One lucky WA lotto ticket holder is a whopping $16.6 million richer on Tuesday night after scooping a huge share in the $50m Oz Lotto jackpot.
Lotterywest confirmed on Tuesday night that three tickets across the country had matched all seven numbers, with one winner having bought their ticket at The Lucky Charm, in Gwelup.
The other two winners came from Queensland and New South Wales and all the three tickets will each scoop a life-changing $16,666,666.67.
Prior to the draw it was anticipated that stores around the state would sell as many as 450 tickets per minute - as lotto players dreamed of a share of what is the highest jackpot in 2017.
The lucky numbers were: 2,45,29,7,23,19 and 21 with supplementary numbers 37 and 43.
Lotterywest spokesperson Chloe Lawler confirmed that Tuesday night's win was the largest in WA for this year, exceeding the two $15 million Lotto prizes won earlier in 2017.
"Tonight's win contributes to the State's fast growing tally of Division 1 Lotto winners which has now reached 36 so far this year," Ms Lawler said.
"These winners alone have now shared in over $90 million in prize money. I'm certainly looking forward to welcoming our newest multimillionaire to the Lotterywest winner's room sometime soon."
One other WA winner, who bought their ticket at Subiaco Square Lottery Centre, will also be cashing-in a more-than-handy Division Two winning ticket - making them $46,995.50 better off.
The huge win comes just a day after a Mandurah man came forward to claim $1 million in Monday Lotto prize money, after purchasing a Division 1 winning ticket.
