Alpine Inn is a popular hotel near Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center. This review features room photos, plus thoughts on common areas and whether this is a good place to stay during your Disneyland Resort vacation.

Jammu Kashmir Tourism Development Corporaion (JKTDC) Hotel Alpine at Patnitop Jammu. This is one of the best hotels at Patnitop. Rooms are large with wall to wall carpet. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Have Restaurant and Bar. Food quality is good. Though it is a Jammu Kashmir Government's hotel still the service is good. We had very enjoying and comfortable stay at this hotel during May, 2014.

Vom Althergebrachten über die Modern Art, in eine völlig neue Welt. Hier werden Träume war, und das wahrlich. Bereits beim Betreten des 2008 neu erbauten Hotels verspürt man die einzigartige Atmosphäre. Mit viel, ja wirklich sehr viel Liebe zum Detail wurde hier gearbeitet. Im ganzen Hotel sind Schmuckstücke aus Holz, von den Wurzeltischen über die ausgefallenen Holzsessel, eben Modern Art auf Pinzgaurisch. Das ganze Haus wird zu einem Blickfang und man freut sich wenn man auf die nächste Besonderheit stößt.
Mit dem Alpine Palace ist der Gipfel an Komfort, Luxus, Wellnessgefühlen und Urlaubsgenüssen erklommen.

This old hotel-inn located in an alpine region of Switzerland,
lies abandoned.
Why? I'm not sure - maybe the facilities were not up to the now expected norm. I myself, think I could forego a few 21st century comforts, just to mellow in an inn that's nearly 200 years old...
what do you think?

Hotel
A hotel is an establishment that provides lodging paid on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a basic bed and storage for clothing, to luxury features like en-suite bathrooms. Larger hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre, childcare, conference facilities and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In the United Kingdom, a hotel is required by law to serve food and drinks to all guests within certain stated hours. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a minimized amount of room space and shared facilities.
The precursor to the modern hotel was the inn of medieval Europe. For a period of about 200 years from the mid-17th century, coaching inns served as a place for lodging for coach travelers. Inns began to cater for richer clients in the mid-18th century. One of the first hotels in a modern sense was opened in Exeter in 1768. Hotels proliferated throughout Western Europe and North America in the 19th century, and luxury hotels began to spring up in the later part of the century.

Alpine Hotel
The Alpine Hotel dates from 1914 and was built as a home of a British tea planter. Later it was bought by the Dodampa Gamage family, who rented out the rooms to visitors. Now a hotel, it retains the old colonial charms and its architecture is one of the few lasting proofs of the bygone British Era.
The hotel has 30 rooms, a restaurant, billards room, a bar and two lounges and a coffee shop.
In 2006 the Alpine Hotel won the 'Star Award' for the best performing anthropometry in the Central Province under the large scale service sector.
Location
The hotel is situated a kilometere away from Nuwara Eliya, facing the town hall and the Nuwara Eliya Racecourse, on the Main Road towards Badulla.

Bad Gastein
Bad Gastein (formerly Badgastein) is a spa town in the district of St. Johann im Pongau, in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Picturesquely situated in a high valley of the Hohe Tauern mountain range, it is known for the Gastein Waterfall and a variety of Belle Époque hotel buildings.
Geography
Bad Gastein is located in the historic Pongau region, the municipal area of about 171 square kilometres (66 sq mi) is the largest in St. Johann im Pongau District. It stretches along the upper Gastein Valley following the course of the Gastein Ache creek, a right tributary of the Salzach river. The valley separates the Hohe Tauern Ankogel Group in the east from the Goldberg Group in the west.
The town centre is located at the Gastein Falls, about 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) above sea level. It is characterised by numerous historic multi-story hotel buildings erected on the steep slopes.
The Gastein municipality comprises the cadastral communities of Badgastein, Böckstein, and Remsach. Its southern parts belong to the Hohe Tauern national park.

Coenonympha gardetta
The Alpine Heath (Coenonympha gardetta) is a butterfly species belonging to the Nymphalidae family. It can be in alpine meadows on heights of 800 to 2,900 from the Massif Central to Albania.
The length of the forewings is 15–16 mm. Adults are on wing from June to September. There is one generation per year.
The larvae feed on various grasses.

lies abandoned.
Why? I'm not sure - maybe the facilities were not up to the now expected norm. I myself, think I could forego a few 21st century comforts, just to mellow in an inn that's nearly 200 years old...

