto after a long illness. "It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved friend, husband, father and grandfather, Harvey, passed away peacefully last night following his battle with cancer," Goldhar said in a statement.

Universal Cable Developing Series With Catherine Hardwicke, Dan Harmon

Universal Cable Productions (UCP) has unveiled its annual development slate, with this year’s projects including potential series from “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke and “Rick & Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon.

Hardwicke will executive produce an adaptation of the best-selling book series “The Raven Cycle” by author Maggie Stiefvater for Syfy. Based on the four urban fantasy novels of the same name, “The Raven Cycle” tells the story of seventeen year old Blue Sargent who becomes involved with a group of four privileged private school boys on a quest to find a source of mythical and mysterious power hidden deep in rural Virginia. Michael London of Groundswell Productions will executive produce alongside showrunner and writer Andrew Miller. Stiefvater will serve as co-executive producer. Hardwicke is also attached to direct the pilot.

Mariah Carey to Executive Produce TV Show Based on Her Life

Ratings: ‘The Bachelorette’ Hits Season-High Viewership With Hometown Dates Round

ABC and NBC tied atop the advertiser-coveted Nielsen ratings demographic on Monday, with the “American Ninja Warrior” network finishing first among total viewers.

That wasn’t “The Bachelorette’s” fault, however: Rachel Lindsay’s hometown dates round set a new season-high among overall viewers. Unfortunately, its “Battle of the Network Stars” rerun at 10 ruined the Disney network’s primetime averages.
