Waḥy (Arabic: وحي‎, IPA: [waħj]; also spelled wahi) is the Arabic word for revelation. In Islamic belief, revelations are God's Word delivered by his chosen individuals – known as Messengers prophets – to mankind. In Islam, the Quran is considered a wahy given to the Islamic prophet, Muhammad. The word awha (أوحى awḥá) occurs in a number of shades of meaning in the Quran, each of them indicating the main underlying idea of directing or guiding someone. The word "wahy" (revelation) is derived from awha.

Description

In Islamic tradition, the 42:51 verse of the Quran serves as the basis of understanding for wahy. It says "It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills". Based on this, Islamic scholars have described three ways in which God's revelation can reach His chosen individuals, especially prophets. An inspired message – not a word but an idea – can enter the heart of the chosen individuals either in the state of consciousness or in dream. The second mode, it is said, is the word heard by the person spoken to, like, from behind a veil. In the third mode, the revelation is sent from God through archangels like Gabriel and is delivered to the prophets. It is the highest form of revelation, and Muslims believe the whole Quran was revealed in this mode.

Phir Se...

Phir Se (English: Once Again) is an Indian romance film released on 26 June 2015 directed by Kunal Kohli and Ajay Bhuyan. The film stars Kunal Kohli and Jennifer Winget and deals with a husband-wife relationship. Rajit Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Kanwaljeet Singh and Sushmita Mukherjee portray supporting roles. This is the first film of the director Kunal Kohli as an actor and also the debut film of Jennifer Winget in Bollywood. The tagline of the film is "I'm not 40—I'm 18 with 22 years experience." The trailer of the film was released on 7 April 2015.

Phir Se is based on a separated couple living in London, trying to come to terms with the consequences of their split.

Casting

The main cast of Kunal Kohli and Jennifer Winget was finalized in mid 2014. The movie was directed by Kunal Kohli, who also made his acting debut in this film. Prior to Phir Se, he had directed films like Fanaa, Hum Tum, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! and Teri Meri Kahaani.

Kishore Kumar

Kishore Kumar (4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987) was an Indian film playback singer, actor, lyricist, composer, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is considered one of the most successful playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Apart from Hindi, he sang in many Indian languages including Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Odia, and Urdu. He has also sung in private albums in several languages especially in Bengali which are noted as all time classics. He won 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for winning the most Filmfare Awards in that category. He was awarded the "Lata Mangeshkar Award" by the Madhya Pradesh government and from that year onwards, the Madhya Pradesh Government initiated a new award called the "Kishore Kumar Award" for contributions to Hindi cinema

Early life

Kishore Kumar was born in a Bengali Ganguly family in Khandwa, Central Provinces (now in Madhya Pradesh) as Abhas Kumar Ganguly. His father Kunjalal Ganguly (Gangopadhyay) was a lawyer and his mother Gouri Devi came from a wealthy Bengali family. Kunjalal Gangopadhyaya was invited by the Kamavisadar Gokhale family of Khandwa to be their personal lawyer. Kishore was the youngest of four siblings, the other three were Ashok (the eldest), Sati Devi, and Anoop. While Kishore was still a child, his brother Ashok became a Bollywood actor. Later, Anoop also ventured into cinema with Ashok's help. Spending time with his brothers, Kishore became interested in films and music. He became a fan of singer-actor K. L. Saigal—whom he considered his guru, and tried to emulate his singing style. He graduated from Christian College, Indore.

Asha Bhosle

Asha Bhosle (born 8 September 1933), commonly referred to as Ashaji, is an Indian singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Hindi cinema, although she has a wider repertoire. Bhosle's career started in 1943 and has spanned over six decades. She has done playback singing for over a thousand Bollywood movies. In addition, she has recorded several private albums and participated in numerous solo concerts in India and abroad. Bhosle is the sister of playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Renowned for her voice range and often credited for her versatility, Bhosle's work includes film music, pop, ghazals, bhajans, traditional Indian classical music, folk songs, qawwalis, and Rabindra Sangeets. Apart from Hindi, she has sung in over 20 Indian and foreign languages. In 2006, Asha Bhosle stated that she had sung over 12,000 songs, a figure repeated by several other sources. In 2011, she was officially acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most recorded artist in music history. The Government of India honoured her with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. In 2013, she made her debut as an actress in the film Mai, and received critical acclaim for her performance.

Vaada Raha

Vaada Raha (English: I Promise) is a Hindi film, released on 11 September 2009. It stars Bobby Deol in the lead role and Kangana Ranaut and Atul Agnihotri in special appearances. It is directed by Samir Karnik. Some part of the film was shot in Ephesus, Turkey.

Plot

After receiving a generous grant from the American Medical Association Dr Duke Chawla (Bobby Deol) who always gives hope to his patients, proposes to his sweetheart, Pooja (Kangana Ranaut), and both arrange to get married soon. While returning home that night, he meets with an accident and wakes up in the East West Hospital paralce of recovery. Shattered and devastated, he is in for more trauma and shock when he finds out that Pooja will have nothing to do anymore. Upset, bitter and in despair, he loses his will to live, refuses to take medicine nor any treatment, and awaits death. One day, Roshan (Dwij Yadav) a young boy enters Duke's life to rekindle the hope again. He starts telling him stories of the world seen outside his window and motivates him to take his medicines and start his physiotherapy, day by day Duke starts improving and one fine day he realises that Roshan was suffering from terminal cancer and he died leaving a new life for Duke.
