Aubreeze is a four-track album of sunny, house-flavored oversaturated electronics. It could almost be considered part of a pair with Aerate, where that release is all bubbles and spacious humidity, Aubreeze is a measured walk through a park as the leaves fall. Taking (perhaps obvious) influences from Mille Plateaux, Shinichi Atobe, Dettinger and Luke Abbott, among others, Aubreeze presents four lengthy psychedelic pieces that ebb slowly across the horizon line, subtly splashing bits of color around as they go. Also, like Aerate, Aubreeze was partially recorded at Botany Bay in South Carolina (Pomwater) and completed after the move into the new studio in Ohio. The title track is in fact the first piece of music written and recorded from the ground up in the new studio.

Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia (Latin for "New Scotland", pronounced in English as /ˌnoʊvə ˈskoʊʃə/) (French: Nouvelle-Écosse; Scottish Gaelic: Alba Nuadh; Scots: New Alba) is one of Canada's three Maritime provinces, and one of the four provinces which form Atlantic Canada. Its provincial capital is Halifax. Nova Scotia is the second-smallest province in Canada, with an area of 55,284 square kilometres (21,300 sq mi), including Cape Breton and another 3,800 coastal islands. As of 2011, the population was 921,727, making Nova Scotia the second-most-densely populated province in Canada.
Etymology
Nova Scotia means New Scotland in Latin and is the recognized English language name for the province. In Scottish Gaelic, the province is called Alba Nuadh, which also simply means New Scotland. The province was first named in the 1621 Royal Charter granting the right to settle lands including modern Nova Scotia, Cape Breton Island, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and the Gaspé Peninsula to Sir William Alexander in 1632.

Sun
The Sun (in Greek: Helios, in Latin: Sol) is the star at the center of the Solar System and is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. It is a nearly perfect spherical ball of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. Its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, and it has a mass about 330,000 times that of Earth, accounting for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System.About three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen; the rest is mostly helium, with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.
The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star (G2V) based on spectral class and it is informally referred to as a yellow dwarf. It formed approximately 4.567 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of matter within a region of a large molecular cloud. Most of this matter gathered in the center, whereas the rest flattened into an orbiting disk that became the Solar System. The central mass became increasingly hot and dense, eventually initiating nuclear fusion in its core. It is thought that almost all stars form by this process.

Halifax, Nova Scotia
Halifax (/ˈhælᵻfæks/), legally the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. The metropolitan area had a population of 414,400 in 2014 with 297,943 in the urban area centred on Halifax Harbour. The regional municipality consists of four former municipalities that were amalgamated in 1996; Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, and the Municipality of Halifax County.
Halifax is considered a global city and is a major economic centre in eastern Canada with a large concentration of government services and private sector companies. Major employers and economic generators include the Department of National Defence, Dalhousie University, the Halifax Shipyard, various levels of government, and the Port of Halifax. Agriculture, fishing, mining, forestry and natural gas extraction are major resource industries found in the rural areas of the municipality. Halifax was ranked by MoneySense magazine as the fourth best place to live in Canada for 2012, placed first on a list of "large cities by quality of life" and placed second in a list of "large cities of the future", both conducted by fDi Magazine for North and South American cities. Additionally, Halifax has consistently placed in the top 10 for business friendliness of North and South American cities, as conducted by fDi Magazine.

Aubreeze is a four-track album of sunny, house-flavored oversaturated electronics. It could almost be considered part of a pair with Aerate, where that release is all bubbles and spacious humidity, Aubreeze is a measured walk through a park as the leaves fall. Taking (perhaps obvious) influences from Mille Plateaux, Shinichi Atobe, Dettinger and Luke Abbott, among others, Aubreeze presents four lengthy psychedelic pieces that ebb slowly across the horizon line, subtly splashing bits of color around as they go. Also, like Aerate, Aubreeze was partially recorded at Botany Bay in South Carolina (Pomwater) and completed after the move into the new studio in Ohio. The title track is in fact the first piece of music written and recorded from the ground up in the new studio.

We captured this previously unreleased song in the apothecary display of the RCC just before they went to play at Lanes Privateer Inn, Liverpool, NS The RCC is a truly remarkable place! Aubreeze is a four-track album of sunny, house-flavored oversaturated electronics. It could almost be considered part of a pair with Aerate, where that release is all bubbles and spacious humidity, Aubreeze is a measured walk through a park as the leaves fall. Taking (perhaps obvious) influences from Mille Plateaux, Shinichi Atobe, Dettinger and Luke Abbott, among others, Aubreeze presents four lengthy psychedelic pieces that ebb slowly across the horizon line, subtly splashing bits of color around as they go. Also, like Aerate, Aubreeze was partially recorded at Botany Bay in South Carolina (Pomwater) and completed after the move into the new studio in Ohio. The title track is in fact the first piece of music written and recorded from the ground up in the new studio.

