The Filipinos (Filipino: Mga Pilipino) are a Southeast Asian ethnic group who are identified and native to the Philippines who share a common Filipino culture and ancestry. According to the 2010 Census, there were 92,337,852 in the Philippines and about 10 million living outside the Philippines but the domestic population was believed to have topped one hundred million in July 2014.
There are around 180 languages and dialects spoken in the Philippines by their respective Filipino ethnolinguistic groups or simply ethnic groups, the vast majority of them belonging to the Austronesian language family, with Tagalog and Cebuano having the greatest number of native speakers. The official languages of the Philippines are Filipino and English and most Filipinos are bilingual or trilingual.
Filipinos are made up of more than 175 ethnic groups around the Philippines and are a mosaic of influences throughout hundreds of years of history shared with neighbors and faraway colonizers. The Filipino identity, with its Austronesian roots, was developed with Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Spanish and American influences.

The Philippines (i/ˈfɪlᵻpiːnz/; Filipino: Pilipinas [ˌpɪlɪˈpinɐs]), officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas), is a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia situated in the western Pacific Ocean. It consists of about 7,500 islands that are categorized broadly under three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The capital city of the Philippines is Manila and the most populous city is Quezon City; both are part of Metro Manila.
To the north of the Philippines across the Luzon Strait lies Taiwan; Vietnam sits west across the South China Sea; southwest lies Malaysia in the island of Borneo across the Sulu Sea, and to the south the Celebes Sea separates it from other islands of Indonesia; while to the east it is bounded by the Philippine Sea and the island-nation of Palau. Its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire and close to the equator makes the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons, but also endows it with abundant natural resources and some of the world's greatest biodiversity. At approximately 300,000 square kilometers (115,831 sq mi), the Philippines is the 72nd-largest country in the world.

Another Philippines vlog, and the Filipinos are proving to be the nicest people in the world. I'm on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/brendanvanson The Filter I Love: http://amzn.to/2lD9YrE I've been all over the place. I think I've quite nearly been to 100 countries in the world. But, I think that The Filipinos are the nicest people in the world. And, yes, there are some incredibly nice people in a lot of places, but the Filipinos are next level. Everywhere I've gone, they have just been so friendly, kind, and welcoming. In a lot of countries, sticking out as much as I do as a tourist can feel like a negative. Here in The Philippines, though, it's been a blessing. I've just been at the hands of their kindness the whole time I've been here. On this Philippines vlog, I'm still on Si...

-This video is not an Anti-Hispanic culture documentary and doesn't aim to abolished Hispanic/American culture in Philippines, I think it's important to remember that we need to appreciate every collective culture that history has throwned to the islands of the Philippines, for it would be a monument of the richness of the country, to remind every Filipinos that many great nations with different cultures of the world have fought for it's richness but in the end it was taken back by the Filipino people, and the Filipino people alone. that way they can feel a sense of uniqueness amongst the other Asian cultures! i don't want this video to be misunderstood plus it could make Spain and America get away with everything they did while colonizing The Philippines, if Filipinos don't resourcefully...

We were not able to get it bec finding a parking area is a horror. We then walk around Plamondon to see some asian store and unexpectedly met Mark (friend from qswp group). I was happy to find shredded cassava and ube! It was a fun day and looking forward to do this again next time :)
Philippines-The Slum - Episode 1: Deliverance As a birth attendant advocating for family planning, Remy is on the frontline of Tondo's battle with overcrowding. Tondo in northern Manila is home to the city's largest collection of slums. It is also one of the most densely populated areas on the planet. Paradise Heights, home to former squatters, is in the heart of Tondo. There, self-taught midwife Remy Permites is delivering new life in the slums. Remy does her work with only the most basic equipment: a stethoscope, a pair of gloves and little else. Though she has little formal training, she plays a crucial role in an area where few can afford to pay for medical care. The slums of Manila are undergoing a population explosion. But Remy has managed to escape the shacks and lives in a smal...
A live stream from the People Power Monument in Metro Manila, Philippines and the surrounding area. Todays stream was primarily to test the Speedify app which lets you bond a 3G/4G connection and WIFI connection. I used a Smart LTE connection on my phone and a second Smart LTE connection in a pocket WIFI. Many people have said it's load balancing and not bonding. That's incorrect. The connections are being bonded and the throughput is higher. Unfortunately Speedify don't have a server inside the Philippines so my traffic has to pass through Singapore, Japan or HK which causes some performance problems. I spent 2 hours testing Speedify and it gives me about 30-40% improvement in my upload bandwidth. Although it's not magic and local network issues still cause problems with the live stre...
This is the entire original NOVA broadcast from 1993 in one video. Tasaday declared genuine. From WikiPilipinas: http://en.wikipilipinas.org/index.php?title=Tasaday While scholars debated, the hoax claims were also being challenged outside science|scientific circles. In 1987, the Philippine Congress held a four-month-long public investigation into the hoax claims, during which Elizalde arranged for a Tasaday woman to be present to support the original claims. The investigation concluded in favor of the original claims and denounced the possibility of a hoax. In 1988, President Corazon Aquino also conducted an inquiry and announced that the Tasaday were genuine and had nearly been victimized by unscrupulous scholars and businessmen who wanted their logging|timber- and mining|mineral-rich la...
