This is a walking tour of the east end of the Estes Park, CO, River Walk along the Big Thompson River. My battery died before I was through with the walk. I will upload an addendum soon....

Mountain river walk with a little waterfall at the top, takes about 3 hours each way as walking on pebbles and boulders in the river so don't turn up in flip flops like we did the first time, this was taken on our third visit but on this occasion we didn't walk as far up the river but had a great day lazing around in the chilled pools.
Well worth checking out if you are holidaying somewhere near to Nerja.
Take Av. de Pescia and at roundabout turn in to Calle Julio Romero, follow to right on Av. Constitution , follow for about 2 or 300 meters and turn left in to Calle Mirto go along here just to the back of where the market is but do not follow round, you need to take the little dirt roar just past the gates behind the market and follow under the motorway (Look for the old cave house in the rock wall as you go under the motorway) and passed a little cement factory i think it is! its only half mile from the market.

Butler's Wharf is also used as a term for the surrounding area.
History
Butler's Wharf was built between 1871-73 as a shipping wharf and warehouse complex, accommodating goods unloaded from ships using the port of London. It contained what was reputedly the largest tea warehouse in the world. During the 20th century, Butler's Wharf and other warehouses in the area fell into disuse.
Since the 1980s, Butler's Wharf has been transformed from a derelict site into luxury flats, with restaurants and shops on the ground floor. D&D; London owns several of the restaurants, which include Butler's Wharf Chop House, Le Pont de la Tour and Cantina del Ponte.
Butler's Wharf is Grade II listed.
Butler's Wharf is also used as a name for the surrounding area, otherwise called Shad Thames after the main local street.

The mean, dilapidated lanes within the complex enjoyed brief fame as a Dr Who film set during the early eighties, but after the departure of the Daleks the developers moved in and began the transformation of the wharf into an imaginative mix of apartments, offices, restaurants and leisure facilities.
A central piazza is the main focal point of the complex. A riverside walk has also been opened up, part of the Thames Path from the Greenwich flood barrier up to the source in Cricklade, Gloucestershire. The main road though the wharf, the strangely-named Shad Thames, still features the overhead goods gantries that once linked the warehouses together.
Recently opened within the complex are the London Design museum and the adjacent Tea and Coffee museum. The Wharf complex is bounded to the east by the sinister tidal inlet of St Saviour's Dock, beside which stands New Concordia Wharf. This building has now been converted into offices and apartments but, a century ago, Charles Dickens set Bill Sykes's den here in "Oliver Twist". I wonder what Dickens would have made of the area's transformation.

River
A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. This is a walking tour of the east end of the Estes Park, CO, River Walk along the Big Thompson River. My battery died before I was through with the walk. I will upload an addendum soon....

Mountain river walk (Nerja Spain July 2011) runs behind the east side of Frigiliana
Mountain river walk with a little waterfall at the top, takes about 3 hours each way as walking on pebbles and boulders in the river so don't turn up in flip flops like we did the first time, this was taken on our third visit but on this occasion we didn't walk as far up the river but had a great day lazing around in the chilled pools. Well worth checking out if you are holidaying somewhere near to Nerja. Take Av. de Pescia and at roundabout turn in to Calle Julio Romero, follow to right on Av. Constitution , follow for about 2 or 300 meters and turn left in to Calle Mirto go along here just to the back of where the market is but do not follow round, you need to take the little dirt roar just past the gates behind the market and follow under the motorway (Look for the old cave house in ...

The mean, dilapidated lanes within the complex enjoyed brief fame as a Dr Who film set during the early eighties, but after the departure of the Daleks the developers moved in and began the transformation of the wharf into an imaginative mix of apartments, offices, restaurants and leisure facilities.
A central piazza is the main focal point of the complex. A riverside walk has also been opened up, part of the Thames Path from the Greenwich flood barrier up to the source in Cricklade, Gloucestershire. The main road though the wharf, the strangely-named Shad Thames, still features the overhead goods gantries that once linked the warehouses together.
Recently opened within the complex are the London Design museum and the adjacent Tea and Coffee museum. The Wharf complex is bounded to the east by the sinister tidal inlet of St Saviour's Dock, beside which stands New Concordia Wharf. This building has now been converted into offices and apartments but, a century ago, Charles Dickens set Bill Sykes's den here in "Oliver Twist". I wonder what Dickens would have made of the area's transformation.
