At the moment, Frederator Digital is accepting a writing intern in our Burbank, CA office. This position would be 2 days a week on-site and involves heavy research and fact checking for our digital video productions, as well as some light writing. Please note that internship positions have little to do directly with animation or cartoon-production. Internships are for education and training.

Programming Manager Digital TV

Frederator Digital is seeking a digital-native programmer to help us program online video and bring it to linear television. This position reports to the Vice President of Programming in New York City.

Responsibilities include:

  • oversight of the Frederator Digital, channel, and show brands including maintaining on brand identity and delivering on brand promises
  • creation and execution of data-driven programming plans for a roster of O&O channels according to Frederator Digital principles
  • generate original ideas and arenas for development of programming
  • will be assigned on-air programs under the guidance of the Vice President to review, provide notes on, and approval of show outlines, scripts, roughs, and polish
  • assist in workshopping and implementing new video content optimized for each distribution network/channel
  • act as liaison between the Frederator Digital departments (programming, production, and MCN) to streamline flow of information
  • recommend and implement best practices
    • prepare regular marketing reports, summaries and plans
    • meet and exceed monthly revenue, view, and subscription-based KPIs

 

  • lead and support research projects and create materials to help internal teams better understand audience trends

 

  • ensure consistent internal communications and reporting, including campaign documentation to other teams and management
  • lead integration of digital marketing strategy for O&O roster with marketing and paid media teams

Basic Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4 – 6 years of audience development and/or digital marketing experience
  • Must have strong writing and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting sufficient to review, analyze and evaluate budgets.
  • strong analytical skills, with ability to derive meaningful actions from large data sets
  • expert with Google business suite
  • strong presentation skills
  • highly-organized and detail oriented with exceptional sense of accountability
  • expert with industry-standard analytics and reporting tools
  • experience in CPV/CPC/CPM-based business models with an understanding of paid digital ad buys on social, search, and with retargeting

Preferred:

  • experience at a mid-level to major online video publisher
  • experience producing content for YouTube is a plus
  • on-camera experience a bonus, but not required

Quantitative Business Analyst

Frederator Digital is seeking a real data hound to build our analytical support for the video programming, paid media, finance, and marketing teams. The position is new to Frederator and we’re looking for someone who can help our teams uncover critical insights across multiple business lines. We expect our quantitative business analyst to assess our programming and our strategic initiatives through the identification of key growth drivers across a broad set of channels, videos, partners, and platforms, particularly YouTube.
You will frame and structure solutions, analyzing data and applying critical thinking to make recommendations and inform major programming and business decisions. Using analytical rigor and statistical methods, you will mine through data to identify opportunities for Frederator, applying your analytical expertise to help advise strategy and optimize operations.
You will work cross-functionally with Frederator Digital’s programming, paid media, production, and marketing teams. Further, you will be responsible for coordinating how the findings and data are used and consumed: from distilling your analyses into actionable insights, preparing and circulating monthly reports, to presenting this information in dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain Frederator’s key data systems
  • Research and analyze key business drivers, competitive environment, opportunities, trends, and operating metrics based on that data.
  • Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights.
  • Analyze research data and synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations, dashboards, and regular reports.
  • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in technical or business fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an analytically-intensive role, such as management consulting, business intelligence or corporate strategy.
  • Experience with database query, SQL coding and analysis

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or passion in consumer internet, media or online video industries. Loving cartoons is a plus, though not required!
  • Excellent spreadsheet software modeling and presentation software skills.
  • Expertise in the data analysis workflow (data mining, statistical analysis, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way.
  • experience at a major YouTube network
  • experience using project management software such as Asana or Basecamp
  • Background in computer science, statistics, or financial analysis us a plus.
  • Additional statistical analysis experience (e.g. R, Python, Stata, MATLAB) is a plus.

Frederator Digital is seeking professional “YouTubers” to be full time programming managers on our owned & operated YouTube channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • oversight of the Frederator Digital, channel, and show brands including maintaining on brand identity and delivering on brand promises
  • creation and execution of data-driven programming plans for a roster of O&O channels according to Frederator Digital principles
  • extending and developing robust editorial calendars and publishing schedules
  • Content ID and CMS Management for channel roster
  • recommend and implement video SEO and YouTube best practices
  • YouTube optimization and performance analysis including titles, tags, descriptions, thumbnails, annotations, post frequency, etc.
  • review, provide notes, and approval of show outlines, scripts, roughs, and polish
  • assist in workshopping and implementing new video content optimized for each distribution network/channel
  • prepare regular marketing reports, summaries and plans
  • meet and exceed monthly revenue, view, and subscription-based KPIs
  • lead and support research projects and create materials to help internal teams better understand audience trends
  • ensure consistent internal communications and reporting, including campaign documentation to other teams and management
  • lead integration of digital marketing strategy for O&O roster with marketing and paid media teams
  • work closely with paid media team to manage delivery of ongoing advertising and reporting; ensure implementation of sponsored and branded content
