First time trying San Pedro Cactus in a ceremony in Peru. Was an intensely spiritual and transformative experience. I definitely recommend it this psychedelic as a natural plant medicine.
(NOTE: For the third time in my life -- out of 3,000 videos -- I have disabled the comments to this video. I simply can no longer tolerate the imbecilic comments from these pathetic, clueless San Pedro -- and mushroom and ayahuasca -- know-it-all snobs who think their way to prepare San Pedro is the only way, and anyone who colors out of their lines is a hopeless imbecile. As I state clearly in this video, this is the way that has worked best for me; if you have a better way that works better for you, USE YOUR WAY!)
In this video, I show you how to harvest and prepare San Pedro cactus. There are a dozen ways to prepare San Pedro, but I have found this straight-forward method is the best (though not for weak stomachs). Happy journey!

PACASMAYO. Luego de disfrutar del feriado largo fiestas patrias en Chiclayo y Chepén, cuatro integrantes de una familia perdieron la vida al chocar frontalmente la camioneta en la que viajaban contra un tráiler.
El lamentable suceso ocurrió alrededor de la 1:45 p.m. de ayer en el kilómetro 666 de la carretera Panamericana Norte, a la altura del distrito de San Pedro de Lloc, provincia de Pacasmayo.
Según los testigos, la camioneta de placa de rodaje T2Z-269, en que viajaba la familia, colisionó frontalmente contra el pesado vehículo de matrícula T3K-999, perteneciente a la empresa “Transportes Induamerica”, cuando transitaban por el sector denominado Cacique de Lloc.
Producto del fuerte impacto, todos los ocupantes de la camioneta perdieron la vida de manera instantánea.
Las víctimas han sido identificadas como Antonio Humberto Valverde Cueva (50), conductor del vehículo, Marina de Jesús Villacorta Moncada (40) y su menor hija Ana Flavia (3); así como otra mujer de aproximadamente 40 años de edad que aun no ha sido identificada.
Según indicó a la Policía el conductor del tráiler, Alberto René Mijahuanca Cubas (36), se dirigía de Trujillo a Chiclayo; mientras que las víctimas retornaban hacia Trujillo.
De acuerdo a fuentes policiales, el conductor de la camioneta, que figura a nombre de la empresa Cartón SAC, habría invadido el carril contrario para adelantar a otro vehículo, protagonizando un choque frontal contra la pesada unidad.
Se conoció que los bomberos tardaron cerca de dos horas para poder rescatar los cuerpos de entre los fierros retorcidos, los cuales han sido llevados a la morgue.
Asimismo, el chofer del camión quedó en calidad de detenido para realizarse las diligencias correspondientes, como son el dosaje etílico.

Echinopsis pachanoi
Echinopsis pachanoi (syn. Trichocereus pachanoi) — known as San Pedro cactus — is a fast-growing columnar cactus native to the Andes Mountains at 2,000–3,000 m (6,600–9,800 ft) in altitude. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, and it is cultivated in other parts of the world. Uses for it include traditional medicine and traditional veterinary medicine, and it is widely grown as an ornamental cactus. It has been used for healing and religious divination in the Andes Mountains region for over 3,000 years. It is sometimes confused with its close relative, Echinopsis peruviana (Peruvian torch cactus).
Taxonomy
Echinopsis pachanoi is known by many names throughout South America such as Achuma, Huachuma, Wachuma, Aguacolla, Hahuacollay, or Giganton.
Description
Echinopsis pachanoi is native to Ecuador and Peru. Its stems are light to dark green, sometimes glaucous, with a diameter of 6–15 cm (2.4–5.9 in) and usually 6–8 ribs. The whitish areoles may produce up to seven yellow to brown spines, each up to 2 cm (0.8 in) long; the plant is sometimes spineless. The areoles are spaced evenly along the ribs, approximately 2 cm (0.8 in) apart.Echinopsis pachanoi is normally 3–6 m (10–20 ft) tall and has multiple branches, usually extending from the base. The tallest recorded specimen was 12.2 metres (40 ft) tall. White flowers are produced at the end of the stems; they open at night. The flowers are large, around 19–24 cm (7.5–9.4 in) long with a diameter of up to 20 cm (7.9 in). There are black hairs along the length of the tube leading to the flower. Oblong dark green fruits are produced after fertilization, about 3 cm (1.2 in) across and 5–6 cm (2.0–2.4 in) long.

