Man in Tuart Hill slashed on wrist with weapon during ute theft

A man has been slashed on the wrist with a bladed weapon in Tuart Hill by a group of men who then stole his ute after earlier crashing into it.

Police claim the man heard a noise at his home just after midnight on Friday morning and went outside to find a car had smashed into his Holden Utility.

The man was then assaulted by three or four men, during which he received a cut to his hand in the struggle with a bladed weapon.

The offenders then fled in the man's ute after he was forced to hand over the keys.

The victim went to hospital and received stitches to his hand.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report on www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