I Eric from Teknotik would like to take this opportunity to personally thank and acknowledge all the staff and participants that helped make HT7 an overwhelming success. We are proud to announce that we have now confirmed over 1000+ cars in attendance making this once again the biggest Honda and Acura meet to take place anywhere in Canada! We never would have believed that this meet would grown from a single parking lot of under 100 cars to 4 hugs lots packed with not a space to spare. We were very fortunate for a sun filled and beautiful day, aside from a few sun burns.
We would like to thank everyone who came out and participated. We had a great collection of cars from all over Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, North East USA and our furthest traveler all the way from Halifax Nova Scotia. Special thanks to the huge groups that made the drive all the way from Ottawa (OHC, RL) and Montreal (club civic QC, UR, MR).

Outside of designing the things I knew how to design. Not only did this project challenge me creatively, it challenged me to spend time every day creating this series. It followed me from my home, to friends homes, to airports, to coffee shops, to Halifax, Toronto and Edmonton, oh my!
My goal was to create an illustrative style that reflected my beliefs in design: Less is More. My goal was to be entirely self-indulgent. And it was, I admit, entirely worth it.

We captured this previously unreleased song in the apothecary display of the RCC just before they went to play at Lanes Privateer Inn, Liverpool, NS
The RCC is a truly remarkable place! Big thanks to Liz Brown and Sherman Hines for letting us use this incredible location for the video shoots, and to The Modern Grass for putting on such a great show.

Collecting six-minutes of black-and-white footage of wind blowing grass, Graminoids is what is called a ''sensory film'' – one that gives a dynamic impression rather than dispensing information. Demelza Kooij and Lars Koens haven't made a headlining film with Graminoids, but it's one that I will find myself telling friends about later – and then futilely searching Netflix and the internet for henceforth." "But for me the real highlight of the evening (and perhaps of the whole festival) was Demelza Kooij & Lars Koens' Graminoids, a short black and white study of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh. The visuals concentrate obsessively on the effect of wind and air currents moving through fields of grass, a stream of ever-changing unseen forces causing spirals, threads, waves, cycles and other patterns as well as arbitrary twists and sharp bends. The monochrome film found a parallel in the use of just treble and bass registers for the music, which blurred the distinction between natural and artificial sound, clarified occasionally in close-up shots with exquisite moments of music that seemed to emerge directly from a vibrating head of grass. One of the film’s most memorable images was when it abruptly, and briefly, switched away to a seemingly static shot of trees from above, their long shadows giving the impression that they were gazing directly at the sun. "The Full Frame schedule is dotted with intriguing pairings of short and long films in one screening, none more intriguing than Graminoids and Devil's Rope on Friday morning. Collecting six-minutes of black-and-white footage of wind blowing grass, Graminoids is what is called a ''sensory film'' – one that gives a dynamic impression rather than dispensing information. Demelza Kooij and Lars Koens haven't made a headlining film with Graminoids, but it's one that I will find myself telling friends about later – and then futilely searching Netflix and the internet for henceforth." "But for me the real highlight of the evening (and perhaps of the whole festival) was Demelza Kooij & Lars Koens' Graminoids, a short black and white study of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh. The visuals concentrate obsessively on the effect of wind and air currents moving through fields of grass, a stream of ever-changing unseen forces causing spirals, threads, waves, cycles and other patterns as well as arbitrary twists and sharp bends. The monochrome film found a parallel in the use of just treble and bass registers for the music, which blurred the distinction between natural and artificial sound, clarified occasionally in close-up shots with exquisite moments of music that seemed to emerge directly from a vibrating head of grass. One of the film’s most memorable images was when it abruptly, and briefly, switched away to a seemingly static shot of trees from above, their long shadows giving the impression that they were gazing directly at the sun. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank and acknowledge all the staff and participants that helped make Honda Tech 8 an overwhelming success – this was hands down the best honda tech event to date. We are proud to announce that we have now confirmed 1648 cars in attendance making this once again the biggest Honda and Acura meet to take place anywhere in Canada! At a new venue for this year we packed every inch of the Mosport facility and made good use of the track as people enjoyed the track all day. We were very fortunate for a sun filled and beautiful day, aside from a few sun burns.
We would like to thank everyone who came out and participated. We had a great collection of cars from all over Ontario, Quebec, and our furthest travelers all the way from Halifax Nova Scotia. Special thanks to the huge groups that made the drive all the way from Ottawa (OHC, RL) and Montreal (club civic QC, UR, MR). I’d also like to thank the various car clubs that shared the event on their forums and facebook.

As the sun was setting on our last night in Halifax, we met up with Jenny Berkel and David Simard. The night before we noticed how beautiful the light was on Quinpool Road, which was conveniently located right next to our hotel. We knew we had to film a video there before we left town to head back to St. John's, so even though it was getting cold, we walked down the street a little way, set up, and shot this amazing video.
