Plot: A 'Gram Panchayat' (village governing body) in rural India facilitates the functioning of the 'Makkala Samiti' (Children's Committee). This is a children's body elected by the children themselves. The committee acts as a pressure group in trying to get the local governance react to various social issues that it raises. Guided by a sympathetic school teacher, the children's honesty and persistence ruffles many feathers among the adults. Some of the adults have been using the 'Makkala Samiti' for their own needs. What follows is a subtle cat and mouse game, by the end of which the children hope to get their voice heard.

Plot: Naresh is union leader, and is felicitated for bravery shown in stopping an out of control bus, full of children. Naresh continues to struggle for the worker's rights, and soon becomes a thorn on the side of his employer, Vikral Singh, and is wrongfully accused of several crimes and produced before the courts. All the accusations are overturned by the courts due to his lawyer, Sharda, who is the wife of Public Prosecutor, Vijay Sing, a close friend of Vikral's. Naresh's sister falls in love with Vijay's son, Ashok, and both want to get married, but Vijay humiliates Naresh at the behest of Vikral, and asks him to be wealthy enough, and then bring this proposal. Naresh does so, however, he is again rejected, as Vikral would like Ashok to marry his daughter, Rajni. Things take an unexpected turn when the DSP Rathod's son is kidnapped by Naresh, and the police launch a manhunt for him, on one hand, and Ashok is accused of killing Rajni on the other. Will Sharda be able to assist Naresh and Ashok this time?

Plot: After being dismissed from his employment as a newspaper editor, for writing against S.K. Vardhan, a influential politician and underworld don, Vinod Kumar, re-locates to the slums of Bombay, and starts his own publication. He soon runs into problems with the local street-gangs, one of which is headed by the notorious Raja. Vinod adopts a positive approach, and this brings out the best in Raja, who even manages to take Vinod's wife, Sudha, to hospital, risking his life, during a Bombay Bandh. Raja then decides to go straight, give up his gang, and study further, encouraged by girlfriend, Geeta. He leaves the slums to upgrade. Several months later, he returns back, anxious to get working with Vinod and his publication, only to find that Vinod is now a criminal don, who has no interest whatsoever in any publication, nor in Raja.

Plot: Sandeep Anand is a wealthy industrialist. He runs an organization, and falls in love with one of his employees named Geeta, who comes from a lower middle class family, and wants to marry a man in the same class. Sandeep convinces her that he works for Mr. Anand, and both fall in love. When Geeta and her family find out that Sandeep has been lying to them, they have him arrested for impersonation. When Sandeep convinces the police that he is indeed the real Sandeep Anand, he is released. When Sandeep attempts to woo Geeta back, she will have nothing to do with him, as he lied to her. Sandeep will now have to prove his love for Geeta all over again.

Plot: Honest mint employee, Ghanshyam (Shreeram Lagoo) gets framed for murder by Joseph D'Souza (Amjad Khan), and has to flee from the police. Years later, Ghanshyam, after being forced to work for Joseph to print fake rupee notes, is rich and known as Vikram Singh; his daughter and wife are homeless and destitute; his elder son, Ravi (Vinod Khanna) is a burglar at night, and a rich and respectable man named Kunwar Dilip Singh during the day; his other son, Sushil (Raj Babbar) is a police inspector, adopted by the Police Commissioner (Om Shivpuri). Plot: Our story has three married couples: One couple, who are happily married, are Tripathi (Sanjeev Kumar) and his wife Mary; the second couple are Geeta (Shabana Azmi) and Vinod (Vinod Mehra), who live in Vinod's mom's house. Their's is an unhappy marriage with Vinod spending a lot of time with Leena (Prema Narayan), and frequenting late and all-night parties. His wife patiently awaits his return every night; And the third couple is that of Shobha (Moushumi Chatterjee) and Vicky Kapoor (Jeetendra), their's is a seemingly "happy" marriage, with Shobha being a very jealous and possessive woman. One day when she sees her husband and Radha (Tanuja) together, she thinks they are having an affair, and starts to ask questions. Suddenly their lives are turned upside down, when Vinod decides to leave the house; Shobha leaves her husband; and Tripathi tries to make amends but looks like these two couples are unable to compromise and adjust to married life.

Plot: Young brothers Vijay and Ajay watch helplessly as their shanty house burns down with their father and ailing mother unable to escape from the flames. Vijay and Ajay are subsequently separated, and Vijay makes his living as a career criminal with a difference - he only robs the rich to provide for the poor. Vijay is now known as Fakira, and he works together with his partners Popat and Neelam. One day he comes to the aid of a damsel in distress, Geeta, and takes her to their hideout, subsequently both fall in love, and get married quietly. Then criminal don, Chimanbhai, perturbed by Fakira's thefts, recruits a hit-man named Toofan to abduct or possibly kill Fakira by any and all means. Fakira unknowingly befriends Toofan. The trusting Fakira does not know that the woman he has married is the daughter of the Police Commissioner, and is herself a Plainclothes Policewoman assigned to arrest and bring him to justice; and that Toofan is none other than his younger brother, Ajay.

Three young women, Rekha, Geeta, and Kalpana are friends, and of marriageable age. While Rekha wants to marry a painter, Geeta wants to marry a singer, and Kalpana a writer. Things don't quite work out that way, and Kalpana is paired with Mohan; while Rekha is paired with the writer, and Geeta falls in love with a painter. The three male friends decide to help each other out by using their talents, and utter and hilarious chaos reigns
