The Clouds (Ancient Greek: Νεφέλαι Nephelai) is a Greek comedy play written by the celebrated playwright Aristophanes. A lampooning of intellectual fashions in classical Athens, it was originally produced at the City Dionysia in 423 BC and was not as well-received as the author had hoped, coming last of the three plays competing at the festival that year. It was revised between 420-417 BC and was thereafter circulated in manuscript form.
No copy of the original production survives, and scholarly analysis indicates that the revised version is an incomplete form of Old Comedy. This incompleteness, however, is not obvious in translations and modern performances. Retrospectively, The Clouds can be considered the world's first extant 'comedy of ideas', and is considered by literary critics to be among the finest example of the genre. The play also, however, remains notorious for its caricature of Socrates, and is mentioned in Plato's Apology as a contributor to the philosopher's trial and execution.
In meteorology, a cloud is an aerosol comprising a visible mass of liquid droplets or frozen crystals made of water or various chemicals. The droplets or particles are suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of a planetary body. On Earth clouds are formed by the saturation of air in the homosphere when air cools or gains water vapor.
Cloud types in the troposphere, the atmospheric layer closest to Earth's surface, have Latin names due to the universal adaptation of Luke Howard's nomenclature. It was formally proposed in December 1802 and published for the first time the following year. It became the basis of a modern international system that classifies these tropospheric aerosols into several physical forms which can be found at various altitude levels or étages.

These images and these sounds were recorded during a travel from "Toulouse" to "Paris", and from "Paris" to "Martinique". We see the North and the South of "Martinique", the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, during the rainy season in July, 2011. This small video was thought before I arrive on the scene. The images were not priority but it's the sound which guided the shoot and the edition. Sounds recorded with a zoom H4N (post sync). Images shot with a tripod and a 7D. Alvaro Longoria partners with Academy Award® winner Javier Bardem for his directorial debut, SONS OF THE CLOUDS: THE LAST COLONY. This compelling documentary brings to light the political and human rights issues facing the people of the Western Sahara and the responsibility of Western powers in the effort to restore peace to the region. The film examines the current political turmoil and the failed policies, namely realpolitik, which have generated tremendous instabilities. A personal journey for Bardem, the film focuses on the bleak reality of the Western Sahara, a former Spanish colony that is now occupied, in part, by Morocco and has resulted in almost 200,000 refugees living in camps in the desert.
After hiking 13km up HuangShan on the first day, we got up at 4am (after only 5hrs of sleep) to go see the sunrise over the mountain. At first it was a tease - the sky got brighter but we did not see the disk of the sun. When it finally began emerging from the grayness of the horizon, a large cloudmist swooped in to block its ascent from view. (the crowd was certainly displeased!) But at long last the mist dissipated, and the glow of morning illuminated the rolling waves of the cloudsea beneath. They say that in every man’s heart is the desire to go higher. This might be the highest that I could ever ascend in this lifetime. 2,922 meters above sea level, just over 30 meters short of Mt. Apo (Philippines). Here, I took myself to a new adventure of chasing light above clouds. Watch and experience Mt. Pulag’s Microclimate presented in timelapse. Take notice of radical changes in light and colors happening in very short periods of time. Don’t miss the spectacular sunrise above clouds. 2,922m above sea level 20,000 images 100 GB worth of files 40 kg of baggage 1 brave spirit

Get the full scoop at http://www.exothermia.net/monkeys_and_robots/2009/04/27/cloudmirror/ The CLOUD MIRROR is an interactive augmented reality art installation by Eric Gradman of Monkeys & Robots. Live video captured by a camera is projected on the wall behind the camera. The CLOUD MIRROR software alters the images on the way to the screen. It tracks faces from frame to frame and also examines each frame for 2D barcodes printed on attendee badges. The CLOUD MIRROR then augments each frame, adding a thought bubble to each face in the projected image. The contents of that thought bubble are selected from a set of "tags" associated with that person. Tags come from various sources, including Facebook, Twitter, and SMS data.
I have been waiting on a response for days
There has been a complication
It seems your heart needed a break
From pumping the blood through your veins
And keeping the oxygen ok
I still see your face
Any day when I see your eyes in a bottle that was way too tall
I finished it to just see if we could talk
Now I am speaking with your ghost again
It’s Telling me that I don’t understand
Can we be friends in another lifetime
And I might pretend
That we are right now
Jumping feelings from a dying dream
I drank the poison from a black moon sleep
Then I saw you
I felt your kiss in a dream I had
I felt your skin in a monument
Then I went home to live a brand new life without you
And buried your face
Beneath the giant shadows of the clouds
And they will stay there under ground
But no matter what I do
I never will stop talking to you
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
You said I always did
I never did get the last word in