Beim Heubad hat man im Gegensatz zu anderen Duftextrakten den Vorteil, dass das es ganz naturbelassen ist und keinerlei synthetische Zusatzstoffe enthält.
Die Behandlung im Heubad wird eingeleitet durch das Einlegen des Heus in Wasser. Danach wird der Kurgast in dieses eingewässerte Heu gewickelt. Durch die Wärme können beim Heubad die wertvollen Inhaltststoffe an den Körper des Patienten abgegeben werden. Angewendet wird das Heubad meistens, wenn zum Beispiel eine Entschlackung gewünscht ist. Möglich wäre aber auch, dass der Kurgast eine Durchblutungsförderung mit dem Heubad erzielen möchte. Da das Heubad ganz unterschiedliche Heilungsprozesse in Gang setzt, ist es vielseitig einsetzbar.
Das Heubad sorgt nämlich mitunter nicht nur für das körperliche, sondern auch für das seelische Wohlbefinden des Körpers. Why? I'm not sure - maybe the facilities were not up to the now expected norm. I myself, think I could forego a few 21st century comforts, just to mellow in an inn that's nearly 200 years old...

Bei der Behandlung im Heubad greift man auf die heilende und wohltuende Wirkung des Alpenheus zurück. Das Heubad wird bereits seit Jahrhunderten erfolgreich angewendet. Beim Heubad hat man im Gegensatz zu anderen Duftextrakten den Vorteil, dass das es ganz naturbelassen ist und keinerlei synthetische Zusatzstoffe enthält.
Die Behandlung im Heubad wird eingeleitet durch das Einlegen des Heus in Wasser. Danach wird der Kurgast in dieses eingewässerte Heu gewickelt. Durch die Wärme können beim Heubad die wertvollen Inhaltststoffe an den Körper des Patienten abgegeben werden. Angewendet wird das Heubad meistens, wenn zum Beispiel eine Entschlackung gewünscht ist. Möglich wäre aber auch, dass der Kurgast eine Durchblutungsförderung mit dem Heubad erzielen möchte. Da das Heubad ganz unterschiedliche Heilungsprozesse in Gang setzt, ist es vielseitig einsetzbar.
Das Heubad sorgt nämlich mitunter nicht nur für das körperliche, sondern auch für das seelische Wohlbefinden des Körpers. Eine Reinigung der Atemwege ist dabei eben so miteingeschlossen wie eine entkrampfungsfördernde und immunstimulierende Wirkung. Die Behandlungsdauer beim Heubad beträgt insgesamt etwa 20 bis 25 Minuten. Das Ganze findet bei einer Temperatur von 40 bis zirka 42 Grad Celsius statt.

Die Behandlung im Heubad wird eingeleitet durch das Einlegen des Heus in Wasser. Danach wird der Kurgast in dieses eingewässerte Heu gewickelt. Durch die Wärme können beim Heubad die wertvollen Inhaltststoffe an den Körper des Patienten abgegeben werden. Angewendet wird das Heubad meistens, wenn zum Beispiel eine Entschlackung gewünscht ist. Möglich wäre aber auch, dass der Kurgast eine Durchblutungsförderung mit dem Heubad erzielen möchte. Da das Heubad ganz unterschiedliche Heilungsprozesse in Gang setzt, ist es vielseitig einsetzbar.
Das Heubad sorgt nämlich mitunter nicht nur für das körperliche, sondern auch für das seelische Wohlbefinden des Körpers. Eine Reinigung der Atemwege ist dabei eben so miteingeschlossen wie eine entkrampfungsfördernde und immunstimulierende Wirkung. Die Behandlungsdauer beim Heubad beträgt insgesamt etwa 20 bis 25 Minuten. Das Ganze findet bei einer Temperatur von 40 bis zirka 42 Grad Celsius statt.

