The Cleveland Indians are an American professional baseball team based in Cleveland, Ohio, that competes in Major League Baseball. They are organized in the Central Division of the American League. Since 1994, they have played in Progressive Field (formerly known as Jacobs Field). The team's spring training facility is at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona. Since their establishment as a Major League franchise in 1901, the Indians have won two World Series championships, in 1920 and 1948.
The name "Indians" originated from a request by club owner Charles Somers to baseball writers to choose a new name to replace "Cleveland Naps" following the departure of Nap Lajoie after the 1914 season. The name referenced the nickname "Indians" that was applied to the Cleveland Spiders baseball club during the time when Louis Sockalexis, a Native American, played in Cleveland. Common nicknames for the Indians include the "Tribe" and the "Wahoos", the latter being a reference to their logo, Chief Wahoo, a controversial Native American caricature. The team's mascot is named "Slider."

The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball (MLB) in North America, contested since 1903 between the American League (AL) champion team and the National League (NL) champion. Prior to 1969, the team with the best win-loss record in each league automatically advanced to the World Series; since then each league has conducted a championship series (ALCS and NLCS) preceding the World Series to determine which teams will advance. As of 2015, the World Series has been contested 111 times, with the AL winning 64 and the NL winning 47. The winner of the World Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff and the winning team is awarded the Commissioner's Trophy. As the series is played in October (and occasionally November), during the autumn season in North America, it is often referred to as the Fall Classic.
The 2015 World Series took place between the New York Mets and the victorious Kansas City Royals. Five games were played, with the Royals victorious after game five, played in New York. The final score was 7-2; the game went into extra innings after a tied score of 2-2. This was the second World Series won by the franchise and the first in 30 years.

It may not have been a November to remember, but by golly, it sure was a summer, and an October to remember. Take a look back at the journey that this 2016 Cleveland Indians team went through all season long, and into the postseason. As Hammy says at the end of the video, "can't wait for next year". Enjoy the memories everyone, and Go Tribe!

In the year 2007, I interned for the Cleveland Indians in the scoreboard production department. As an intern, I created a rally video based upon the Will Ferrell SNL skit entitled, "More Cowbell." The first time the video ran, the Indians were playing the Tampa Ray Rays and were down 2-1 going in to the bottom of the ninth inning. The first pitch of the inning, after running the video, Ben Francisco hit a home run to left field to tie the game. The tribe went on to win the game. The scoreboard video became a good luck charm and a fan favorite as the Indians took the Boston Red Sox to seven games in the 2007 ALCS. This is not that video. Since then, my motion graphic design skills have definitely improved. Here is the V2.... the 2009 version of the Cleveland Indians Cowbell Rally Video,...
