The Art (sometimes stylised as THEART) are an Australian Alternative Rock band based in Sydney. They began performing under the name The Follow in 2004. Tasmanian band leader Azaria Byrne was known as an unsuccessful contestant on the reality television series Popstars.
Early highlights for the band's career have been supporting successful bands such as the Pixies, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth and Thirty Seconds to Mars as late as 2010, however this was marred by the crowd booing and calls to "get off the stage".
As band leader Azaria Byrne enters middle age success has so far eluded him despite media attention resulting from his being cuckolded by the even older fading celebrity Bill Corgan.
The other band members have all been described as "dull" but this could also be a result of the attention seeking behavior of their singer.
The Apple Pencil is a digital stylus pen that works as an input device for the iPad Pro tablet computer and was designed by Apple Inc. It was announced on September 9, 2015, alongside the iPad Pro and released in conjunction with it on November 11, 2015.
The Apple Pencil features pressure sensitivity and angle detection. Encased in a plastic housing is a Bluetooth device that can communicate simultaneously with the screen and the system underneath it. The Pencil can detect force, allowing, for example, darker or lighter strokes in a drawing app depending on how hard the user presses.
The Apple Pencil was designed for low latency to enable smooth inking on the screen. The iPad Pro also allows simultaneous use of an Apple Pencil and one's fingers, while rejecting input from the user's palm.
One end of the Apple Pencil has a removable cap. Underneath this cap is a Lightning connector, which allows the Pencil's battery to be recharged via the iPad Pro's Lightning port itself. Fifteen seconds of charge provides up to half an hour of use. The user can also use the included female lightning to female lightning adapter to charge via a standard lightning cable instead.

Modern art is different in its manifestations and is being influenced by things it has never been influenced before. The rapid development of technology has given modern artists the new tools to put their ideas into the reality – art projects of today are made with new, unseen before, materials and greatly depend on the advancements in the IT sphere. Additionally, the Internet and easy data transfer have shrunk the world even further – different cultures and traditions get to interact and mix together faster, creating unusual environment for the artists of today. We have analyzed the most popular form of modern art – the art installation – and picked the most memorable projects on the web. Here is the list of projects and art illusions that we got to review (we have used mostly the ...

Glassworks Amsterdam is very proud to have collaborated with the G-Star in-house creative team to realize the Art of RAW campaign film. Till now the global campaigns of the brand were based on iconic print advertisements, shot by one of the biggest names in photography Anton Corbijn, featuring talents like Liv Tyler, Magnus Carlsen and Gemma Arterton. We were therefore extremely excited when G-Star approached Glassworks to realize their first ever campaign commercial which will run online and in cinemas across the globe. Since the brand took a break from conventional advertising in their market, this was a great opportunity for the two brand’s expertise to meet: denim and high-end digital animation and visual effects. The result was a dramatic, fully CGI, macro-level journey through the...

We wanted it to be clear that the technology was real and actually being played live. The interface plays a key role in illustrating the idea of the instrument and we designed it to highlight the audio being controlled by the dancer. Design elements like real time tr...

Art of Seduction: An Indispensible Primer on the Ultimate Form of Power Robert Greene's previous best seller, The 48 Laws of Power, distilled 3,000 years of scheming into a guide People praised as "beguiling... literate... fascinating" and Kirkus denounced as "an anti-Book of Virtues." In Art of Seduction, Greene returns with a new instruction audiobook on the most subtle, elusive, and effective form of power because seduction isn't really about sex. It's about manipulating other people's greatest weakness: their desire for pleasure. Synthesizing the work of thinkers including Freud, Diderot, Nietzsche, and Einstein, reporting the enticing strategies of characters throughout history, The Art of Seduction is a comprehensive guide to getting what we want any way we can.
Please watch this important episode concerning bias against prominent Hindu gurus. I spent many days investigating the legal case filed against Art of Living in which AoL was accused of destroying the Yamuna river. In this episode, I am interviewing environmental and legal experts who have studied this matter. The mainstream media has once again failed to present a balanced view. It is vital that AoL’s side of the story must come out. Please share this episode widely and post your comments.

This journey is narrated by intimate conversations with artists, engineers and producers about the philosophy of their work and the intent behind each musical note they create. This film is an invitation for music fans to rediscover the intricacies and details available in the sounds of their favorite recordings. Meet the extolled German artist, Anselm Kiefer, who lives for the process of creating, argues that history is a moldable material, considers art a spiritual occupation and refers to himself as a “dinosaur”. Art is a spiritual occupation, capturing a form of contact that science can’t: “It makes a connection between things that are separated,” Kiefer argues. In his mind, his works should continually evolve and be fluid. The process of creating is of utmost importance to him, as it is the process rather than the end that has his interest, and what’s between the paintings rather than in them. “I am a dinosaur – I paint myself,” he comments. Kiefer argues that history is a material, which is moldable like argil, and in this way becomes less horrific as it is possible to reform it. “His...

An emotional interview with the award winning post minimalist Richard Tuttle, known for his subtle, intimate works: "Artists they're from nature, they come out of nature, they're like the clouds that just happen." Being an artist is not like a disease, and it's not something, which can be cured via psychoanalysis either. Artists are a part of nature, like clouds that just happen, Tuttle explains. For Richard Tuttle personally art has always been his life, something he could not live without. Tuttle also explains that art is a human invention, a system which produces freedom, and which is necessary for keeping society healthy. The interview is as subtle and intimate as Tuttles work -- the artist invites us in for a glimpse of his childhood pain. Most artists have terrible childhoods, and ...