One of the best roads in Europe that I have ever ridden. Near to route Napoleon. I am going to share near enough the whole route, without editing down to highlights, as I want you to be able to ride the whole day with me. This starts just after Sospel heading North through Moulinet and aiming to Col de Turini. This was Day 12 of the trip. We started at Diano Serrata in Italy, motorway to Monaco as Chris wanted to see it. Got stuck in traffic. Motorway back to Menton at about midday and take the turning for Sospel. The last two minutes have disappeared. It started to rain, we did a few more corners and arrived at the top where there were to Alpine looking hotels. We had coffee.

Soi 11 was always my favourite place to stay in Bangkok when I used to visit on holiday because it is 10 minutes walk (or a short taxi ride) to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy.
Soi 11 is home to many nightclubs too including Climax, Levels, and Wax/Sugar (next to Australian Bar). It also has great transport links with Nana BTS Skytrain station close by.

Hopefully the better places can relocate nearby but this seems to unfortunately be a recurring theme, as many parts of central Bangkok are losing their character and changing to generic high rise hotels and condominiums.

In this 2014 documentary, we watch a Swiss family spending the summer on an Alp (a high mountain pasture) to care for cows. The children Braida (8), Marchet (6) and Jon (3) have found their little paradise there, but also learn how to live with the animals and process milk for example. They love to be surrounded by cows, chicken, pigs, a dog and a cat, but also must learn taking over responsibility. They already know their limits and understand the breathtaking power of nature. The summer term of this family reminds us of a lifestyle that seems to be almost lost in modern times: close to the nature, close to the animals, respecting the weather conditions, living as a team, and finding distraction in your own fantasy, for lack of TV, internet or computer games. Set in a strikingly beautiful scenery of high mountains and lush meadows, hope prevails that this connection between untouched nature and mankind will not completely get lost in the future, and that people will start appreciating simple life.
In the small universe Alp ´Gün´, the three children Braida (8), Marchet (6) and Jon (3) are at home. Their summer in the valley of Safien (Graubünden) is filled with cows, cheese making and the playful learning of daily scores. We can see the adventures of the Alp through the eyes of the children, and how the parents Anna and Riccardo understand simple life as education. The children have to take on a lot of responsibility and impress us with their knowledge of handling animals and nature. Living, playing and working with the animals on the Alp stands in enormous contrast to the complex reality of modern life. This 2014 documentary raises questions about consume, comfort and media connection.

Zermatt, Switzerland – one of the most beautiful towns in the Alps, surrounded by 15,000-foot-high mountain peaks. In this show we’re going to focus on Zermatt town itself. The pedestrian streets are narrow and lined with shops, restaurants, hotels and inns near the rail station. Homes and houses are scattered throughout, some perched on the lower edge of the mountains.
For a very long time Switzerland and the Alps have been among the most beautiful regions, sought by millions of tourists from all parts of the world. They display the greatest mountains and valleys in their grandest form and have a special charm that is most seductive.
Zermatt is considered Switzerland's most popular visitor destination getting about 2 million visitors a year. So depending on the time of day or the season, this village could get pretty crowded. You might want to come in the shoulder season. Month of May is perfect, if it's late May, especially. Early May you might run into snow on the trails and that gets in the way of your hiking. Late May and early September are pretty much the perfect times to be here.
Zermatt is well-equipped to handle a large number of visitors they get, with 130 hotels in the main village area, not to mention bed-and-breakfasts and other hotels in nearby towns. Many people just come for the day, you can arrive by train in the morning, walk around, although that's not recommended. There's so much to see and do in Zermatt you really want to spend a couple of nights – at least two or even three nights would be very nice. They have got 70 ski lifts if you're a skier, especially in the wintertime they're all functioning. In the summer as we have seen up on the Klein Matterhorn you can ski all year round. And naturally this is heaven for serious rock climbers there. You'll see people with their ropes and spikes in pickaxes walking down the main lane heading for the hills.

This starts just after Sospel heading North through Moulinet and aiming to Col de Turini.
This was Day 12 of the trip. We started at Diano Serrata in Italy, motorway to Monaco as Chris wanted to see it. Got stuck in traffic. Motorway back to Menton at about midday and take the turning for Sospel.
The last two minutes have disappeared. It started to rain, we did a few more corners and arrived at the top where there were to Alpine looking hotels. We had coffee.
