Treendale Bridge project to link Australind and Eaton developing well

Work to link Eaton and Australind through the Treendale Bridge over the Collie River is nearing completion with drone photos showing the project's recent progress.

A number of key milestones were recently met with the last of the bridge piles installed and the first and second concrete pours for the deck of the 224-metre bridge finished in June.

In the coming weeks bridge beams will be installed, the final concrete for the deck will be poured and an asphalt road surface will be applied.

When completed, the bridge will provide a much needed connection between the fast growing Treendale and Kingston subdivisions in Australind, Millbridge Private Estate in Millbridge and the Parkridge Estate in Eaton. It is also expected to halve the travel time between the two commercial precincts.

Alongside the bridge, the Shires of Harvey and Dardanup are designing pedestrian and cycling links to provide better transport opportunities between the communities on either side of the river.
