Two ministers will share responsibility for MP Mark Bailey's mega-portfolio in a temporary Queensland cabinet shake-up.
It comes after Mr Bailey was stood aside from his ministerial duties following a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation.
The CCC found Mr Bailey raised a "reasonable suspicion of corrupt conduct" in deleting work-related emails and deactivating his private account.
In a statement, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said Treasurer Curtis Pitt would take on the role of Acting Energy, Biofuels and Water Supply Minister.
Environment Minister Steven Miles will also serve as Acting Minister for Main Roads, Road Safety and Ports.
Mr Bailey's portfolios of Main Roads, Road Safety, Ports, Energy, Biofuels and Water Supply are due before budget estimates in a week's time.
Ms Palaszczuk confirmed the acting ministers would appear before estimates next Thursday.
She said the CCC had recommended new guidelines around ministerial use of email accounts.
"The CCC has recommended the Department address with the Premier the need for further explicit and formal advice to Ministers regarding the use of ministerial email addresses. These new guidelines will be released as soon as practicable," Ms Palaszczuk said.
Mr Bailey has stood aside pending the outcome of the State Archivist's investigation.
He will lose his ministerial salary allowance during the investigation, and will instead receive a salary as a member of Parliament.
In a statement on Wednesday night, Mr Bailey said he stood by his integrity and looked forward to the resolution of the investigation.
