An arrest warrant has been issued for a violent sex offender who was once investigated over the murder of Corryn Rayney, after he failed to show up to court on Wednesday.
Allon Mitchell Lacco was due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning on four charges including no authority to drive, obstructing public officers and steal motor vehicle.
But he failed to appear, so an arrest warrant was issued by Magistrate Tom Hall. Lacco was not represented in court.
A WA Police spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon. "We have been advised of the warrant and I'm not aware that he has been located."
According to court records, Lacco also has an upcoming court hearing in November to face one count of threats to injure, endanger or harm any person.
According to those records he has pleaded not guilty to that charge.
In the WA Supreme Court earlier this year during Lloyd Rayney's defamation trial, the court heard Lacco had allegedly told an acquaintance "there's a body going in there" as they drove by Kings Park.
The court was told Lacco made the remark several weeks before mother of two Corryn Rayney was found dead in Kings Park in August 2007.
Former detective Carl Casilli testified during the defamation trial he investigated Lacco over the murder of the Supreme Court registrar.
The court heard Mr Casilli visited NSW in 2009 to interview Lacco.
He obtained a search warrant of his home, finding a map of Kings Park and a layout of the Supreme Court.
Lacco allegedly told Mr Casilli he was interested in the building and had worked at the park.
Lacco has repeatedly denied any involvement in Ms Rayney's murder.
He was jailed for 12 months last year for a range of offences, including making threats against Mr Rayney.
Mr Rayney was acquitted of murdering his estranged wife in 2012 and a subsequent appeal was dismissed in 2013.
He is suing the state for being named the prime and only suspect in the case, one month after Ms Rayney's death.
