Buffy or Buffie may refer to:
A vampire hunter or vampire slayer is a character in folklore and fiction who specializes in finding and destroying vampires, and sometimes other supernatural creatures. A vampire hunter is usually described as having extensive knowledge of vampires and other monstrous creatures, including their powers and weaknesses, and uses this knowledge to effectively combat them. In many works, vampire hunters are simply humans with more than average knowledge about the occult, while in others they are themselves supernatural beings, having superhuman abilities. A well known and influential vampire hunter is Professor Abraham Van Helsing, a character in Bram Stoker's 1897 horror novel, Dracula.
"Professional" or semi-professional vampire hunters played some part in the vampire beliefs of the Balkans (especially in Bulgarian, Serbian, and Romani folk beliefs). In Bulgarian, the terms used to designate them included glog (lit. "hawthorn", the species of wood used for the stake), vampirdzhiya, vampirar, dzhadazhiya, svetocher.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series created by Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon, and David Solomon. The series premiered on March 10, 1997, on The WB and concluded on May 20, 2003, on UPN. The series narrative follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as "Vampire Slayers", or simply "Slayers". In the story, Slayers are "called" (chosen by fate) to battle against vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Like previous Slayers, Buffy is aided by a Watcher, who guides, teaches, and trains her. Unlike her predecessors, Buffy surrounds herself with a circle of loyal friends who become known as the "Scooby Gang".
The series received critical and popular acclaim and usually reached between four and six million viewers on original airings. Although such ratings are lower than successful shows on the "big four" networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox), they were a success for the relatively new and smaller WB Television Network. The show was ranked 41st on TV Guide's list of 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, second on Empire's "50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time", voted third in 2004 and 2007 on TV Guide's "Top Cult Shows Ever" and listed in Time magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-Time". In 2013, TV Guide also included it in its list of "The 60 Greatest Dramas of All Time" and ranked it #38 on its list of the "60 Best Series of All Time".Buffy was also named the third Best School Show of All Time by AOL TV. It was nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe awards, winning a total of three Emmys. However, snubs in lead Emmy categories resulted in outrage among TV critics and the decision by the academy to hold a tribute event in honor of the series after it had gone off the air in 2003.

Entertainment Weekly (sometimes abbreviated as EW) is an American magazine, published by Time Inc., that covers film, television, music, Broadway theatre, books and popular culture.
Different from celebrity-focused publications like Us Weekly, People (a sister magazine to EW), and In Touch Weekly, EW primarily concentrates on entertainment media news and critical reviews. And unlike Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, which are aimed at industry insiders, EW targets a more general audience.
The first issue was published on February 16, 1990, and featured singer k.d. lang on its cover. The cover price was $1.95 (equivalent to $3.53 today) The title word entertainment was not capitalized on the cover until mid-1992 and has remained so since. By 2003, the magazine's weekly circulation averaged 1.7 million copies per week. In March 2006, managing editor Rick Tetzeli oversaw an overhaul of EW's graphics and layout to reflect a more-modern look.
Created by Jeff Jarvis and founded by Michael Klingensmith, who served as publisher until October 1996, the magazine's original television advertising soliciting pre-publication subscribers portrayed it as a consumer guide to popular culture, including movies, music, and book reviews, sometimes with video game and stage reviews, too. ("the post-modern Farmers' Almanac").

Why you need to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and advice for getting through the first season. Even just after recording the V.O. I noticed some errors I'd made. I'll keep a running list here: 1. It was 4 seasons later. Not season 4 2. All 6 of them didn't live in that apartment. 3. It's actually more than 1000. 4. ... NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED! There are so many lines from Buffy that are constantly quoted online - "It's a big rock", "A Bear!", "Out for a walk" etc - but this is a vid of the ones that seem to have been forgotten, but that always make me laugh.

After Buffy (the character) celebrated her 35th birthday in 2016, this March marks 20 years since Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered in the US, and viewers were introduced to the Hellmouth and the Scooby Gang for the first time. We know it’s tough to binge a run of 144 episodes back-to-back so, to mark the 20th anniversary, we’ve whittled them down to 10 of the very best.

Where forces of darkness abound
The demons and vamps always come around
To satisfy lust for the kill
To feed on the living, and love evil
But when they rise up into the night
The slayer will come, the slayer will fight
With powers reserved - the chosen one
In each generation, there's only one...
Buffy... she's the slayer, oh yeah
Buffy... the vampire slayer...
The danger is real, oh chosen one
You probably won't see even 21
You're missing your life to defend
The world again...
Buffy... she's the slayer, oh yeah
Buffy... the vampire slayer...
-- oooohaaa... she's the slayer
-- ohhhhhhh yeah ... the vampire slayer
Nothing else you can do - so much riding on you
Every time you make plans - hell's mouth opens again
Waiting by a grave - wait for them to rise
You want nothing more - than a social life
Then you fall in love - with a vampire guy
Cause he has a soul - looks too good to die
Wants to help you fight - cause now he feels all guilty
Could we - have more irony
You're the chosen one - your boyfriend is a demon
Who wants to be a saint - but gets all rearranged
Cause on your 17th - when you two hit the sheets
The magic spell goes wrong - and angel's soul is gone...
Buffy, she's the slayer
-- ohhhhhhh yeah¡¤
