Morlack is back with his second EP on BBP Recordings. The French producer has been releasing tracks on various other funky labels likes Tru-Funk and Funk Blasters and has moved a long way since his debut EP on BBP called Ghetto Vaccination.
With this EP Morlack proves to be one step ahead of most of the other artist in the scene, as he is adding his own twist to the Ghetto Funk style. Ghetto Funk might not just be for the late night dancefloor affairs, but can also work wonders on a cool and chilled afternoon. By adding flavors of laid-back jazzy funk, Morlack is bringing something new and refreshing to the genre that hasn’t been heard before. The ghetto basslines and smooth jazzy grooves seem to fall into a harmony, without too much problems – you can call it Jazzy Ghetto Funk!
A. On the first cut on the EP, Morlack leads us nice and slowly in the Zulu jungle, with some funky grooves and steady beats, all mixed with traditional ghetto funk basslines.
B. On Part 2 of Take it to the Zulu, Morlack lays it back an extra notch, so sit back and kick your feet up and let Morlack and Biggie take it away.
C. If it wasn’t HOT up in here already, Morlack makes it sure on the 3th cut of the EP, as he drops a really funky boogie beat on us, and some hot and spicy vocals.
D. To prove that his concept really works, Morlack forces us to “See the Light”, with some silky smooth jazzy grooves, that are gonna make us feel real good…

Breakbeat
Breakbeat as a term refers to one of two distinct things. Originally it would have referred only to "A breakbeat" (1), a section of a song in which, typically, all or at least most of the instruments stop for a period, usually around one bar, except from the drums, which would continue the melody even if altered. Since the rise of electronic music it can now also refer to the electronic music genre "Breakbeat" (2), characterized, simply put, as a genre of around 140bpm with a kick drum on 1st and 3rd beats, and a snare on the 2nd and 4th beats in a 4/4 beat pattern. This varies the music greatly from the steady beat used in house, techno and trance etc., which while often sharing a snare on the 2nd and 4th beats, are characterized by a kick drum on every beat.
Breakbeats, as in "A breakbeat" (1) have been known and used for around a hundred years, and are widely known for being sampled by many early producers of hip hop, where the "break" in a song, usually only a few seconds long, is looped to create basis for an entire new song. This sampling has continued up until today, and the original "breakbeats" from songs from the 1950s, 60s, 70s have been used in thousands of more recent songs since the rise of electonic music in the 1980s.

Sexy Dancer
"Sexy Dancer" was the follow-up single to Prince's self-titled second album in the UK. It was the first Prince single released outside the United States that was not released as a single stateside. The funky disco number has few lyrics but is not short on funk, using prominent bass guitar, grunts and screams to excite the listener.
The 12" single was Prince's first non-album extended version to be released. It includes extended bass and guitar solos, as well as more repeats of the refrain. "Sexy Dancer" was a popular number performed live, often giving other band members the opportunity to perform instrumental solos.
The song has been modified over the years during live performances, often segueing into or out of other tracks, most recently during Prince's 2007 Earth Tour, where the music to the song is accompanied by completely different lyrics, including parts of the disco classic "Le Freak". The B-side of the track was the album track rocker, "Bambi" in the UK and "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" in Japan.

Top class ghetto funk productions with an ethnic twist are what the 3 boys from Budapest, Hungarian is all about. Nynfus Corporation is the name of a crew of rising starts in the nu funk/ghetto funk scene. Top class ghetto funk productions with an ethnic twist are what the 3 boys from Budapest, Hungarian is all about.
After doing release on the Bombastic Jam and BigM label the crew turned to BBP to drop their dopest release to date. The a-side gives us funky peak time ghetto pumpin’ jams, whiles the b-side shows us a little a of that ethnic/European styles the boys do all so well. JiggyJoe is smahing up some classic tunes with fellow funkateers Dj Prosper (Bombstrikes, BigM, Manmade) and Tom Drummond (Manmade,Disco Cakes,Bombastic Jam)
A. On the first cut on the EP, Prosper and JiggyJoe adds a smooth twist to the classic Regulate track by Warren G and the late Nate Dogg. The smooth grooves on this mix is gonna do some great damage on any funky dancefloor.
B. Last night a DJ Threw His Hands in the Air is an old jam of JiggyJoes, but this time it’s been remixed and funked up by Australian beat wonder-boy Tom Drummond.

I was suffering from a writer's block for some time. But I'm back on track with this song which is a SaBo original for a change. The strange sounding instrument starting from 1:34 is actually a vocal that I found on a sample CD amplified with an electric guitar. I hope you enjoy the break beats in this song. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning them. Personally I like the last part of the song the most (starting from 3:04). I used the Camel Phat VST in combination with ReFX Nexus filters to create the raw bass sound.
Video Background info:
I can't wait to hear what you think of the babes in this video. I really fell in love with the blonde girl 'Chloe'. But when I had the video reviewed by my friends, some did not agree. So let me know which of the girls you would like to see in a future video. And again I would like for Playboy to show girls with at least a pretty face and not just big boobs. If it takes a while before my next video is released, it's probably due to a lack of nice footage. You deserve the best and I will not drop my standards.
Off-topic: I really look forward to Adobe After Effect CS6 which is about to be released. It promises to have a lot of cool and useful features.
