Soul Summit is an album by saxophonists Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt with organist Jack McDuff recorded in 1962 and released on the Prestige label.

Reception

The Allmusic review stated "Overall, this is an interesting and consistently swinging set that adds to the large quantity of recordings that the great Ammons did during the early '60s".

Lordz of Brooklyn

Lordz Of Brooklyn (short L.O.B.) now known as The Lordz are an American crossover Hip hop/Rock group composed of brothers and childhood friends of mostly Irish American and Italian American descent from Brooklyn, New York. The original line up consisted of the McLeer brothers, ADM (previously Ad Money, born Adam McLeer) and MC Kaves (Michael McLeer, born 1969), with Scotty Edge, Dino Bottz and Paulie Nugent (aka Paulie 2Times). Both Kaves and Edge were part of the 80s New York underground graffiti culture, and graffiti featured heavily in their music in songs like Tales From The Rails, Bomb The System, and Out Ta Bomb.

Throughout their career, the Lordz Of Brooklyn have collaborated with many artists, including Run DMC, Everlast, Bumpy Knuckles, Liroy, Busta Rhymes ("Forget Bout It Bout It"), Ozzy Osbourne (Busta Rhyme's "Iron Man" cover), Tim Armstrong ("Outlaw"), KoRn ("White Trash" remix), Shanti ("Momma's Boy" new version), Danny Diablo ("PSK What Does It Mean" Schooly D cover) and others. The group briefly collaborated with the rap supergroup La Coka Nostra.

Lake of fire

A lake of fire appears, in both ancient Egyptian and Christian religion, as a place of after-death destruction of the wicked. The phrase is used in four verses of the Book of Revelation. Such a lake also appears in Plato's Phaedo, explicitly identified with Tartarus, where the souls of the wicked are tormented until it is time for them to be reborn, and where some souls are left forever. The image was also used by the Early Christian Hippolytus of Rome in about the year 200 and has continued to be used by modern Christians. Related is Jewish Gehenna which, among other things, like hell, is a valley near Jerusalem where trash was burned.

The 1995 edition of the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia says that the Egyptian lake of fire is too remote to be relevant to the use of "lake of fire" in the Book of Revelation.
