Abu Dhabi (US /ˈɑːbuː ˈdɑːbi/, UK /ˈæbuː ˈdɑːbi/; Arabic: أبو ظبي Abū Ẓabī Emirati pronunciation [ɐˈbuˈðˤɑbi]) is the capital and the second most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (the most populous being Dubai), and also capital of Abu Dhabi emirate, the largest of the UAE's seven member emirates. Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from the central western coast. The city proper had a population of 1.5 million in 2014.
Abu Dhabi houses federal government offices, is the seat of the United Arab Emirates Government, home to the Abu Dhabi Emiri Family and the President of the UAE, who is from this family. Abu Dhabi's rapid development and urbanisation, coupled with the relatively high average income of its population, has transformed the city into a large and advanced metropolis. Today the city is the country's center of political and industrial activities, and a major cultural and commercial centre, due to its position as the capital. Abu Dhabi accounts for about two-thirds of the roughly $400-billion United Arab Emirates economy.
A national oil company (NOC) is an oil company fully or in the majority owned by a national government. According to the World Bank, NOCs accounted for 75% global oil production and controlled 90% of proven oil reserves in 2010.
Due to their increasing dominance over global reserves, the importance of NOCs relative to International Oil Companies (IOCs), such as ExxonMobil, BP, or Royal Dutch Shell, has risen dramatically in recent years. NOCs are also increasingly investing outside their national borders.
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Arabic: شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية) or ADNOC is the state-owned oil company of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the Oil & Gas Journal estimates as of January 2015, the UAE holds the seventh-largest proved reserves of oil in the world at 97.8 billion barrels, with most of the reserves located in Abu Dhabi (approximately 94% of the UAE's total). It is world's 11th biggest company by oil production, standing at 2.9 million barrels per day. It is the UAE's biggest company. Adnoc is building a $1.2 billion headquarters with over 300 offices for its management.
ADNOC is one of the world's leading company by oil reserves. The company operates two oil refineries which are Ruwais and Umm Al Nar. ADNOC has 18 subsidiary companies, both on upstream and downstream.
ADNOC is developing both onshore and offshore gas fields. Natural gas is exported in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and supplied for local electricity and water utilities, to other industries including petrochemicals plants and for re-injection into reservoirs to improve oil and condensate is the eighth largest recipient of US federal contract dollars, receiving a total of about $900,000 in 2008 alone.
The National is a government-owned English-language daily newspaper published in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The National was first published on 16 April 2008. Mohammed Al Otaiba is the editor-in-chief of The National. The editor-in-chief between 8 June 2009 and 2 October 2013 was Hassan Fattah. Prior to this, and from the launch of the newspaper Martin Newland was editor-in-chief. Abu Dhabi Media, the government-owned media company, runs the newspaper along with a stable of other publications, including Al Ittihad, Zahrat Al Khaleej, Majed, and National Geographic Al Arabiya (in partnership with National Geographic). With its pledge to emulate Western newspaper standards and to "help society evolve," The National claims to be an anomaly in the Middle East, where most media are tightly controlled by the government - however there have been several high level resignations across the editorial team regarding spiked stories and the newspaper's impotency when covering stories on Abu Dhabi. On the other hand, the major goal in establishing the paper was to have respect from the international community on the part of the government.

Abu Dhabi Travel - With a population of just under 1.5 million, Abu Dhabi is the headquarters of numerous oil companies and embassies. With only 420,000 citizens in the entire emirate, each has an average net worth of $17 million. The city features large gardens and parks, green boulevards lining all the streets and roads, sophisticated high-rise buildings, international luxury hotel chains and opulent shopping malls. Long viewed as a staid bureaucratic outpost entirely lacking in neighboring Dubai's pizzazz, things started to change radically in 2004 after long-ruler Sheikh Zayed passed away and his son Sheikh Khalifa took over. In a bid to attract tourism and investment, land sales to foreigners were allowed and restrictions on alcohol were loosened. Homosexuality is currently illegal th...

This love is like a raging lion
It's a heart of gold
That's given you a place to go.
You try so hard to make it on your own
You've got to understand I'm making myself known.
Come back to the airwaves, burn the ashes
Raise the grave up to the sun.
Sing of Me, sing of My love
Like a bullet from a gun "SHOT" through the airwaves.
"BANG, BANG"
Raise the dead.
Sing of Me, sing of My love
Like a bullet from a gun.
It's time for me to bring the black back
And capture the songs and take them to the streets.
If we can sing it loud, we might just see it now
We've got to shake the world, we've got to lift our voice.