ACCIDENTE EN SAN PEDRO DE LLOC DEJA CUATRO FALLECIDOS
PACASMAYO. Luego de disfrutar del feriado largo fiestas patrias en Chiclayo y Chepén, cuatro integrantes de una familia perdieron la vida al chocar frontalmente la camioneta en la que viajaban contra un tráiler. El lamentable suceso ocurrió alrededor de la 1:45 p.m. de ayer en el kilómetro 666 de la carretera Panamericana Norte, a la altura del distrito de San Pedro de Lloc, provincia de Pacasmayo. El lamentable suceso ocurrió alrededor de la 1:45 p.m. de ayer en el kilómetro 666 de la carretera Panamericana Norte, a la altura del distrito de San Pedro de Lloc, provincia de Pacasmayo.
Según los testigos, la camioneta de placa de rodaje T2Z-269, en que viajaba la familia, colisionó frontalmente contra el pesado vehículo de matrícula T3K-999, perteneciente a la empresa “Transportes Induamerica”, cuando transitaban por el sector denominado Cacique de Lloc.
Producto del fuerte impacto, todos los ocupantes de la camioneta perdieron la vida de manera instantánea.
Las víctimas han sido identificadas como Antonio Humberto Valverde Cueva (50), conductor del vehículo, Marina de Jesús Villacorta Moncada (40) y su menor hija Ana Flavia (3); así como otra mujer de aproximadamente 40 años de edad que aun no ha sido identificada.
Según indicó a la Policía el conductor del tráiler, Alberto René Mijahuanca Cubas (36), se dirigía de Trujillo a Chiclayo; mientras que las víctimas retornaban hacia Trujillo.
De acuerdo a fuentes policiales, el conductor de la camioneta, que figura a nombre de la empresa Cartón SAC, habría invadido el carril contrario para adelantar a otro vehículo, protagonizando un choque frontal contra la pesada unidad.
Se conoció que los bomberos tardaron cerca de dos horas para poder rescatar los cuerpos de entre los fierros retorcidos, los cuales han sido llevados a la morgue.
Asimismo, el chofer del camión quedó en calidad de detenido para realizarse las diligencias correspondientes, como son el dosaje etílico.

In this video, I show you how to harvest and prepare San Pedro cactus. There are a dozen ways to prepare San Pedro, but I have found this straight-forward method is the best (though not for weak stomachs). Happy journey!

PACASMAYO. Luego de disfrutar del feriado largo fiestas patrias en Chiclayo y Chepén, cuatro integrantes de una familia perdieron la vida al chocar frontalmente la camioneta en la que viajaban contra un tráiler.
El lamentable suceso ocurrió alrededor de la 1:45 p.m. de ayer en el kilómetro 666 de la carretera Panamericana Norte, a la altura del distrito de San Pedro de Lloc, provincia de Pacasmayo.
Según los testigos, la camioneta de placa de rodaje T2Z-269, en que viajaba la familia, colisionó frontalmente contra el pesado vehículo de matrícula T3K-999, perteneciente a la empresa “Transportes Induamerica”, cuando transitaban por el sector denominado Cacique de Lloc.
Producto del fuerte impacto, todos los ocupantes de la camioneta perdieron la vida de manera instantánea.
Las víctimas han sido identificadas como Antonio Humberto Valverde Cueva (50), conductor del vehículo, Marina de Jesús Villacorta Moncada (40) y su menor hija Ana Flavia (3); así como otra mujer de aproximadamente 40 años de edad que aun no ha sido identificada.
Según indicó a la Policía el conductor del tráiler, Alberto René Mijahuanca Cubas (36), se dirigía de Trujillo a Chiclayo; mientras que las víctimas retornaban hacia Trujillo.
De acuerdo a fuentes policiales, el conductor de la camioneta, que figura a nombre de la empresa Cartón SAC, habría invadido el carril contrario para adelantar a otro vehículo, protagonizando un choque frontal contra la pesada unidad.
Se conoció que los bomberos tardaron cerca de dos horas para poder rescatar los cuerpos de entre los fierros retorcidos, los cuales han sido llevados a la morgue.
Asimismo, el chofer del camión quedó en calidad de detenido para realizarse las diligencias correspondientes, como son el dosaje etílico.

Pablo Castillo se vino desde San Pedro y les contó a Cala, Juan, Sivori y Juanito los secretos de una Ensaimada clásica, y Xime no enseña a preparar dulce de leche casero. Ingredientes: Harina 1 kilo. Levadura 100 gramos. Huevos 4 unidades. Manteca de cerdo 400 gramos. Azúcar 150 gramos. Agua 300 centímetros cúbicos. Preparación: Hacer una corona con la harina. In this video, I show you how to harvest and prepare San Pedro cactus. There are a dozen ways to prepare San Pedro, but I have found this straight-forward method is the best (though not for weak stomachs). Happy journey!

Pablo Castillo se vino desde San Pedro y les contó a Cala, Juan, Sivori y Juanito los secretos de una Ensaimada clásica, y Xime no enseña a preparar dulce de leche casero.
Ingredientes:
Harina 1 kilo.
Levadura 100 gramos.
Huevos 4 unidades.
Manteca de cerdo 400 gramos.
Azúcar 150 gramos.
Agua 300 centímetros cúbicos.
Preparación:
Hacer una corona con la harina. Poner en el centro el azúcar, los huevos y la levadura disuelta en agua de la canilla, NO TIBIA.
Comenzar a incorporar la harina hacia el centro e ir mezclando todos los ingredientes de apoco hasta terminar de unirlos a todos.
Amasar muy bien durante 1/2 hora aproximadamente.
Trabajarla con aceite, ya que es una masa muy pegajosa.
Una vez que la amasó, colóquela en un recipiente y déjela fermentar dos veces y media el volumen inicial.
Retírela del recipiente y amásela nuevamente durante 10 minutos aproximadamente.
Vuelva a colocarla en el recipiente y deje que fermente igual a la vez anterior.
Una vez logrado dicho punto de fermentación, retírela del recipiente y córtela en 4 partes aproximadamente iguales.
Deje descansar 1 hora y proceda a estirar cada bollo con un palote dándole forma alargada (50 cm. x 20 cm. aprox.)
Úntela con manteca de cerdo (100 gramos a cada una) y estírela para todos los lados, intentando que la masa quede transparente.
Luego proceda a enrollarla, desde arriba hacia abajo, hasta lograr un "chorizo".
Haga lo mismo con las demás.
Tome la primera que hizo y comience a estirarla hasta que tome una longitud de aproximadamente 2 metros
Luego tome un molde pizzero y colóquela dentro en forma de espiral con una separación de 2 centímetros entre vuelta y vuelta.
Colóquela (tapada con un nylon) en un lugar templado, hasta que la ensaimada tome un volumen 2 veces el inicial o se hayan juntado todas las "vueltas".
Retire el nylon y cocínela a horno mínimo/medio (160ºC) hasta que la ensaimada esté dorada.
Retírela del horno y, una vez fría, córtela al medio como a un bizcochuelo y rellénela con crema pastelera casera o dulce de leche, por último, póngale azúcar impalpable por arriba, con un tamiz.
Rellenos posibles
Crema pastelera cantidad necesaria.
Dulce de leche cantidad necesaria.
Grasa de cerdo para untar cantidad necesaria.
Azúcar impalpable 120 gramos.
